I checked the Lineage Os Support devices and I realized that my new phone doesn't fit . Any suggestions?
Can someone help me?
When I make a call or take a call from my phone I have to put it in hands-free mode for the microphone to work. Otherwise, no one can hear what I say
The problem is as follows: I'm trying to install the latest lineageOS 21 upgrade from the zip onto my Poco X3 NFC. I want to reboot into fastboot/recovery using the adb commands, but weirdly enough my device will not show up when I type adb devices
into Windows Terminal. The instructions say you can directly boot into fastboot mode using adb commands, so it should be showing up with the devices command, right? I ran adb -d reboot bootloader
as recommended and it said it didn't recognize any devices.
Known preconditions:
The PC that I'm using to install Lineage 21 with is on the latest version of Windows 10
I have fastboot and ADB installed
I have the USB driver installed
I can, weirdly enough, get fastboot commands to work while in fastboot mode (I even checked with fastboot devices and everything, it recognized it), but I don't have a way to get ADB working at all
The device shows up in device manager normally, no orange warning triangles or anything like that.
I am using a USB 2.0 hub, so I know it's likely not the USB 3.0 port being buggy as the instructions have mentioned is a possibility.
I was able to flash my firmware just fine to ensure I was on the right version prior to attempting the upgrade using fastboot and the volume down + power button combination instead of the command line.
I'm making this post late at night in my timezone, so I may be a tiny bit slow to reply to any inquiries for further details. Thank you for your time in reading this post.
My question is my command prompt is on C:\users. is that the correct path to add apps?
Thanks
Hi,
I currently weighing installing LineageOS on my Walmart 2021 Tv Box and was wondering if LineageOS allowed apps to write to external HDD or SSDs. Something which the stock rom doesn't allow.
What would be the result if one attempts to install the ROM on the unlocked device without having rooted it before?
Mint Mobile has a good deal on the pIxel 9, and I'm thinking about buying it and of course using Lineage OS on it (when it becomes available).
However the phone is listed as "locked." https://www.mintmobile.com/devices/google-pixel-9/6810275/
I'm confused as to what that means exactly. Can I use with Lineage OS, or do I have to wait until the phone is unlocked (60 days) before I can flash LOS?
Thanks
Hi, I allready installed Lineage 20 on Samsung Note 9 (crownlte) and everything works fine.
Is there a safe way to get also root on the phone?
I searched a little bit the web, but only find solutions, which did not work for everybody or are depreciated.
Can anybody help?
Thanks a lot!
Hello, I'm new to running Android on Switch. I'm trying to run the XBOX app for remote play but find the buttons are incorrectly mapped. From what I can see here... https://wiki.switchroot.org/wiki/android/11-r-setup-guide#switch-configuration-app there should be options within the Switch configuration that do exactly what I need, eg: using XBOX layout and enabling L2/R2 however I have only have a few options there regarding performance mode and display. Am I missing something obvious, I've spent a lot of time googling and can't find anything current that seems to work for me. Thanks!
Hi!, i'd like to install los 21 on my gauguin phone (mi10t lite). Currently I have pixelOs installed, with android 14. Los21 guide points to start from android 12 (stock rom) but i find all xiaomi guides to flash stock roms very sketchy. Can't I safely clean install recovery and los without reverting to stock rom? When i was on los20 i cleaned flashed pixelos directly.
I find xiaomi guides sketchy for various reasons, one is that official tools seems cheap and error prone as much or worse as unofficial, and i don't want to flash some extra sketchy stuff on my device. Also all official tools are windows only, I am on linux.
Have both a stock pixel 8 and a lineage pixel 3.
The p8 has a settings page for ad privacy, where you can turn off as topics and such, and delete your advertising id.
Lineage doesn't seem to have this. I have gapps installed... How is the advertising id and ad privacy page handled on non-google built Android systems?
Title basically. Is there any better OS than the stock tablet oneUi or do I just take what I can get here
I've already found that this issue comes from atleast a year already from this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/194s7j4/comment/kidqajh/
The Config app keeps on crashing and i can't found a solution to that.
Is there any solution for this, or besides a LOS 20 backup of the images? Because right now i can't even enable the USB debugging inside LOS, neither enable the wifi/bt dongle
I already reflashed the same eMMC and clean flashed on another eMMC, and it doesn't change the results :(
I'm using the tablet variant of the firmware.

I’m new to all of this, and I have a question. On the LineageOS website, when searching for my phone model (POCO X3 NFC), it states that I need to have the exact model and firmware version listed. However, my device is the M2007J20CG model, and the firmware is 14.0.2.0.SJGTRXM, which doesn’t match any of the ones mentioned.
If I try to install LineageOS, could there be any issues? What solutions are available?

Hello im experiencing 3 times with lineageos without google service which deleted 3 times contact names on whatsapp , why?
And the button of changing refresh speed mode seem not working .
Any help?
Hello. full disclosure, I'm a bit of a noob, not really knowing 100% what I'm doing here. Fed up with bloatware, and my own addictions/unhealthy phone use I have strongly considered trying to dump my smartphone entirely but kinda need a few apps for work / international communication. But I don't want a browser in my pocket and 'disable app' is too simple to reverse.
So. I've tried to follow steps on this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/16otey3/help_with_uninstalling_system_apps/
entering adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 org.lineageos.jelly
but this hasn't done the job.
