Anyone know of any bars showing the VP debate tonight?
I am not sure something like this even exists lol but I am looking for a company/person that does custom embroidery.
I remember back in the day malls would have kiosks with embroidery machines…not sure if that’s a bygone service but am looking to have an image embroidered on a piece of clothing for a gift. Lmk if this is the right spot to ask! TIA!!

Thinking of putting an offer in on a place but the school is Goethe and I have a four year old who would go there next year. Is the school as bad as the rating looks online?
Any dispensary with medical discounts? Ascend used to have medical Mondays with 20% off but doesn't anymore
Just for background, they have created bike Lanes on California from the Kennedy Expressway South to at least Fullerton. In addition, they've added a big red Bus Only Street marking just north of Diversey on California. This new arrangement has created complete chaos. Last week I needed to get to the Kennedy Expressway to go out to the western suburbs. It took me 20 minutes to go 0.7 miles from my home to the Kennedy on-ramp coming northbound. The way the traffic is now redirected is horribly chaotic. There should be instrumented left turns at all 4 corners. Between Northbound California trying to get to the expressway in single file, and west bound Diversey traffic turning right to go north on California it's a complete freaking log jam. There's absolutely no reason it should take 20 minutes to go six blocks. Anybody else completely fed up with these latest "improvements"?
Just saw a dog running around by itself, looked like a beagle on kedzie and diversey by JJ peppers.
Does anyone know whether this gym is open yet? Or when they plan to open?
Our bell rang about 630 with two kids trick or treating. We were so confused since it's not even October.
We're guessing they're seeing how much candy they can score. Enterprising.
Any fight against gentrification is a fight in the right direction, but I wish the city was almost more aggressive in protecting the sanctity of the NW side. I like that tenants get the option to buy their building first and that property owners demolishing buildings with up to 4 units must pay between $20,000-$60,000 per building in fees.
I wish that the city would implement stronger rent control measures to cap rent increases for existing tenants in multi-unit buildings. And include mandatory inclusionary zoning to include a higher percentage of affordable units.
What are your thoughts?

I used to live in Logan Square, it has been about 5 years, is Food Smart still the same as it was? I vividly remember walking there almost daily to pickup snacks (wasabi pea crisps and grape leaf) and usually beer and coffee. I heard that the owners have changed and it's not the same? Do they still have a US Post Office? Do they still have the 3 for $10 kombucha? Still have the good beer?
Where is the closest legitimate UPS store? I have heard the one in armitage/California closed and I just stopped at the one at Milwaukee and they said they are at capacity for drop offs and can't take any more packages. I don't understand why we don't have a legitimate UPS store in this area?
Every line is probably 20 min wait plus including the tickets, little organization, the heat is the heat but these vendors don’t seem set up for success. Also pretty weak seeing some vendors literally just cooking the type of frozen dumplings you can get at joong boo
I am in the hunt for the best hush puppies in the area! Please start listing off the places you love to go!
Hi all, I am a 26 yo male I just moved to Logan Square about a month ago! This is my first time ever living in a major city and I was just looking for tips on how to make friends? Is it just the typical going to bars and meeting people that way? If you guys have any suggestions or tips for places to go, clubs to join, good ways to meet people, or even if you want to be reddit pals please let me know!
Thank you in advance!
For the past few months there has been a woman on Diversey and Kimball by DD. She’s always on the phone yelling about FBI/CIA etc. she doesn’t appear to be homeless as she has new clothes everyday.. anybody have any info on her? To be clear she hasn’t caused any harm and from what I see she might be suffering from some mental health issues.
I just moved to the area, I live right on Spaulding next to the train station. I’m having trouble finding the best grocery store I can walk to that just has basic decent quality groceries, produce, dairy, meat.. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Like the title suggests, looking for bars in the area where people can comfortably chill and read a book, bonus points for outdoor seating :)
