Rome hereby marches to annex the land of the Samnites, and bring it under the order of Roman rule!

The Heroes of Rome hereby announce that as a monument to the gods a Colessium will be erected in the capital! With seats for thousands of spectators it will feature massive statues of the Heroes of Rome, 4 men tall! The first event in this new monument will be the battle of the treasonous senators and their senators as well as beasts of the world. It will be a spectacle for the Millenium!

The generals of the Roman Legions hereby declare that due to the weakness of the Roman Republic we have taken over the state in a military coup and forced the surving Senators and politians into exile. Rome will no longer be ruled by a weak government and slow democracy. Instead all decisions made by the true Heroes of Rome will be carried out unequivocally and all voices of dissent will be swiftly dealt with. Rome is hereby declared ot be in a state of martial law.

Any found to be out after sunrise will be punished in the forum with 30 whips and a day in the stocks.

Any gatherings without government consent are strictly prohibited and will be swiftly met with indescrimate persecution of all those involved.

All blades greater than 1 cubit must be brought forward to be kept by the government. Faliure to comply will result in the removal of a limb for each offense.

Any found harbouring criminals of the state will suffer the same punishment as those they are sheltering.

Talking out against the Heroes of Rome will result in the removal of one's tongue.

Any citizen or person that injures, plans to injure, or conspires to injure a Hero of Rome or the Heroes of Rome's troops will have their ears removed. If there are no ears to be removed their nose will be removed. If there is no nose to be removed their eyes will be removed. If there are no eyes to be removed their limbs are to be removed. Following this they will be kept in a cage within the forum for the public to see. After one week they are to executed by 100 slashes from a dagger. If they die before then, the slashes will continue. Their remains will be thrown out of the city for the animals.

All those who fail to follow this decree will have their immediate family within three generations follow the same punishment.

There are many new positions available for all members. For each position, I will try to give a brief explanation of their rights and responsibilities, although I recommend everyone to read and understand the constitution and the how-to guide.

##Positions Anyone Can Stand For

The following positions are available for anyone to apply for, regardless of being a Senator or a Plebeian. (For clarification, any new member is a Plebeian)

General - This person will act as the commander-in-chief of Rome and will give orders to the army during times of war. I plan for at least one conflict during the upcoming term where the General will take control of the military and make actions with advice from the Senate. It is important to note that this position is not mutually exclusive with any other position, so you can apply for this and any other.

##Positions Only Plebeians Can Stand For

The following positions are only available for Plebeians.

Tribune of the Plebs - The Tribune will act much like the Consuls, in that they can debate in both the Senate and the Assembly, as well as can choose the order of bills/motions debated on. This is the most prestigious position a plebeian can get.

##Positions Only Senators Can Stand For

The following positions are only available for Senators.

Praetors - One Praetor is to be elected. The Praetors are primarily responsible for interpreting Roman law and acting as judges in the Roman Courts.

Consul - Two people will be elected to this position, and for this term, I will allow non-Senators to run. This position essentially is the same as a Prime Minister or President, but with some very specific advantages outlined in the Constitution, like a Veto. There is a constitutional exception to the Senate requirement if the Plebian has previously served as a Tribune or General.

Until the start of the voting period, anyone can announce their intents to stand for a position that they are eligible for at any time.

For the past while, the whole of Rome has reveled in the festivities of Saturnalia, and has taken part of the feast that Saturn has graciously given us. It is important to remember these feasts and gifts do not come freely, and come from the labour borne out of a love of Rome. The censorship would like to take this oppurtunity to honour the people that have worked so hard to ensure that these festivities take place, and thus we have decided to give the government a break for a period of one week. Members of the government may still do their duties of creating and submitting bills, however they will not be posted until the ending of this governmental reccess.

Romulus and Remus would be proud of what has become of Rome.