I also tried downloading a package from https://thrilleratplay.github.io/LOSdiet/ as recommended on this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/6ij5ak/losdiet_generate_flashable_zip_to_remove_system/?rdt=47604
I then launched recovery mode, apply update, apply from ADB, and adb sideload LOS_app_removerXXXX.zip
The transfer appeared successful, but again this has not has the desired effect and the browser remains in place. Am I doing something wrong?
I am pleased with how the LineageOS seems to be performing on my (relatively) ancient Pixel 3... just this one niggle in the way of 100% satisfaction!
Help will be very much appreciated.
i installed lineage os a couple of weeks ago. a few days ago it started to fail: sometimes the camera stopped working and needed to reboot. also wifi didn't work, and i couldnt use the settings app (it says that it keeps stopping). turning off the phone for 30mins solved the network issue mostly. but now i turn on the phone, it stays in this broken state for 2mins aprox and it goes into bootloop. when doing a hard reset, it's like 3 out of 4 times it bootloops again, and the other 1 time it goes into broken state again. what could have happened?
i'm using redmi 9 lancelot. this started with 20241123 build, updating to 20241130 kinda helped, but now it's in the state i explained in the last paragraph. i sideloaded 20241207 through adb/recovery but it didn't have any effect. help appreciated
I tried to install LineageOS on my device. I followed every step, then I rebooted my device. I waited for about 7 minutes, to see the exact same setup experience as every other Samsung device offers (I use a Samsung device). Why LineageOS didn't download?
I do not recommend installing Lineage OS 20, even though it is officially supported.
Pros:
Cons:
I guess it is time to upgrade after 4 years, but it is very disappointing to see this phone being listed in the supported section, while the fingerprint reader is unusable.
If u Know Anything On how to port Lineage Os TO an Mt6580 feel free to help us here https://xdaforums.com/t/building-lineageos-for-a-new-unsupported-device-mediatek.4701189/
'United States v. Google LLC (2020) recently found that Google's Android partner system and therefore the Play Integrity API based on it is illegal.
We're in active contact with the EU Commission about the Play Integrity API and are hopeful they're going to do something about it.'
Self explanatory, is gta4xlwifi supports pen?
And many many thanks for great firmwares!!!
I'm currently thinking about buying a 1-3 year old phone to use LineageOS 22 stable - in a few months. So 2 questions:
Is it possible for me to join some kind of beta testing group for LOS 22? (The infos on Google are remarkably outdated)
If 1. is true, how do I figure out, with which device(s) I would be most helpful?
Phone is Motorola Edge 2020 racer. It had LineageOS 21 lineage-21.0-20241107-nightly-racer-signed. It was working fine.
I updated to the latest build lineage-21.0-20241205-nightly-racer-signed using the software update in settings. After update, LineageOS tries to start but phone keeps falling back to boot. After a few tries, there is a message that phone can't boot. Recovery, fastboot are functional.
Then, I did a manual installation of the same firmware (fastboot latest recovery, copy partitions, update latest firmware using adb and then update gapps with adb). Result is the same, LineageOS 3 white circles circle around for a few seconds and phone reboots.
Then, I tried to go back to the earlier builds, I first got "can't downgrade because SPL is newer" error, but after a few tries, I was able to load the earlier ROMs. However, with earlier builds, phone can't load the LineageOS at all.
I don't want to factory reset the phone so I lose the data. Although, if I can only get the list of the apps installed, that would be sufficient. But, I only have access to recovery and bootloader modes. Phone was not rooted. Is it possible just to get the list of the apps installed? adb function under recovery is limited, pm and package functions are not available. So, I am not able to pull the package list.
When I searched for the bootloop issues on Reddit, many people seems to have bootloop with recent builds. Many of them were motorola owners. In once case, developer updated the firmware to fix the bootloop issue. I am guessing something in the latest build is causing the bootloop.
Would it be possible someone inform the developers to look into it?
Thanks
Hi there! I finally managed to upload LineageOS, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the installation of Google apps. It's throwing an error saying "not enough space."
The phone is working great, even better than on the Xiaomi ROM! Unfortunately, I need Google services, so I downloaded a 367 MB package from the link in the official instructions for installing LineageOS on a Redmi Note 9. Redmi Note 9 Lineageos
Are there any smaller files from Google apps?
I tried to flash LOS on my new phone (following the tutorial on LOS wiki ) and at the end, phone claims that phone is corrupt and is stuck in loading loop.
Summary:
- fastboot still works
- recovery is failing
- flashed LOS was lineage-21.0-20241205-nightly-sunfish-signed.zip
- flashed GApps was https://github.com/MindTheGapps/14.0.0-arm64/releases/latest
Everything looked fine, with all confirmation/error codes like in tutorial…
Just last step to do: Reboot device into first LOS boot– and that's where it failed!
Apparently, I'm not the first with such problem, however while poster claimed it was corrupted GApps, that caused it, he never posted a step by step solution.
I tried to sideload GApps again, but that failed again…
And please:
Do not expect "automatic knowledge and describe solution in simple way as it's 3 years since I was flashing crDroid 6.21 on my current phone Samsung A3(2017) and I forgot a lot about how I did that…
Update:
#1 I managed to unbrick phone using Google's Back-to-Public tool. So I can try again, however I would really like to know, what caused that failure.
my phone have been pretty slow for the last couple of months and I've heard that lineage OS is perfect for this type of phones. so I decided to download lineage OS but there is no built for my phone. I've read in Google that Realme 9 Pro 5G and OnePlus Nord CE 2 lite 5G have same builds or same in terms of builds. so I was wondering if I can download that Realme build in my OnePlus mobile without making it a need to be replaced mobile.
