Using the app this week I placed an order and set pickup type to Drive Thru like I always do, thinking that I could go get groceries and whatever else I needed for as long as I needed, and swing by my local Bell on the way home, since my order wouldn't start being made until I checked in at the speaker. You know, exactly how it's worked for... the entire time I've used this pickup method. But as soon as I clicked the "Place Order" button, a readout on the next page said my order would be ready in ~10 minutes' time. I did a double take and made sure I used the right pickup type which I had, groaned, and went straight to the restaurant instead of running errands first like I planned. Sure enough by the time I got to the window they had my bag ready and waiting which never used to be the case. Go straight home and the food was not as hot as I'm used to it being, so it for sure had been sitting for a minute.
Now before everyone comments that I should be using the Grab and Go method— I used to exclusively use that. I would set a pickup time for, say, 9:30, but get to the restaurant at my discretion and simply tap the button in the app saying I was there now and wanted the order sooner. But earlier this year I got burned by that method, probably because of an app error, where even if I set a time hours in advance, the food still got made as soon as I placed the order. I've had food sitting for literally 3-4 hours before (luckily the employees remade it for me). But ever since then I switched to Drive Through as there was no chance that mistake could happen, because the food didn't start getting made until you said your name at the speaker... until this most recent change. /sigh
If you want real fans and people who give money to tb, do more to combat bots. It feels impossible as a human being on a phone to click the link (by the way it was 4 and took 7 seconds to be clickable) and by the time you click submit it's closed.
It's rigged and you shouldn't even offer it to begin with unless it's combatted by captchas that a human has to solve.
I've gotten several emails in the past month from bellbuzz@email.tacobell.com (so I think it is really from Taco Bell) offering 100 extra points:
"Enjoy 100 extra points when you order a select standard combo or box within the next 7 days."
I got my last one 3 days ago. But I don't see anything in my TB app as a reward or challenge. Same as previous times.
However... a while ago (>1 year) I did act on it & didn't get any extra points. And I felt like I had no recourse because TB support through the app takes actual months the last time I had to contact them. So I didn't not pursue it.
So... does anyone here know if lately (past 6 months or so) that they got the email offer, had no app or reward challenge, made the purchase, & did or did not get the extra points?
Before I'm told "just order & see", I will if I get no responses. But if anyone knows for certain one way or the other, that helps me.
Thanks.
When I was younger my parents took me to a Taco Bell. I believe it was near Wildwood New Jersey but it was almost 30 years now. They had a man that worked there and he wore costumes and would run around the restaurant dressed as a moose. He would run out, then come back in with a sombrero and poncho holding a finger gun up asking if anyone saw the moose. Now again this was probably the early to mid 90s so things are a bit fuzzy but has anyone else encountered this particular Taco Bell in their travels? If so, does that man still work there?
Oh how I miss you...
Dollar General usually has them but I don't seem to see any on their current Black Friday ad. Has anyone spotted any Black Friday deals for Taco Bell gift cards this year?
…hopefully the $2.99 ones are just as good.
I’m in California so those would be the prices I’m working with.
Update: I got the Gordita cravings box with a cheesy bean and rice burrito adding chicken, sour cream, onions and grilled
Hello all, are there any employees out there with knowledge of if taco bell flatbreads are sold in stores? Im trying to figure out the brand of bread so i can make them at home. Thanks in advance
This is the second time this week that it's disappeared from the menu and hasn't let me order my daily fries
Saw them in the app while making my grocery list but they weren't in stock. Anyone try em yet?
I was in Liverpool for work, right before the place opened I got a call from the managing director and had to do some frantic work at the closest place with wifi. I made it but I’m sure I would have been in the first 10 otherwise.
So at least 2 stores by me in SE Michigan have quietly brought back the chili cheese burrito. No announcement, not under the decades menu, it just magically appeared in the burrito offerings. Downside is it's freaking $3.99 so I won't be ordering it often but it's a nice surprise!
Edit-$3.39 at a nearby store which is better but still about a dollar too much imo

Drops are just a sweepstakes. Only two $1 deals in October, and based on the lack of food pictures in the upcoming drops, only one this month. Everything else goes to some random click in the first eleven seconds after 2pm Pacific.
I used to look forward to Tuesday Drops, now I'm so uniformly disappointed it's barely worth paying attention.
