It's a nice gimmick to get you to buy more of something you likely already have. It's up there with the idea of "lip toppers" which is just a fucking lipgloss with glitter and shit.
I'm talking about things like the old school Wet N Wild that were under $1. I think it's because many of us (or just me!) have problems with the new style of liners that are more gel like than pencil. Pencils also last longer so to me they are going away with that due to companies knowing people will replace them a lot faster due to the perceived expiration and because of frustration with how to use them.
Companies know they can get away with making it as cheaply as possible because they know people will buy it strictly due to nice packaging (Colourpop and Too Faced comes to mind) or because it makes a nice gift (all companies).
Jaclyn has a core base of fans that support her regardless who likely wouldn’t care about the lack of deep shades or how ashy the available darker shades are.
She’s also already recovered from probably the worst makeup launch in recent memory, so I doubt she’s scared of bad press! She released hairy lipsticks and her next launch after that sold out completely even though it was mystery boxes, which is probably the scariest thing to buy from the hairy lipstick people. There’s also been a huge discussion about shade ranges happening in makeup for years now, it’s the first thing anyone talks about when complexion products are released. There’s no way she didn’t know there would be backlash. I think she wants to get her name out there to go from an influencer brand to a mainstream one like Huda.
I recently saw the posts on Twitter about the scamming allegedly taking place again. Made a few comments with Cole Carrigan tagged. Next morning my almost inactive Twitter is hacked into and locked out.
Just a conspiracy of mine, kinda strange kinda funny.
Two drama channels, Hereforthetea2 and Def Noodles have posted that James was caught out by the paparazzi. Tea Spill then retweeted this on her page. I don't believe this is true.
In the video purported by drama channels to show the James sighting, you can clearly hear the man with whom James is having a conversation say "I know you've never had alcohol." This means that it would have to be before his drunk makeup tutorial on May 29, 2020.
Of course, this story is not a big deal. But I do believe that drama channels need to do better research as to not spread misinformation. I have seen this happen quite a few times. And the thing is, this took me all of 3 minutes to figure out.
Do you think the MUA YT world is dead?
I mean I get that you don't have to know how to make yourself up, to think it up and produce it but at this point, after all the shit he's talked, just only the way he puts on his lipstick, and then when I go ahead and google him I find out he barely wear a colored lipstick, I think because he just can't properly do it without looking like Jynx gave him directions, I just assume he doesn't actually like makeup, or he just fires every one trying to give him tips.
Tati was the beauty influencer who I watched most often and I’ve really missed her since her disappearance. I was just looking her up to see if there had been any recent updates and saw that she put her home on the market late last year which seems to suggest she might be trying to disappear from the public eye altogether. Do you think she will ever return or provide an explanation? Is Jefree Starr really so toxic that the girl felt unsafe in her own home or did she just want to start a new life? Thoughts?
In short, j* is releasing a new makeup launch and amongst the usual gimmicks is a yellow tinted lip gloss called “urethra” whose appearance is that of dollar store concealer smeared onto a pout. Now, I believe j* did not release this gloss because he was in love with the color or output. Rather, I think j* is well aware that beauty gurus are avoiding his products like the plague. Views are down on his channel and there is circumstantial evidence that the company is simply not selling at the volume they use to. So how to get customers interested? Created a product so bad it gets negative buzz that brings people to ur site to look at the beast of the color. I would also put good money that once the shopping window goes live the color will be listed last, forcing the viewer to scroll past all the normal nice shades before getting there in the hopes that they will take the bait and buy one of those. Bad press is still press. We will just have to see if it pans out.
Cole Carrigan had stolen content from a smaller OnlyFans account and charging close to double of what the original was. The original creator posted a whole exposé on it. I will link it down below. Cole has blocked the original creator on Twitter and Instagram.
My prediction is that Shane chose jafar over Trisha because of money and the contract. I presume when Shane signed his merch and makeup deal he probably signed something that said he would work together for X time after and an NDA to keep jafars trade secrets and dirty laundry. Shane probably also knows that this comeback he has needs jeffree to work. He probably knows that Trisha will probably come back to him if he manipulates her the right way so he is likely not to worried about her holding shit over his head cause Jeffree has a lot more on her. I think maybe Shane is scared of jafar, but he wants to be a mean girl just like him so his morals are fired, not that he had any anyway.
