Hi all. I have been doing macro for the last few months and I am currently using a ring flash from Godox. The flash is great, but the lighting has all the famous problems of ring flashes. I am looking for an alternative and it seems that speedlite flashes are the favourite of most macro photographers. A good choice for me too, or are there twin flashes I should look at?

Heya all, in a few weeks I’m rebooting my photography gear. I can pretty much go any direction brand wise. I’m concentrating on macro and bird photography with this setup. I’ve been looking at offerings from Canon, Nikon, Sony and Olympus. So far from all the research I’ve done I’m leaning towards an Olympus OM1 with the 60mm macro lens and the 100-400 for birds. Any thoughts or advice before I spend a chunk of money.

I see a lot of photographers spraying some sort of liquid onto flowers that attracts bee’s to it and when sprayed on a flower with a bee, the bee stays very still.
As a macro photographer its very hard to get a sharp image of a bee that is moving around. Most of the time a bee will stay on a flower for only 3-6 seconds. It takes me a few seconds to set up the shot, and to get the right focal length. I only have a few seconds to set up so I have to be very quick which means not a huge success rate. Most shots are like shooting blanks. They’re blurry 95% of the time or out of focus.
I would really like to know what I can do to make this spray, or where I can buy it.
Hello. Looking for some advice (pretty please).
I would like to do some macro shots (insects, plants…) - I got a few cameras, but not sure what to do/buy next?
I am guessing some lens extensions, right?
Any leads?

Please ignore the dirty lens. This appears to be the most common spider in my garden.
I'm looking for a external and cheap flash for macro photography for a Olympus camera. Do you have any recommendations?
