These terms are being algorithmically assigned to cannabis products, and I think it is causing a placebo effect to people who aren't taking the time to educate themselves. I think that "coin terming" cannabis is extremely detrimental to the scientific and psychological benefits that are available, buried in the mountains of unpublished research. I think that these cookie cutter labels are ruining the experience, out of the gate for some users. It instills a preconceived notion of desired effect. However, we all know human chemistry is very fickle. Especially, when you are dealing with a physiological substance.

The experience is completely controlled by the end user. So, if you put a 'splinter' in ones mind, it will certainly control their experience.

A friend of mine was telling me that some states will allow you to grow more plants if they are specifically designed for cancer patients or other significant medical issues. Does anyone know if Maryland has any such program? Or do we pretty much think as long as it's federally illegal no such program will exist?

I got a quarter of purple koala by Grow West at NCW in perrysville. I like the terp mixture and it’s a decent smoke but I was a little caught off guard but the very loose trim job. A lot of full sugar leaves were kept intact. No outright fan leaves, but a lot more sugar leaves than any other buds I’ve purchased in MD.

I personally prefer a loose trim because I have smoked home grown for years now.. but my question is; do they advertise this kind of trim or talk about it at all or was it poor QC?

I don’t see it on the packaging or their website but I do see they advertise hand trimming.