I think that whatever comeback they have will try to redeem them and then they will relaunch the merch that came out during the dramagetton 3 summer fiasco with the hope of selling it to new viewers and the sympathers. My conspiracy with why that kept coming out is the contract and because they had so many ideas and plans they planned to keep selling merch at the November 19 rate and probably didn’t foresee this coming and didn’t plan for it to be this bad.
if them Shane regignites his passion for makeup and makes some new products in a 1 yr Anniversary, it would probably not go well, but whatever grand plan Shane has seems to be twarted for now, no social activity since the Trisha meltdown. I think this may lead to a change in video style, like the change from food videos 🤢 to conspiracy’s and then to the awful docuvlogs- I wonder what he’s going to try his hand at next
Someone mentioned in a different sub (not sure if I’m allowed to link the comment) that there’s a theory going around that the tutorials on the Instagram page are done on a silicone doll. I looked it up and the close-ups started looking more and more like those incredibly lifelike robots that are custom made companions.
For reference, Whitney Cummings made one for her Netflix special a few years ago and it looks really good.
I’m only half serious and fell into the rabbit hole while I was avoiding to work out, so I hope it makes someone else laugh too.
Here are some of the tutorials from the Pat McGrath page that to me look like could be on a robot.

I don't know how but I have a feeling this is part of some.... plan
I’ve always thought that the channel Porcelain buys subs, since it says she has 100K+ subs but only pulls, on average, 1-5K views per video. Are there others that give anybody hinky vibes? 👀
So jafar in Rylands podcast said he was starting to get into Porn and he was writing his memoir ( or well a ghost writer is) I think this will play into his downfall...
We all know at this point jafar can’t keep up with his lies.. his 106, 103.3000 yr old grandma. His trip to see his grandma where he was seen with fans in LA that day, I think it was the same day he bought his new car too.. and his flip flopping over James and Darvhie or if they are a danger to society...
So if he can’t maintain the lies he tells over the last few months and year how will his book end? If he tells lies that directly contradicts something he posted on Twitter or on Snapchat or on one of his infamous Instagram rants stirring up drama, one or more if the drama channels will pick it up and drag the whole lie apart easily. So he’ll be caught in saying he was either lying then or lying now..
and he probably won’t remember what he use to write on his melodramatic page under the username Cunt, but Liam Mcenvoy has it recorded in video format so unless he watches that video if he pretends he didn’t write that, and he changes his story about things he admitted to like the lipstick Nazi or the things that were videos of him on his warped tour were edited to make him look bad he will be directly contradicting evidence from that era that tells a whole other story. And if he tries to play the victim the backlash would be equally as huge
Plus the while trying to destroy manny, Laura, James, Kat and many other MUAs doesn’t exactly make him look good so if he speaks of that it would just fan flames of drama we are already well aware of and already highly critical of you for.
I think if he’s dumb he will just add to his own downfall by adding extra details to things we know are true or alleged like the rape with the insider article or will contradict what he’s said before or is recorded as proof on video format..
I watched his new video today which was swatching all the old liquid lipsticks he created, it was under the guise of memory lane but I think it’s a ploy to boost his buisness which is probably not growing and stuggling a little..
So I think showing all the liquid lips will bring hype to his brand once again as his dedicated fans will ask and beg him to bring back shades they love or haven’t got because they were from old ( pre Shane) collections.. if it’s done on Twitter It could make it seem like he’s got some amazing brand that’s growing fast and doing amazing even if that isn’t the case, which I presume it isn’t. Hence will attract newer makeup lovers who are naive to his issues and looking for makeup which has a good formula. ( even if it is overpriced)
Because jafars buisness isn’t reaching new audiences like it did with the 2 Shane collabs, it’s stuck with its dedicated audience who are either to young to understand the issues we have with jafar or older audiences probably don’t care about the drama or as a drama channel once suggested racists defending a racist so they don’t care that he’s done awful things in his past..
Plus a lot of influencers in the makeup realm no longer support jafar after this summers fiaco and his reputation is still in taters, especially considering how highs a regard him and his brand were held last November.
The higher they are held the further they can fall
Not sure if I’m just not looking correctly, but our friendly neighborhood censormod isn’t listed under mods for BGCr. Anyone else seeing the same?
Apologies for format I'm on mobile
So I checked out the website yesterday after the launch of the Blood Money Collection and it all said sold out underneath. I checked a few minutes ago and suddenly everything is in stock. This has happened a few times now when I've checked after a launch, has anyone else noticed this?
