For context I have gastroparesis and have been on a long path trying to get diagnosed. My mother has been my biggest advocate and tried really hard to support me/help me through this and encouraged me to go to lots of different doctors and even switched insurance so that I could seek better specialists. She doesn't want to watch me struggle and is/has been very worried about me.
My gastroparesis is caused by hormone therapy---hormone therapy that I have to be on for the rest of my life and that I get severely severely depressed and exhausted without. And the only reason I felt safe enough to take it was after I started using weed and knew I had an escape when the horrible nausea and stomach pain started.
I started the process of titrating my HRT earlier this year and have really wanted to tell her that I found the help I've been desperately searching for but I've been too afraid. Her and my father are older and I'm pretty sure anti weed because when I mentioned the possibility of weed or CBD to her as I was researching it, she thought it was snake oil.
However she's a very intelligent woman, someone who regularly sends me scientific research she thinks might help me, and she literally works at NASA. I think if I approach this conversation in a delicate manner, and explain my experience and some of the science supporting weed, she'd listen and even be supportive. All 3 of my older sisters have also been recreational users, and would be able to back me up.
My doctors even know about my marijuana use, and are fairly supportive so I don't see why she wouldn't be.
That being said I'm still very nervous to do so as I still live with her. So if anyone has great research I could point her towards in favor of medical marijuana, or ways to go about approaching the subject, I would very much appreciate it.
I'm looking to apply for a MMJ card for my anxiety, but I get very nervous when talking on the phone. Roughly how long are the phone calls and what are they about? Considering Nuggmd and Dr Weedy, or other options. Thanks!
Hi, i am currently interested in applying for my medical card in Pennsylvania and had a few questions i cant seem to get answered. I'm not a huge firearm person, but i do have one in my possession from when i used to CC back in 2017. My questions are:
Will i be expected to relinquish this firearm immediately?
Is it true i will no longer be able to purchase firearms?
If i decide to not renew my medical card in the future, will my right to buy and bear arms be re-instated?
Will my wife be able to purchase firearms in her name while i have my card? (Obv we live in the same home)
I understand this makes me seem like a bigger 2A person than i actually am, but i just want to make sure im not going to break any laws or rules that would interfere with me obtaining this medicine. Just want to do things right. Thank you all in advance! :)
I'm 6'3. 40 years old, 180 lbs, pretty active, not a lot of body fat except a bit on my belly. I know THC sticks to fat cells. TIA!!
So, I'm going to my local store and say trick or treat!... holding a Chucky doll (no knifes) face will be shown yada yada...
I wonder if they will oblige? Maybe I should cut up their bag into a pumpkin face?
I tried the bread method and paper towel method and its still dry :(. When I did the methods it would be moist for a bit then when I stored it in a jar with like a silicone ring around it, the ones from Spencers, it turns dry again. Someone help plz :,).
I’m scheduled for surgery next week and I’ve been advised to stop consuming cannabis one week before surgery. I know this is done to decrease the chances of complications, but what are those complications? How likely is it to occur? And how important is it really to stop for a whole week? Im currently unable to eat more than small bites here and there or sleep without cannabis, so I really don’t want to take a full week off.
I’m about to apply for a card from NuggMD, but my friend was telling me I shouldn’t get a card because it can increase all my insurance rates ? When looking it up I can’t find any information that this is true so I’m wondering does anyone know if this is true? I’m 20 y/o in California.
So I took a drug test -urine for lab corp. I am 5’2 and like 100lbs. I haven’t smoked in 3month and 10 days. The last time I took a drug test was 1 month into being clean and I had failed it. I smoked flower heavily, like 4 blunts everyday for a year. Should I be worried for my drug test?
Are there any herbal supplements or adaptogens that react badly in combination with heavy cannabis use? A drop in blood pressure, for example? And a second question: Do you know a MOM (mail order marijuana) in BC, Canada that offers substantial bulk discounts? For example, 50% off the total price if you pickup 8 AAA ounces!
Budtrader is down. I want to post an ad but no luck. Any good alternatives besides Reddit? lol

okay so i've been taking edibles daily for a little over a year. my tolerance has quickly shot up to 100mg a day and i could probably go over that if i wanted. i have tried taking tolerance breaks, but weed is the only thing helping my pain. So, when i take tolerance breaks I am in so much physical pain I can't function and lay in bed on the heating pad all day. I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and Im in a wheelchair. I also have other chronic pain conditions. what can I do? my edibles are hitting less and less🥲
Update: I titrated down to 50mg a night slowly and it is working well
Is there a point at which she can take too much? We are supplementing my mom’s chemo with RSO and she definitely enjoys it. We’ve gotten her up to 1ml a day, and she’d like to take more. We’re dosing .2ml on crackers throughout the day. Avg 70% thc. So is there a point where more is not good?
was planning on going to a dispo over here in cali soon, curious if i can print out the doctors recommendation paper myself and just use that or if i should wait for nuggmd to deliver the paper? unsure if the official paper comes with any official stamp or anything like that
I 19M live in the state of California. For the past few years I've been struggling with depression, stress and anxiety. I just got my state ID in the mail a few days ago and I was going to seek NuggMD for the MMJ card. But I'm unsure what to really expect of the process and how it goes, additionally if I get my MMJ card and go to dispensaries, what would that be like? And what should I expect from using marijuana for the first time? Any recommendations? Sorry if this post is packed with questions, I just wanna know everything before I start the process. Any info helps!
I have severe migraines, chronic uncontrolled nausea, depression, and joint pain daily. My dad is on board with talking to my neurologist about it but is it worth it? Like people with similar symptoms to myself has MMJ helped you personally? I don’t want my dad to go through like unnecessary hassle if it won’t help bc ik it’s not free. I’m 16 btw.
EDIT: Pediatric mmj patients are a thing in Delaware and my nausea qualifies me,yes all other options have been exhausted.
Struggled with insomnia most of my life, but have found that cannabis almost entirely eliminates it. Had a medical card in California for a year but I've just moved to Washington. Looks like Washington is a bit stricter about which conditions are eligible for mmj though I'm wondering if Insomnia is something people can get cannabis prescribed for here or no?
