Lynnwood, Washington is a commuter city/bedroom community. A northern suburb of Seattle, WA and at the same time a southern suburb of Everett, WA. It is most notable for the Alderwood Mall, the largest (and we would argue best) mall in the area. Lynnwood is only about 4 miles from the Puget Sound and about 70 from great skiing, hiking, and other outdoor activities in the North Cascades.

Just saw a cop hiding with his donut in the bush by the ramp to I5 ready to fish. Be careful guys.
Guess taping the game wasnt worth it, thanks for the spoilers
Any wavy-curlies with fine hair here who could recommend a great stylist in the area? Looking for somewhere in the Kenmore - Monroe - Arlington - Edmonds geographical area; not a fan of driving to Seattle/Bellevue for a haircut. Thanks a million!
I’m looking to find ways to meet people in the area and also get some education in some new. Does anyone have suggestions for sewing, knit, crochet, cooking, baking, bookbinding or anything else that might be fun. I have found it super hard to connect with people here and I’m trying to put my best foot forward. Being in your 40’s without kids has just made it harder to meet people so I’m hopeful that this might help. Any positive thoughts would be appreciated. Oh also if there is a group that goes to different art performances that would be amazing too. When I lived in Baltimore I was in one that went to the symphony, theater, drag shows, ballet, food talks, book talks, opera and all sorts of arts stuff. It was so much fun maybe there is something like that here. The only one I found was for senior citizens so maybe someone knows of one in the area that does this. I’m also learning French so even an adult class for that or a volunteering opportunity. Hopefully there are tons of things I just haven’t found yet. Thanks for any suggestions.
We are all aware that the holiday season has starred and traffic gets intense around Alderwood Mall.
But I tell you one thing: it is bad because basic principles of movement/ traffic are not well applied. Example: one traffic light is red, the next green, the next red. Just badly planned which caused more traffic than the extra volumes of cars in itself…
Is this alcohol only sold in Pierce County or does anyone know if it's sold in Lynnwood? I usually got it at Shell, but the one I went to didn't have any

The Lynnwood air cannon alert system has indicated a 50% chance of air cannon activity on Sunday, December 1st between 1PM and 1:30PM. This forecast will increase to 100% pending a Seahawks victory over the Jets.
Are you missing a blue bike? Found one abandoned in a nearby park this morning. Looks in fine shape still. Show some evidence it belongs to you and I'll tell you where it's at.
Reasonable and good fencing contractors.
To the POS that stole my car. YOU CAN ROT!
Happy thanksgiving everyone!
——— update —— It’s been found but totaled. Front end damage. To the POS that stole my car, I hope you have lifelong pain!
Did anyone else hear this noise around 3:30 to 4 AM this morning? It was near the Courthouse (68th Ave W). There was a consistent, very loud humming sound, followed by very loud bangs, over and over. I looked out the window and there was some kind of machine (vehicle?) across the street from the courthouse, in front of the car place. There was weird orange/yellow light coming from it. It went on for about a half hour. Any ideas what it was? I wear earplugs to sleep and the noise was loud enough to wake me up!
What are some dog trainers you have worked with around the area?
Hi all, husband and I are moving to the area from out of state, and are looking for gym recommendations. We are looking for a place that has equipment for squats, bench press and deadlifts, and accessories like a cable machine and leg press. If possible, we are looking for a local gym and not places like LA fitness. We are also open to an athletic club (Olympic athletic club looks pretty good online, but is too far away to drive to daily)
Please drop your recommendations, thank you!
In case anyone is wondering why they don’t have power, by Marshall’s someone crashed into a pole or the pole fell on a truck, truck was completely totaled and the pole tore down all the power lines.
Hi everyone, I’ve been working on building my crochet skills this past year and was wondering if there was already a fun group of ladies that gets together to craft or if anyone here wanted to start crafting with me?
Three booms at 4:21-4:22 manor way and 156th
Recently moved here from out of state and having a tough time meeting people. Is there a gym around here young professionals mainly go to? There’s a bunch of LA fitnesses in the area and 24Hr Fitnesses which is cool!
Hello! I am looking for a nice restaurant that accepts large parties (23 people) on a Friday evening. Any suggestions?
Edit: thank you all for the suggestions, really appreciate them! We're gonna go with Spaghetti Factory!
I wanted to remind everyone of the amazing resource we have right in our city. If you haven't been to the library in awhile or don't have a library card, go soon! Any subject that interests you can be found here.
Last night I went to the Alderwood Mall AMC and the kid behind me coughed the entire movie. The mom seemed careless about it even when the kid was completely laying down on her.
Today I woke up sick.
It is sad the we seemed to learn nothing from Covid.
Saw a fight break out between two guys in the target parking lot then saw a bunch of cop cars. Anyone know what happened?
Most places I see seem to just have pieces of gyro meat already prepared. I'm looking for one of those traditional roasting spit places where they shave the meat on the stop for gyros.
Anyone know of any locations that do this?
Most of the pictures I see online don't seem to show a spit ever so I'm guessing it's just the strips of meat they use.
Hello everyone coming to visit for my son Hockey tournament we are from socal area.
Anything cool or just must to do in Lynnwood? It's our first time in Washington super excited.
My son has a 1991 Buick Lesabre that we bought because it had 30 years of maintenance records and obscenely low miles. It has drained three batteries in the couple months he's had it. What's the best way to deal with this since we don't have the money or time or knowhow to fix it? I'd like to get some money back for it with as little hassle as possible. I live near Martha Lake so something close would be a plus

I used to go to alderwood family dentist and really enjoyed it but it seems like they have gone through multiple dentists in the last year and a bunch of hygienists. I have some work that is needed to be done and I want to go to a dentist that is well established and reputable. Does anyone have any recommendations in the Lynnwood area?
I have 20 to 30 unused expired epipens that I'd like to dispose of responsibly. I tried local pharmacies, police station, city of lynnwood, my doctor and no one accepts them and, even worse, nobody seems to know who to reach out to. I found a single pharmacy in Edmonds that would take them after charging $50 for the sharps container and processing fee. Do you know of any place that takes them?
