Hi all,
I've installed Lineage os on my motorola one fusion+ but I'm not sure of what is happening. Because my 4g is not working with my simcard. I've used my wife simcar to test and it works normally, so I got a new simcard for me and the problem is still happening.
Hey y’all, I just installed lineage on my Clock from Xiaomi and I’m just wondering what this feature means?;
Thanks in advance!
my device is redmi 9 lancelot, it has 3gb ram and i'm using the build lineage-20.0-20241123.
so i installed the ROM yesterday, i love it and my phone runs 100% faster! only problem is i can't really listen to music bc the OS kills the music players less than a minute after closing the main app. the notification widget disappears from the status bar and then reappears after a min, i guess it's expected for an background app to be killed and then reopened silently but in this case it pauses the music, so it's not very usable. i've noticed the music players get almost instantly killed when opening firefox, but this doesn't seem to happen when i open a song and then just turn the screen off (haven't done a 100% exhaustive testing on this though)
battery use is completely unrestricted on the apps with the problem. i've been trying to use metro player (for offline music) and innertune (for yt music streaming). these are accompanied by pano scrobbler (app for tracking music), in case that matters
might it be a ram issue? maybe this phone just has a low amount of ram for lineage. but it's still weird bc i was using miui 12.5 before and this never happened, the phone was incredibly laggy but music players running on background were never killed like this. now with lineage 20 the phone runs faster but apps get killed 🤔 any help? and thank you in advance
When do we expect to have LineageOS 22 (Android 15) officially released?
I'm currently using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 running Pixel OS based on Android 15 and I can't help but notice that everytime I enable wifi or 4g, my phone gets extremely sluggish and slow (sometimes even unusable and freezing) for a temporary time, after that it works like normal. What is happening when the internet is enabled? I thought it was because it was syncing, but it's not like it stops syncing after a while... So I need answers
It happens with all ROMs, including LineageOS and stock ROM (MIUI).
Hello , I'm on a fork of lineage os tv 21 on raspberry pi 4 but the boot stop in the loop on the boot logo Help me please
what command should i run for flashing lineage os in oneplus 11 .....should i use adb -d sideload filename.zip or adb sideload filename.zip
I have a Samsung galaxy tab S6 lite from 2020, I've customized it a lot and slapped Niagara launcher on it, but still kept it pretty clean. Even removed a lot of bloat using UAD. But the tablet still feels slightly sluggish. It isn't hampering my use of it significantly, but it still feels unsatisfying to use. I don't really have any data that I can't backup and move to the custom ROM later. So I just wanted to ask if lineage will improve the performance on the tab, if S-pen will work, if all (or atleast most) of my android apps will work. It'd be great to know if Samsung Internet works on it or not.
I'm a total newbie but I want to install lineage os on my Oppo K10 4g. Any other custom ROM would also be accepted. Just to improve my device an get a stock android like feel
Whenever I try to use 4k 60fps Recording or 1080p 60fps recording, the recording goes actually 25fps 1080p while 4k 30fps goes more smoother but 30fps. My device supports 60fps recording but I don't wanna move to it as Lineage feels better. So the issue is with ROM or Gcam?
POCO F1 supports and can handle 4k 60fps Camera Recording.
I tried downloading and running Rome: Total War on my Switch OLED tablet running LineageOS 21, but the game crashes immediately. What's strange is that I also tried Medieval: Total War and Empire: Total War, and both ran without any issues. Has anyone else encountered this, or know of a fix?
For what firewall? Searching settings for firewall comes up empty. The same searching preinstalled apps.
Did there use to be a firewall? Or maybe one is intended to come?
Running v21 on Pixel 3XL.
Thanks
After updating LineageOS via the systems updater (no adb or anything on the command line).
I went back and check. But saw this "delete" option:
image, what does this delete do? Is it safe to press it?
does anyone have this weird bug where the pop ups of notifications do not appear in landscape mode in lineageos 21 but they do appear in portrait mode just fine?? i am not sure if its a feature like do not disturb.
This is not a cry for "please support my phone".
I try and buy my phones based on the potential of LineageOS support, so they have a life after official manufacturer support.
My current daily runner is a Zenfone 8, it hit EOL some time ago. Today I discovered the unlocking flow is unofficial (whoops).
The Zenfone 8 and 10 have a wicked form factor with an audio jack. I got my partner the ZF10 thinking it will fall into support because the ZF8 is supported. That theory didn't check out.
The Xperia 5 V is the closest one on the market, though pricey.
What is great is I have spotted unofficial builds for the Xperia, so it's promising.
