A place for organising reddit meetups and social events in London. From our legendary pub crawls, to midweek meetups. Or anything else you can think of.
This is not for promoters or advertisers. It's for events that you are attending. For gigs, pre-drinks at a nearby pub is good. Check any of the other posts, mobile numbers are the best way to find someone.
Newcomers are always welcome. No exceptions. No need to post an introduction, just reply to the thread to say hi, and turn up! Although we do have the rule you need to be 18+, even for non-drinking events.
Guidelines:
1: Post the subject line IN THE FOLLOWING FORMAT:
[DD/MM/YY] Event @ Location
2: Provide as many details as possible, with links to relevant websites in the self-post. Mods may remove vague or unclear posts.
3: You must be going to events you post.
4: Provide your contact details to help others find you as early as possible. On the day at the latest.
5: Give plenty of notice - anything less than a few days is usually a bad idea.
6: Don't post links to WhatsApp Groups (or other chat groups) in the Sub - there are bots that trawl the internet for WhatsApp groups and spam them

Hey all, I’m going to this Medieval Woman exhibition at the British Library. I’ve been going to lots of exhibitions lately, and this is something that, like, no one I know is kind of interested in, but if anyone is keen or would be down to maybe go for drinks after or do something after, let me know!
Hi, I'm going to the british museum tomorrow for the first time. It's free entry but best to have a precooked (free) online ticket. Haven't done that yet so the time is flexible, will just get a ticket tomorrow. Is anyone into museums/art galleries(or ancient Rome etc I understand there's an exhibit on that) who would like to come along? Could meet in front of the museum or at a nearby Cafe :)
Hi there, I'm an Aussie and arrived to London today (22M) and looking to see if some people were keen to join me for some techno???
Event - https://ra.co/events/2024192
Thinking of getting in at maybe 11, but down to meet up at a pub beforehand, not sure where tho
I have never attended a concert alone and thought of asking if anyone else is going for the same ? It starts at 7:30 pm and ends at 10 pm, so if anyone else is going for it, it would be nice to meet up before the concert !
Tickets from 25£ onwards is still available (I checked few minutes back)
Open to meeting up before the concert and hoping to meet some fans of orchestra music !
Anyone up for comedy club and drinks tonight? Was looking at Top Secret Comedy Club (SoHo)?

If you are looking for something to do this Friday night, come join us for some drinks and a chat at the College Arms, an LSC Friday favourite situated near Tottenham Court Road!
The plan is to head to the final 90's/00's night at Scala for some festive clubbing after 11pm if that takes your fancy. Club remixes of All I Want for Christmas, Stay Another Day, and Last Christmas inbound?
Anyone and everyone is welcome as long as you are 18+ and we are all very friendly. There is absolutely no pressure to drink and they have non-alcoholic options.

Ideally looking for 1 or 2 people as the places I want to go for food/drinks are kinda high-end. Message me for more details. Looking forward to it :)
Hello! Travelling Aussie (M24) with a night maybe to myself in London and I'm wanting to find a way to spend it, and this event seemed kinda fun! Would anyone recommend it? If so, or you're also travelling and might be interested, let me know!

