Looking for people to trial our business

Have you ever wanted to have a painting of your partner, a family portrait, your dog or whatever your favorite photo is? I always loved the idea of painting but unfortunately I'm not the best at it. A few months ago though a friend and I came up with a cool idea, what if you could turn any photo you want into a paint by numbers. That way anyone can paint, anything they want.

We looked up custom paint by numbers and found a few Etsy stores selling them but they were way overpriced and most of them didn't even come with the canvas on a frame. So we looked around and talked to a bunch of suppliers, eventually we managed to produce custom paint by number kits cheaper then anywhere else and already framed (you can still order them without a frame but we found most people want them ready to go out of the box).

Long story short though we're trying to grow and get more people talking about us. So we decided it would be a good idea to reach out to some local subreddits and hopefully you'll enjoy them enough to share your experience :)

You can use the code "COSTPRICEREDDIT" to get our kits for cost price (our margins are pretty slim right now we want to be as affordable as possible). You can get up to 4 kits at that price so feel free to buy a few and plan a date night, family activity or just get your Christmas shopping done early.

Interior thru-streets in Littleton proper

I’m trying to learn more about the thru-streets in Littleton proper (80120), specifically how busy they get at rush hour, and how comfortable you feel walking and biking on them.

Example streets are: W Caley Ave, S Gallup Street, S Elati, W Peakview, S Windermere, W Ridge Road

Are there particular streets that see the highest traffic volumes? Looks like sidewalks are very narrow along these roads - if you want to go for a walk do you avoid these roads or feel OK walking along them?

We’re looking to move to this area and love that so much is walkable on paper, but aren’t sure if it’s a pleasant experience to say, stroll from the corner of Gallup and Caley up to Sterne Park, Ketring Park, or W Littleton Blvd.

Deer Creek vs Ken Caryl?

Any idea which one of these is the “better” school? We recently moved off Kipling and Ken Caryl. Our daughter attends St John’s this year but exploring options for 6th grade.

With the D Line switching back to the normal route, how long will a commute to Union Station take?

Now that the D Line is no longer going to be direct to Union Station, how long will the downtown Littleton to Union Station commute be with a train switch? (assuming the slow downs will also hopefully end here soon)

Moving to Denver

Hey everyone! I am graduating college and moving from Florida to Denver in December. Specifically Columbine/ Ken Caryl area. Can you tell me a little more about those areas? I am a 20M and not into the city/ party life. I like to be outdoors and would love to get into hiking. Are those areas safe? What else can you tell me about them? I am also looking for a 1bed 1bath or studio apartment. Has to have a W/D in unit. My budget is $1500. I have found some places but would like more recommendations. Thank you in advance!

I feel like my area of Littleton has seen a ton of crime and death recently...

A few weeks ago a drunk driver plowed into some townhomes near me. Today I found out a woman living in those same townhomes was found dead in Boulder and there was a shelter-in-place warning sent out while the cops tried to apprehend the people who had been squatting in her residence.

Last Saturday my husband went to pick up my daugher from dance and saw EMTs giving CPR to a crashed motorcyclist on Wadsworth. On his way back with my daughter they both saw the body covered with a white sheet. Later that day just a few hundred feet up the road at the intersection of Wadsworth and Ken Caryl my husband and I saw the fresh aftermath of a horrible car accident!

Today my daugher and I were driving to Kohls when she noticed a parked car that got absolutely smashed. Then, literally in the Kohls parking lot, we saw a dude get arrested next to a scratched up truck (that had been parked half on the median?!) I'm not even sure if the smashed car was related to the arrest but I hope so for the sake of the vehicle owner. Another parked car was hit down the street a few months ago!

Stay vigilant and invest in dash cams everyone!

I inherited a condo in Littleton, and I'm not sure what's best to do.

I recently inherited a condo in a nicer part of Littleton from family. The place has 2 master bedrooms and a 2 car garage. It's not paid off fully. Most Reddit advice posts are "I inherited a fully paid off house" but that's not the case here. I'd have a mortgage. It's just too expensive for me to take on as my own comfortably. I could pay for it on my own, but I'd have to live on rice on beans. Is it really worth that much sacrifice to own property? I'm barely in my 20s. I'm not sure I'd live here my entire life, I wanted to move to another state in a few years too. I think it's too early to own a property.

I've thought about getting a roommate to split the costs with. Very reasonable as I could rent out the other master bedroom and a garage space for $1500. But I don't have any partner, family members or friends to ask to move in. Everyone has their own family. I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable with a stranger, I think I'd be pretty nitpicky (no couples, no kids, no pets, no overnight guests, clean, non-smoker, works full time during the day, etc.)

I've also thought about renting the entire place out to others and renting somewhere less. I don't think I'm knowledgeable enough about the renting sphere, and I've read renting horror stories. I don't think this is a great option because I figure if I don't have the money to easy repair the rented property, then I shouldn't have a rentable property. Airbnb'ing the place out isn't feasible for this same reason.

I've decided that I think the best option would be to sell the place and rent somewhere else for cheaper. I could pay off all my debts that I've got, go on a vacation, invest in my retirement/savings, etc with the money from the house. I like this option as I could rent closer to my employment in Golden.

What do you think you'd do?

Condo utility closet heater

Just moved into a condo here in Littleton and the furnace and water heater are in a closet out on the porch. There is a little baseboard heater that is on all the time. Can I turn it off till December? Do people typically let them run 24/7? Or does the utility closet usually stay warm enough without it unless we have a deep freeze?