So the purpose of this post is to say: we only have Sony to make small form factor phones with an audio jack.
Otherwise, I think I would happily jump onto a pixel.
Currently using the joycons for Xbox remote play on Android. The ZL and ZR buttons don't seem to respond, is there a known fix somewhere?(Nintendo switch)
So basically, I was trying to revive my old phone - the Lenovo K6 Note (karatep, MSM8937) and started playing around with some custom ROMs but all of them available are based on Android 11. So I wanted to try my best building LOS 19.1.
We have an access to the device/kernel/vendor trees, so it was an easy one to get them and make some required changes for the new lineage to at least build the rom zip without any errors.
However, even tho I've built one successfully, the device does not want to boot at all. It just hangs at the splash screen:
At this point I'm kinda lost, because I don't really know whats going on. I've got TWRP installed, so I tried to fetch some logs but there's no last_kmsg or console-ramoops anywhere on the device. While hanging at the splash screen the device is not avaiable within ADB. I've seen on the Internet there're some hacky ways like creating UART connection, but my manual/soldering skills are kinda limited.
Are there any chances to get to know more? Is it some SELinux error or maybe vendor blobs are not being correctly mapped? Where to start looking for some more info? Maybe there're some usefull config variables that would make my life easier with debugging?
Thank you in advance.
In case someone wanted to take a look at the sources:
I've installed Linage on a new Motorola Edge 30 phone today.
Worked perfectly, but there was one problem not mentioned in the installation wiki.
With newer Moto phones, fastboot throws an error, because the bootloader is locked and will show a signature validation error.
(bootloader) Preflash validation failed
I figured out, that you can unlock the bootloader relative easy by getting an individual unlock code from the Motorola support site.
https://en-gb.support.motorola.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-b
This might be the only way, because there is no way to downgrade the bootloader.
Hello! So I'm considering custom romming my Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo with LOS..
I already know how to install a custom rom and all that.. i've even ported roms for other devices but for some reason I feel nervous to custom rom my S3 Neo as I've never done it before..
Is there any risk?
Hey, I have much interest in rom porting (mainly xiaomi devices like "redmi note 4") but honestly don't know where to start, I mean there are many rom porting toturials but they are quite old the most recent I found was in 2018. They also tell some requirements like same Soc, android version, etc. but i have seen many ports that defy it like "redmi note 4" With android version 7 (last android version from xiaomi) gets hyperos ported with android 14 from "k50u" ,so they all seem kinda hopeless. I have lot of questions but don't know whom to ask so i am asking here:
I'm trying to build LineageOS for my Samsung Galaxy A25 5G (SM-A25B, a25xeea). At the moment, running:

I'm following this guide at the moment, and stuck on stage 10. How do I go about getting the device specific code for my phone?
So ... I can't transfer my chats from stock a13 to lineage with a14, it gives me an error "failed to transfer chats". right now I do not have any screenshot
Is it more secure to use third-party apps for general purpose tasks such as calling or texting, or the original old lineageos apps that come with an outdated rom? Thanks in advance
Hi, its impossible to customize the lock screen with lineage os 21 ? I have installed all of Google services but on settings the lock screen personalization doesn’t not appear… any solution?
Latest build seems to have some issue in SIM services. I cannot use two SIMs at single instance, had to either remove or turn OFF one SIM to use the another & vice versa.
I basically tried it all. Everything is based of google. Text now, text plus, etc. Anyalternativees? Google is literally involved everything. Certain apps can't even use my personal email. It's either google or Facebook. Any suggestions, apps, ideas? Phone is degoogled also.
I have an old OnePlus 6T that I want to rejuvenate. I think LineageOS might be the way to do that. I have a couple of questions before I try, if someone can help:
Thanks very much in advance!
IT DOESNT WORK MAN I NEED HEEEELPPP (btw only pixelexperience android 13 rcovery works and when i tried to install lineage os with it, it installed successfully but when i booted the device, it bootlooped)
I know relocking the bootloader with LineageOS installed can brick a device.
...what if I reset everything back to Samsung OS first? And only then relock the bootloader?
Anyone done that? I'm using a Samsung S6 Lite tablet. Thanks!
In installation step 2 , it says
" Make sure that your model number is one of the following (exact match required!):
SM-T290 "
what does this even mean!!!
I bought a Samsung Galaxy 8.0 model, as the main page told me that this model is supported.
But my model number is SM-X200
The bootloader is also not the same. Is there any way to rollback to the previous bootloader?
It is the same hardware. Will it work?
