Make and share a mixtape with your fellow redditors, with weekly mixtape challenges

This sub is for people who like to give new music to people as much as they like to receive it. So all you have to do is create a YouTube playlist of 30-50 minutes (so it can ask be listened to all at once) and then upload the link to the playlist here. Simple!

Here's one I made earlier: F#ckabout: an indie rock mixtape

What else do I do when I'm uploading my mixtape?

Include

  • A description of the mixtape

  • A track listing

  • The tag [MIXTAPE] if you're just uploading a tape out of the contest, and [CHALLENGE] if you're submitting it to the challenge (coming soon)

Listening suggestion

  • If possible, listen to the tracks in the order they're compiled so that the experience is album-like.

What's planned for the sub?

  • Fortnightly challenges to create a mixtape based on a prompt, be it image, song, phrase, movie etc.

  • When we have enough mixtapes, a wiki sorting them into genre/theme
