Ever since chatgpt has come out my father would always nag me and my brother about how cool it is, and that we should start using it as well. He would constantly talk about how helpful it was to him and his work as a software developer. So reluctantly, I did. I started using it once every month, then it turned into every week. A freshman in college now, and I use chatgpt multiple times a day. I haven't written a single paper since I started college without using it and I want to stop, especially because of how strict loyola seems to be with AI use. It causes me anxiety every time I turn in a paper. I haven't gotten caught yet, which leads me to believe that the professors don't actually care as much as they say they do. Either way, I want to stop using it for my future as I want to be a child psychologist, and am genuinely scared that if technology like this stays around, and only advances, I will never learn how to write on my own.
If someone lost their phone around Doyle center 3rd floor bathroom plz connect with Touri .
I will be going to Loyola for the 2025 fall term for the Forensic Science program, and would like some insight from those who attended the program.
Anything helps! Thank you!
Picking out my classes for the spring semester and she is the only crim 101 teacher that fits my schedule. However she doesn't have any reviews on RMP. I was just wondering how she was as a professor and how her class was.
while looking for classes, I looked this teacher on rate my professor but she didn't show up, has anyone taken her and if so, what did you think of the class.
Has anyone taken professor Emma Houser for ACCT 201 at Loyola so far for the first semester of the 2024-25 school year?
I tried looking her up on rate my professor, but there is no information or reviews that come up online.
Any info on her would be greatly appreciated as I currently am enrolled in her class for the spring semester, but want to know if I should switch or swap with a different teacher instead.
Thank you!!

Is the global studies major hard to get into or packed with people? Anybody know, and if your in it, is it good?
has anyone studied abroad independently? i’m currently trying to go through the process of applying for a program that isn’t partnered with loyola for the summer (because it’s cheaper than doing a summer term here and matches what i want in a program) and i have been jumping hoops and hitting walls with all this redirecting and non-answer answers. it’s like the study abroad office and advising office is punishing me for not wanting to do a loyola program.
I’m starting as a Grad student in the spring and am scouting apartments near the lakeshore campus. Which one’s would you recommend?
I am also taking classes as the water tower campus and am not trying to take a long trek (more than 10-15 min walk) to the red line or shuttle stop in the cold lol.
I’m currently eyeing Sheridan Lake, but it seems to have mixed reviews. What is it looking like now?
Any help is appreciated!
Hello I am taking a ethics class in the spring and was wondering if Rhea Ienni was a good/friendly teacher? I tried looking her up on rate my professor but she isn't on there and was wondering if anyone took her class and what they thought about it
So I’m taking Math and I’m a senior this year and kinda kicking myself for waiting to take math so late into college because now i need to pass this class to graduate. I currently have a solid B in the class and my final is 25% of the grade. Honestly math is not my thing and I’ve had to study my ass off this semester to be where I am rn. Idc if i get a C- as long as I pass the class. I am planning on talking to my professor during his office hours tomorrow morning but not sure if I should tell him I need this class to graduate or if that won’t matter for professors. How did yall study for math? Is the common final exam harder than your in class exams in your experience? Any advice would help.
Hi,
I have a 1-bed, 1-bath apartment I am looking to sublease from January to July. It is a few steps from campus and between Aldi and wholefoods. if you are interested, please dm me.
I am taking Ronald Greenburg for COMP 264 (Intro to Computer Systems) and I was curious what language he teaches the class in.
I have a question for those who have already taken biochemistry, how did you guys study for it? I keep hearing that if you have May you are not ready for it so how do I prepare for it? What should I study? Is it mostly short answer, multiple choice? Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated. :)
im interested in loyola and i wanted to know what’s it like for a student majoring in computer science, im inspiring to be a SWE.
what are your professors or teachers like? the assignments? clubs? environment? projects? what’s the general atmosphere or vibe of a loyola student studying computer science?

Hey everyone! Has anyone received their refund check yet? I wasn't sure when they're supposed to come in but was just wondering! Thanks
I am alternative, go to an arts school, and am a pretty out of the box person. I just want to know what Loyola's weirdo population looks like. Are there a lot of lgbtq people? Are there a lot of artists? Are there a lot of nerds? Are there a lot of alternative people? Are these communities hard to find? I can't find a straight answer because there are no weirdo statistics. Someone please help!!!
Hello,
I got accepted into Loyola as a transfer and have a 2.9 gpa, due to how my first semster last year got to much and I failed a class. The same happened now, where im on the verge of either keeping my gpa a 2.9 or a 2.5 and was wondering if I do unfortuantly due to a class get a 2.5 gpa , will Loyola kick me out? or will i be on probation/fine? I am willing to do anything there to recover if they allow me so please let me know
I’m a sophomore here at Loyola. I transferred this fall from a community college. First time moving out & I’m 3000 miles away from my family and entire support system. I’ve tried joining clubs but nothing sticks and it honestly has nothing to do with me. I’m bubbly and quite social. I desperately crave that young college experience. Everyone is a commuter. And the ones that aren’t are freshman’s. Also, I’ve never experienced people my age ( 21 F ) having to have to ask their parents for every little thing. None of my friends can hang out , or do anything spontaneous. My roomate is absolutely lovely but our schedules are completely opposite. Idk, I have genuinely never been this lonely in my entire life in one of the most beautiful cities. The people here are kind don’t get me wrong but gosh this feeling of emptiness never fades. I have no family here. Like for some reason, everyone here has absolutely no life outside of academia. And it’s not even that I want a party school. I just wish I had that friend or friends where we go to eachother apartments during finals and study & do all nighters. Or even just grab bites after school. Everyone has 17+ helicopter parents. I never In a million years would’ve thought my college experience would be so isolating.
I take 16 credits as well but I absolutely could have a social life. It’s quite literally one or the other here.
hi! i am a senior in highschool who got admitted into loyola, and im wondering how mass usually works at the lake campus! do people attend frequently? thank youu
Hi!
I’m interested in applying to grad school and was wondering if anyone has pursued a PhD in Research Methodology. Im interested in the program at Loyola University in Chicago. I’m curious on if people thought this degree was helpful in becoming a data analyst or research scientist.
I have about 70 meals left. Can I know if it will carry to the spring semester? If it doesn’t can I get some of my money back?
Hi, yesterday I lost my Loyola ID on the CTA 147 at about 10:30am at Michigan & Monroe, it's probably lost to the ether but this is kind of a hail mary bc I'm desperate. I don't expect anyone to find anything but if they do please tell me, thank you.
I know its a dumb question but i genuially forgot how you would apply for scholorships and where to go to apply to be exact,

Are we supposed to write 6 discussion boards total, or is it 5+D23?
