I try to avoid them, I've heard bits in tiktoks and reels but i always scroll fast. I can wait one more day
They really cooked with the new album, no skips for me. From zero is one of the best Lp's album to date imho, (second place for me after the meteora).
Dear Chester,
I hope you're smiling down on us, shining as brightly as ever. I just wanted to share how Emily and the rest of the band are honoring your legacy with such heart and devotion. As From Zero and its singles are released, Emily's presence brings us closer to feeling your spirit on stage. Her energy lights up the band, and seeing Mike smile again because of her presence is something truly special.
You should know that we still love you, miss you deeply, and that your friends are carrying on your legacy with pride, bringing music to life that resonates with all you've left behind. Emily herself has spoken about wanting to make you proud, and we believe she is.
I hope you’re proud of us too, as your fans.
We’ll keep missing you, Chester, and we’ll keep carrying you in our hearts.

This is some vintage LP sound. Fantastic stuff. Instead of comparing 2 individuals, it's best to admire their talent. Emilys talent is fantastic. Chazzy must be so proud of Mike and the guys. Plus this also does good to rock and nu metal music industry too. Hopefully the mainstream music media will give more spotlight to this instead of just pop music. Time to tell the world rock and nu metal is far from dead! 🤘🏻

Please delete the post if it's a shitpost, but what's the deal with the animation on the official Linkin Park website? It wasn't there a few days ago. I'm just curious and maybe someone knows more :)
2 Faced is so dope! I would be pretty gutted if I went to one of their recent concerts and didn't get to see them play it live (assuming that havent played it live yet).
Thought most bands would start the tour AFTER the album release.
For example:
Two Faced sounds like a song that could’ve been on Hybrid Theory.
Heavy Is the Crown is a song that could’ve been on Meteora.
Over Each Other sounds like a song that could’ve been on One More Light.
With The Emptiness Machine being the only anomaly.
If that’s the idea behind this album, then “From Zero” is definitely a fitting name.
Hi!
I've pre-ordered the new album on vinyl and I already didn't get any info about shipping. Has anyone from Hungary got the vinyl?
Just doing some research and was curious how much meets and greets cost including the ticket as well?
The breakdowns, linkin park have never done that, especially like that. The ending in IGYEIH is probably my favorite part on the album, kind of reminds me of Slipknot. Absolutely brilliant
I purchased the digital extended version of From Zero, but I still haven't received the download link for the files. Anyone else in this situation?
Trigger for comments about suicide
No idea how this works posting here, but here goes;
I vividly remember in 2002, with my first paycheck from my job in High School, buying Hybrid Theory at Walmart (with a check!). I listened to it with my Mother in the living room and there was a rare symbiosis between us and music that evening. Over the years I only kept up with the band through the big singles. It was all I ever needed. An omnipresent voice for all of us.
In 2012 I moved into a new place and had a good new job and bought Living Things. It wound up becoming my favorite LP record. I had begun to unravel the traumas I went through growing up and all the way through. It got me through that Summer and helped me realize so much truth about my past and present. It always regardless of it where it is considered among the rest of their catalog, the most special album to me.
The next few years I dove further back into everything I missed post Meteora. Shadow of the Day, Burning in the Skies, Waiting for the End, and Final Masquerade became the tracks that defined a lot of those years for me.
After moving back from Seattle to Missouri in 2017, I went through a very difficult Summer. I was hospitalized three times, two for nearly successful suicide attempts. The hour I was being released from the Psych Ward after the second attempt, after getting my belongings, I turned on my phone and the news was breaking about Chester. I knew right then I was going to try again. It felt not even like I had just lost something, it felt like we had all lost something so precious that it meant things had just changed, forever. Within a week I had an extremely close call on the final attempt, And was re-hospitalized for the final time.
About me briefly, I'm on the Autism Spectrum, diagnosed with PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, Bi-Polar Depression. I have CRPS (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome) of my right leg, ankle and foot from a severe injury and subsequent surgeries. In 2021 I nearly died after suffering a Widowmaker Heart Attack and Stroke at 35. I was in Heart Failure after those events due to the damage caused and have been fighting for every square millimeter of improvement ever since. And I have improved quite dramatically. But there's been at least six family members on either side that have died from heart attacks, strokes, etc. I'll always keep fighting, but I know the score. Every day became a gift and I'm sorry to say I still keep finding ways to throw those gifts into the river.
Fast forward to tonight with the release of the new single, on the eve of the new album. I don't want to sound selfish and say I'm grateful that LP came back and entered mine and all our hearts again. I'm not them, I don't know them. I'm just happy.
I commented on Facebook about One More Light in 2017 saying something to the effect that the album wasn't for me. Nearly every day since that comment I have felt regret like somehow that was what sent Chester over the edge, because in my mind everything was my fault as a child and somehow the world revolved around my social media comment.
Then came a few months ago.
Out of nowhere and when Emily hit the chorus in The Emptiness Machine, I felt something again. I felt life. I cried. A rush of everything. I'm just happy. Something was given back to me that I took for granted. Something in this world that was taken away, for once, was given back. And with it brought at least forgiveness for that comment. A little peace in my world.
One More Light that was turned back on in the dark
I’m glad LP is back and there is some really cool tracks. But I feel like this album starts and just abruptly ends. I feel like part of this is it’s just too short. I think 5 more songs coulda fleshed the album out more. Give it more organization between the “loud” and “soft” songs. What do you guys think?
When that guy from Fort Minor, the vocalist from Dead By Sunrise, the guy from The Snax and 3 others do collaboration together, their music is pretty radical. But for years and years this supergroup has had one or two, maybe even three projects that included several guests.
We have had Daron from System, Helmet guy, Kiiara. Mike has done several collabs with a wast collection of artists.
But what collaboration have YOU always wanted?
Personally, i'd love LP doing stuff with bands like Manchester Orchestra and Metric (Mike did a remix of Golden Gun Girls on the Download for Haiti album for Metric! Pretty cool)
I also always wanted a Mike and Timberlake collab, for no real reason at all except for that the idea just sounds hillarious
Don't call it recency bias, call it controversial, call it hype and call it jumping the gun, but I can comfortably say, based on the songs released so far:
So, I think it's safe to say that this was the last single off From Zero before the album comes out. Given what most of us have heard so far, what is your favorite single? Here are my rankings:
For the record, I like all of these songs, but this is just how I would rank them. What's your ranking?
When Hybrid Theory dropped, I just graduated high school. Meteora followed when I was in my sophomore year of college. I became a dad when Minutes to Midnight hit stores. Upon the release of A Thousand Suns, I was courting the woman who would become my second-ever girlfriend. Living Things and The Hunting Party defined the entrance into my thirties. I entered middle age during the One More Light era.
And here we are with about a day until the public can get their hands on From Zero. The band's latest comes just as I attempt to cope with kidney disease and heart failure, and each track pumps me up when I go for my laps as part of my recovery. Simply put, Mike, Chester (RIP), Brad, Rob, Phoenix, Joe, and now, Emily and Collin have been there for me for much of my adult life. I'm proud to claim them as one of my favorite music artists ever.
