"White Bread Meets Multigrain" One-shot. The first fic I wrote for the new Core/CGI Masters of the Universe. I wrote this back before the series even came out, when all we had was the teaser trailer and the revelation that Keldor was completely human and not half-Gar like in every previous iteration that used the Keldor-backstory for Skeletor. This fic crosses over the "Masters of the Multiverse" comic (2019) with my interpretation of the time of White Bread Keldor from Core/CGI.
"Sleepless" One-Shot. My first official fic for the Core/CGI series after its release. Taking place not long after the season 1 finale when Skeletor took over as King of Eternos. Trap Jaw is having trouble sleeping at night. Evil-Lyn don't exactly comfort him, but she's there for him.
"Calm Before the Heist" One-Shot. The last quiet night on the Dreadwing before Evil-Lyn makes Teela steal the sword in the first episode.
"Intersecting Orbits" One-Shot. Prequel fic about Kronis when he was still a teenager with ambitions of becoming Man-at-Arms. The first time he sees Evelyn is from afar, but he's captivated at once! (This was written before the release of Season 3 and the big reveal that Hordak is Lyn's dad. In this fic, Lyn's father is the Faceless One.)
"Underwear Collision" One-Shot. Lady Evelyn is the Court Magician. Kronis is Randor's Man-at-Arms. They bump into each other one day while shopping.
"Duncan's 'Trouble in the Sue-Esss' Playlist" Multi-chapter work. My first multi-chapter word for either of the Netflix shows, and it's based off the Tumblr memes from when the Evergiven got stuck in the Suez Canal. This fic was meant to be funny. But I can't guarantee that it actually is. Its really more of just a mess.
Mostly, I've just read one-shots for Revelation, and only for part 1 so far. But for anyone who's interested, here they are!
"No Mere Machine" One-Shot. After Roboto's noble sacrifice to reforge the sword, he receives his heroic reward.
"Still Together" One-Shot. A Tri-Klops/Trap Jaw ship fic. They were together for years under Skeletor, and they're still together now under the cult of Motherboard. And they'll always be together. No matter what.
"What She Wanted" One-Shot. Angsty moment with Evil-Lyn after the finale of Part 1 when Skeletor became Skelegod. (I had a very different interpretation of what being "Skele-GOD" would entail, than what actually happened in canon).
"At His Side" One-Shot. More of a wild fan theory than an actual story. After I read the Rev tie-in comics and learned that Skeletor had a Fridge Wife in this continuity, I went wild with the implications.
"Neighborly" One-Shot. Based off a conversation over Discord. This is by far the funniest fic I've written for Rev. But it's also the most poorly edited.
FUCK ALL OF YOU PUSSIO This show was nothing but heat God damn, also fuck me for listening to the internet. Never ever taking online recommendations ever.
The best way I can describe this show is if you ordered a pizza with pepperoni and sausage, but then got a delicious cookie cake that was covered in hot sauce right before it was picked up.
Like many of you, when most people heard of Revelations we hoped for a more of He-Man vs. Skeletor. It was not that at all. It was Teela vs Evil Lynn. Although, not what was asked for, it was done very well. The story was solid. The voice casting was spot on. The music was excellent. And the artwork was freaking brilliant. Overall, it was fantastic, just not what people asked for but kudos to everyone but one that worked on this.
That one person, and I hate saying this, being Kevin Smith. He's the hot sauce poured on the cookie cake. I love Kevin Smith, he seems like a good dude, but had he been a bit more honest in promotion of this series, I think it would've been received better.
Even after part 1 came out, he stuck to his guns and said "wait until part 2" to those upset that it wasn't a He-Man centric story. The story was fine but why not advertise it more openly and honestly. Yeah, and the "fisting" line was juvenile. Dude, your in your 50's was that really needed in a kid's cartoon. Grow up dude.
Overall, Revelations was great. It wasn't what I hoped for, but what it did deliver was excellent... And again, the artwork was freaking amazing. The biggest hindrance to it was the dishonesty in the advertisement.
