I have class on Tue and Thurs for a Italian class. They moved the upcoming class to Monday because they are presenting at an event for the school. I told them I won't be able to attend because I haven't another class on Monday and stating I hope it won't affect my attendance and that I would watch the recorded lecture (I already missed one class for personal issues and now this unexpected event would result in another absence affecting my grade). They said they are able to change it because it's on the syllabus, which states: "The syllabus and/or calendar may be changed at the professor’s discretion to accommodate changes during the semester.

Can a professor really change the date of class even though it's outside of the original class schedule and still have it affect attendance just because they put so on the syllabus, I'm mostly just curious at this point?

I just got the bank mobile text, and it is not what Miami Dade student portal says, I am only getting a portion of what the total refund is on the student portal and am confused as to why. Would I be getting the rest in the future or is this it?

I just got a letter from Miami Dade stating that I'm not eligible for financial aid. I'm a dependent, so I had to add my mom's income as well as my stepdad's, but they don't give me any money at all, and I myself only make around 28k-30k/year. Is that considered a lot of money when it comes to financial aid? I don't make a lot and I don't have a ton of leftover money.

I also got a litter stating that my program was not eligible for aid, but that doesn't make sense because I'm a full-time student and I'm doing my nursing prerequisites. Any advice?

Hey everyone, I registered for 3 classes running from 10/21/24 - 12/13/24 (Fast Paced courses). I realized one of them was dooming me to fail and I withdrew without refund ( last date to withdraw with refund was 3 days ago). My first question is if there is anyway I can try to speak to financial aid or someone to explain and try to get my money back for the course since the drop date was three days ago, and my second question is since I withdrew without refund will financial aid ask me to pay them back the amount for the course? Financial Aid paid like 81 dollars for the course so nothing crazy but I'm still curious. Thanks guys!

Hi, has anyone here ever taken a PHI class with AJ Kreider? What’d you think of him? I’m asking because he’s been making some rude and unnecessary comments about people who live in homestead lately and i find them so out of place and not beneficial to the class at all. He basically says people who live in homestead are stupid and I think that’s extremely offensive considering no one attending college can really help where they live..

What’s the latest you can apply to a program? I know it’s says milestone reviews are due by may 1st. but is it possible i can apply to a program early august? or have anyone applied to a program late and still got in?

MDC Medical Campus will be hosting an open house next Wednesday, the 30th, from 5-7pm.

Many programs will be participating and are excited to show guests their labs, class rooms, and give you an opportunity to ask questions to faculty and current program students! It’s a great opportunity for those curious about a program (or two) that want a closer look at the ins and outs.

You will also be able to check out the campus’s Simulation Hospital! It’s pretty cool.

What's the general consensus of dressing up for Halloween? Probably more common on actual Halloween day but what if you don't have class that day?

Why do 3 of the classes I enrolled in say "SCEPD OUTREACH CENTERS TTTT" when I click on the weekly calendar? I go to Wolfson and clicked Wolfson Campus for these classes, but it says this. Does anyone know what it means?
