Hello! Back in June I started to look for people around Morden to play Board games, since I have so many games and didn't know anyone around my area. Since then I managed to put together a small group of really nice people to play games with.

I've been hosting weekly sessions, sometimes at the weekend sometimes weekday. We have a voting system on Doodle for the dates, they let me know which days they are available (no strict commitment) and interested, and I try to organise it in a balanced and fair way.

I was wondering if anyone would like to Join us, especially if you live close by and are looking for a board games group. I provide my games but everyone is welcome to bring their own.

What is LFG?

LFG (Looking for Group) is our big monthly meet up where we take over we over Secret Weapon (Escape Bar: Stratford), a fantastic gamer bar filled with consoles, board games and great company!

It's an evening of gaming, chatting, playing games, grabbing a great gaming-themed cocktail (or non-alcoholic drink!) and joining in with some of the fun on offer like friendly Smash Brothers or Mario Kart tournaments!

Anyone and everyone is welcome but it is a bar so we would recommend all that attend be 18+

Newcomers are obviously always welcome – if you're new and want someone to say hello to, there will be a greeter at the door, or you can aways look out for an admin or ambassador on the day (you can also ask for Kat, Matt or Curtis!)

We want to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time, so for the time being you will be expected to provide proof of vaccination. For UK residents this is probably your NHS passport. International equivalents or cards will be fine also – please drop us a message if you’re unsure. These checks will stop at 9pm.

It can get quite busy – so we are going to be ticketing this event to help track numbers, and you’ll be offered a wrist band. Green means you’re happy for hugs and handshakes. Yellow means elbow bumps and toe-taps unless you say it’s okay otherwise. You can of course swap during the day if you need or want to.

Even though we’ll be controlling numbers, there is no way that we can guarantee social distancing. With this in mind, it is important for you to be comfortable with this, and if you aren’t just yet – we totally understand and hope to see you soon.
