Following up from a post a few days ago regarding a mount and red dot sight for my SP89, and with some suggestions from some of you on this thread, I purchased an Infitech HK G3/MP5 Aimpoint Micro mount, along with an ACRO P-2™ 3.5 MOA - Red Dot Reflex Sight. The mount fits perfectly (see photos) while the ACRO most certainly doesn't.

I am admittedly pretty new to all this, but based on the information I gathered this red dot SHOULD have fit this thing like a glove, but it didn't. And seemingly if I put an adapter of some kind on it, it's going to be mounted too high.

I was pumped to add all of this to the gun tonight, and sitting here pretty dejected.

Anyway- would any of you know what red dot sight would actually slide right into this Infitech mount? Because any information I can find online is vague at best, so I figured I'd come back here before I ship all of this back.

Would this work with a metal lower POF MP5? If not are there any extended safety options for the POF that would not require mods or a new housing?

Next up, form 1, B&T stock, VFG, and need a tri lug for my 9mm can now.

Purchased an HK SP5 full size and also ordered a UTG hand guard because I think it looks slick. I’ve seen different people talk about the charging handle being an issue with that hand guard. Do I need to order a different charging handle? Dremel this one down so it won’t get hung up? Or is that not a problem with HK models and only a problem with clones?

So I have been testing my SP5 in super safe and I can't get the thing to run. It wont eject the cases and the spent case stays in the gun and then feeds a live and jams up.

I am using a lee sporting lower with standard milspec stuff, hoffman spec SS, a metal slip trip and a buffer on the spring.

What I've done:

The gun has been cleaned thoroughly and I installed a new extractor spring as well since I was having the same failures with my standard pack.

I have gone in and used my other buffer and cut it down to see if the gun was short stroking and not getting enough bolt movement.

I tried a plastic slip trip which failed.

The ejector does not sit below the bolt I checked.

I did run my suppressor and it did run suppressed, so this leads me to believe that the the issue is the carrier weight or too much force required to reset the AR hammer in rapid succession.

So what else should I do? I have a lightened AR hammer spring, would that help? I think I am losing my mind trying to get this thing to run.

Just got my mac 5 already knew about the bolt gap issues i just measured mine and the biggest i can it is 0.25/.010 would adding a 100 degree locking piece fix this or will i have to be to send it out?

QQ, new to the platform and wanted to use the B&T UMP stock on my AP5 as I am 6,3 and would like the longest LOP possible. Will that stock work for my AP5 as it states it is for the K models. Thanks in advance.

I recently picked up a new MKE A3 stock, and I'm a little disappointed with the condition. There are few paint chips on the rails straight out of the box. I know the rails will get scratched from collapsing, but has any one seen paint chips in their new stock? Or does my just have excessive paint on it?

Is it an issue that the rear sight on my AP5 isn't flush with the receiver? Is it worth sending it back?

Squarespace still hasn't fixed my domains DNS error after they acquired it from Google Domains, so what's another month after it's already been 3... anyways files will be available for download "@BrownsBrush". I still need to finalize what springs are too be used and hopefully a cutting jig to make adjustments to your rails with a dremel.

Got an AP5 on order and I noticed it can direct thread a can but has the tri-lug as well. This would be my only tri-lug host if I go with the mount.

Anyone using direct thread over the tri-lug? Pros or cons?

EDIT: Consensus has it. Ordering tri-lug for the vibes.

In-stock at HK parts and I have no idea who could build it out correctly. I'd love to have one, though.

I was having issues with my rounds not extracting/ejecting and I thought it was the Lee lower or pack height but shimming it didn't fix it and also changing to my original pack I was getting the same issues, so went in and deep cleaned everything as well as installed a new extractor spring (has like 2000 rounds and a lot of it suppressed on it) and hopefully it runs better now.
