Had hoped we may see him back at Legion but good for him. Lots of advantages with a Tongan passport over a regular American passport in rugby.
I’ll be with my 72 year old father in hopes of meeting our super distant kin, Connal McInerney, when the Free Jacks are in town.
What are general admission tickets like at the SoccerPlex? Only grass seating or can we sit down in non-reserved seats?
Does Old Glory have a tradition of the players hanging out on the field after the game? Do the visiting players hang out on the field after the game too? Or only the home team?
We’ll be staying in Foggy Bottom DC for the weekend. What’s the best way to get to the game?
Still new to watching (started last season) and my hometown team went 0-16 on the year. I know they're building up American rugby skills and whatnot, but should I expect a win this year? How does the talent match up to the other MLR teams?
Just found out last night that a friend of mine has joined MLRugby as an executive. He came from the NHL so I am pretty confident that his new role will make an impact on the league's growth. That said - I just looked and realized that Dallas does NOT have a team anymore. Bummed - I wanted to watch some rugby locally. Advice on where I can watch it in person, and also get to know the sport a bit more?

Has anyone heard about if there will be a major broadcast partner with a game of the week? FoxSports was decent last year, but I hope they are announcing a broadcast partner soon.

One thing I keep thinking about is the academy setups and their interactions with college. The single sticking point in player development once in the pathway is the path from 18 to 22. Seth Smith last year compared his daily routine to that of a college player, and frankly outside of a few schools, most players are not getting the level of feedback needed to improve.
What if players were drafted and the teams could hold the rights for 4 years? Wouldn’t this allow the teams to invest more in their development and help guide them instead of just leaving it to their university?
This is Race to the Shield on the MLR app.
I was just reading that David Busby becomes domestic eligible this year. I know Brian Ray does a pretty good job in the roster’s identity of domestic players but is there a list of people who become domestic this year?
Want to avoid calling everyone cheaters for too many international players ! 😂
Not a lot of surprises here. Totally forgot Mika Kruse signed with Seattle. I wonder if his brother landed anywhere. Thoughts?
Hey everyone, I’m interested in a database where you can see every result and statistics of the MLR and the US Eagles. Does it exist (I know MLRStats but something more)? I just feel like Americans love statistics that tell a story and provide context. Would love to see some stats like this.
All time Carries, Rushing Yards, Tries, Wins, Losses Head to Head wins/loses Teams ATS (Against the spread) Quirky stats Players vs a certain team? Coaches vs a certain team?
I honestly can’t find the eagles results prior to 2019.. What are your thoughts and maybe some ideas on how to do this? Anyone know how the NFL or other leagues keep track of this?
I few years ago I deleted my twitter account and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. However, one of the draw backs was how much more difficult it has been following MLR and USA Rugby. I have had a few accounts on the fediverse, mastodon and lemmy specifically, to replace my other social media account. I know this is a long shot but does anyone know any good rugby content accounts to follow on those platforms?
Grey Media and NOLA Gold sign deal to have Gold games broadcast throughout the Gulf South.
Super cool to see this crossover. Maybe it will lead to a loan partnership between the Drua with LA?