Looking to spend an evening a week chatting with friendly redditors? Hammersmith Hang Out is for you.
So what happens at this meetup?
Each week this meet up is held in a pub - we all sit around a table and generally chat about anything we can think of.. that's pretty much all there is to it! There are usually a few who will get dinner from the Thai restaurant at the pub. We get people aged from 18 to in their 60s, but the majority are 24-40. You can turn up at any time, people usually start leaving between 7 and closing, there are nearly always plenty left at closing time. Currently we are averaging 15-25 people turning up.
Do you talk about reddit and memes all evening?
No! reddit is hardly ever mentioned, there are no laptops in sight and we've had plenty of people who have not used reddit.
Can I come along?
Of course - that is why it is posted on LSC each week, the meet up is very newbie friendly - we have people new to LSC join us regularly. If you're very very shy don't hesitate to message/text/call me ahead of the pub and let me know, I'll do what I can to get you chatting away with everyone as if you've been every week.
What if I don't want alcohol?
No problem! The pub also serves various soft drinks, fruit juices, tea, coffee and water. We have non-drinkers often.
Since after the above people still asked...
I'm ********* is it OK if I come along?
We have had men, women, transgender, British, foreign (even a northerner or two), gay, straight, drinkers, non-drinkers, smokers, non-smokers, religious and non-religious
In fact, the only people who wouldn't be welcome are those under 18 or anyone who is not able to conduct themselves appropriately in an adult social situation.
Location/Time: Latymers, W6 8BS / People often start turning up from 18:00ish. The pub is closing at 21:00 this week, so we may head somewhere else afterwards if they're people up for it.
Pic here to force the preview image
Our tables are reserved, we start on the circular tables close to the entrance and we might spill over onto the table(s) nearby.
The first table will at the front to the right of the door. (also, there will be Reddit on the reserved signs)
This Sunday is the last pub quiz of the year. It's also national short person day. Finally, it is my time!
Come and join us at the Canonbury Tavern for the pub quiz!
What:
Pub Quiz - Exactly as it sounds! A quizmaster asks the questions and teams write down their answers. Questions cover a range of subjects and the quiz features picture and music rounds. It is all for fun and there is no pressure to memorise the encyclopaedia before coming.
Where:
The Canonbury Tavern https://maps.app.goo.gl/xocQRtc3PDJrQF676?g\_st=ic
Our tables are usually immediately on the left as you enter the pub, but you can ask staff for LSC when you arrive - there is usually someone with a laptop who has a record of bookings.
When:
Every Sunday, the pub quiz starts at 19:00, with the picture sheet being given out around 18:40. Tables are booked under "LSC" from 18:30. Three tables are booked but we will try to make any number work. We recommend arriving around 18:30-18:45 as you'll get to take a greater part in answering the picture sheet questions, but it's also really helpful in working out how many teams we'll have - as well as chatting beforehand!
How much:
£2.50 per person payable to the pub quiz people (Cashless only).
Who:
All are welcome. We typically make three teams with around 18 people.
Do I need to sign up / am I too late?:
Ideally, please leave a comment either on this post or in the WhatsApp group to let us know you're coming - with as much notice as possible - so we know how many teams we will be and roughly how many per team. It's not a huge problem to turn up after it starts, but try to be there on time to avoid missing the fun!
Do I need to be a whizz-kid, intellectual genius, or quizzing-extraordinaire?:
Nope, we do the quiz for fun.
Any Questions:
Write them into a comment and we will answer them - we are kind of into that.
We also have a WhatsApp group chat. Ask around on the day in person to be added.

I moved to NW London, but don’t have any friends on this side of town, so looking to rectify that. Just wanting to grab a couple drinks and chat.
I just chose a random place in Camden that should be relatively quiet (I went there a couple times, and there was also a cat), but open to other suggestions. If you’re interested, send me a chat or comment and we can setup a WhatsApp group to iron out the details. Cheers!

I’ve got a spare ticket to a Punjabi/Bollywood party this Saturday as a friend has pulled out last minute. It’s taking place in Whitechapel. I’m thinking of getting there for around 11pm. Anyone wants to join me drop me a message 😊
Hey London - I only managed to secure one ticket for Paul McCartney on Wednesday night, so I am going solo. Anybody else going to be there and fancy meeting up for a drink beforehand? I will probably be there for around 7pm. I am 39m.
Hey Hey... 👋
On Wednesday we are heading to the Science Museum Christmas late. Expect food, drinks and more in the first ever festive late held by the Science Museum. We will be meeting outside the museum at 6.30pm. Book your free entry here: https://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/see-and-do/christmas-lates
Who can join?
We are a welcoming bunch and everyone (over 18) is welcome to join and we have people of all ages and backgrounds coming to these events. We usually have bi-weekly meetups to various museums, galleries, cultural attractions around the city and some late events. PM me if you like to join the culture collective whatsapp group. My name is Dil and my number is 07506474016.
How many people usually turn up?
It depends on how popular the museum is and the weather etc. Usually it's around 6-12 people, and there's always a mix of new people and regulars. We are a very newbie friendly group! Be aware that although the group chat has more than 500 people, that doesn't mean they will all show up!
What usually happens on a cultural group event?
If you get 'lost' or arrive late, then you can message in the group to locate us. We're a welcoming bunch and everyone is here to socialise/make new friends while exploring the best of London's culture. Don't be put off if you don't have much art knowledge, most of us are fairly casual!
Since 2022, we have visited a number of galleries/museums around the city including the National Gallery, V&A, Tate Modern & Britain, Wallace Collection, Maritime, Science Museum, Imperial War, RAF museum, Transport museum, British Museum, Japan House, Royal Academy, Espacio Gallery, Museum of Docklands, Portrait Gallery and Hayward Gallery. Suggestions are always welcome!
See you there!
