Hello, on the nvidia shield tv 2017, is the hardware decoding of the h264, avc, etc. codecs still functional?
Ive wanted to try and flash a Lineage OS build on some of my phones in my collection and I wonder how I could get started with flashing in general
I don't know if it's android 14 problem, but a lot of apps started to act strange. Some ask to select a new folder for files cause they can't access Android/data. Did I do something wrong? Please help guys, you're my last chance before I downgrade and remove all of my apps data
When switching to Data Transfer in USB settings phone freezes and then reboots.
Anyone knows the cause and possible solution?
Different usb cables give same results.
Using for a few days Lineage OS 21/ android 14 and I would like when I pulldown the status bar to be in light theme instead of dark. Any hints?
Just installed LineageOS 21.0 on my new Opneplus 6T. I followed the instruction and the install went well. Before loading the phone was up to date with Android 11, data, SMS, and voice was working with Puretalk (ATT reseller) indicated 4gLTE. Voice worked with WiFi off, so my understanding is that this would indicate that VOLTE was working since ATT no longer supports 3g.
After loading LineageOS and entering the APN settings, I do not get cellular connection. No IMS registration. No data, no SMS, no voice.
Is there something else that I need to do to get cellular connection (data, SMS, MMS, voice working)?

In this link I see this: ''Android TV builds still ship with an ad-free Android TV launcher, unlike Google’s ad-enabled launcher - most Android TV Google Apps packages now have options to use the Google ad-enabled launcher or our ad-restricted version.''
Where can I find this ad-free androidtv launcher?
Hello, pals!
I write this post because I am very happy and grateful thanks to you. I already posted in another subreddit about the wonders of LineageOS, but I want to repost it here to show my appretiation.
I'm a user of a Mi Band 6 and a Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G phone (ruby), but before that I had a Xiaomi Pocophone X3 Pro phone (vayu), and before that, a Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite (platina).
On all three phones, I had several problems with MIUI / HyperOS:
All this was solved when I flashed LineageOS custom rom on my Redmi Note. And I know because when I flashed HyperOS, the problems returned. I reflashed LineageOS just yesterday, and I feel so relieved to have things working.
I also remember I had crDroid (based on LineageOS) flashed on a Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite (platina), and those problems were solved too. So I'm pretty sure these are Xiaomi OS-only issues, which you LineageOS developers fixed.
Imagine being an open-source project doing better than a macro-corporation with a worth net of 40 billion USD at making their products work. That's the power of open source. That's the power of LineageOS, LineageOS-based roms and their devs and mantainers.
When I see people complaining in the Play Store about app notifications not working and app developers trying to explain it's not their fault, but Xiaomi's, I feel sorry for both devs and users. I wish more people knew about LineageOS.
You can't imagine how important has been for me (I suffer neurologic disability) to fix those issues. I need notifications and Accesibility service for very basic daily life things.
THANK YOU, LineageOS <3
EDIT: I deleted my off-topic question to keep the thread clean.
As of now, the stock ROM only support StarHub and Singtel users for VoLTE coverage. I am wondering if any SIMBA or M1 users manage to get VoLTE the moment they installed LineageOS?
So is it just me or DND mode sucks sometimes. It works one time then i change some settings and it is still allowing sounds from one specific app. I've checked everything (including Override DND which is turned off) and it some apps still appear in notification pull down shade and make sounds. It is really frustrating cause the coolest thing about it is being able to receive calls only from specific contacts when I'm sleeping, Anyone with same issues? Any solution to this?
I've had my phone (Redmi Note 10 Pro) for close to three years now, first thing I did (as I've been doing with every new Android phone) was download and install a custom ROM from xda-developers. I'd usually get 1-2 days before having to recharge, sometimes my phone would even noticeably heat up, projected battery time was under half a day and I'd have to repeatedly kill Google Play Services (since it wouldn't tell me which process exactly drained that much power, even with the stock ROM) and sometimes even restart the phone just to get rid of the invisible power leech. Now I'm at 71% after almost two days of moderate use (sending messages, reading the news, checking mails). Never missed a call, messages arrive on time, I can even unlock my car with the thing just sitting in my pocket.
No idea what you guys did with the battery management but you just added several YEARS of service to my phone. Never looking at another ROM, compatibility with Lineage is now my major purchasing criterion.
After 2017 I moved from OnePlus 3t to an iphone and after all these years few weeks ago I got a great deal on mi 11 lite 5G and the moment I got it I was like it's lineage os time! Then it hit me gotta wait to get that bootloader unlock, after 14 day's i got it unlocked and the moment 8 got lineage os running I felt like im home. Thank you to all the devs and all the people who supports this os, thank you ❤️, And I got the mi 11 lite in perfect condition only for 90€
Is this something android related or lineage related? I can't activate notifications for an app.
The Pixel Camera app does not appear into search results when looking for it through Aurora Store, I'd like to understand if this is the case just for me or for everyone. I guess the device profile is not fully recognised as a Pixel in current builds.
I am on the lastes build (21-20240419-NIGHTLY-husky) but have been facing this since the first LOS21 build. MicroG Services and Companion are installed as standard apps and fully working.
I am already using custom GCams but I need the official app as a secure fallback when the custom versions have hiccups.
Thanks
I noticed on my Pixel 8 that there are two directories with some kind of binary log files.
/data/vendor/slog/
/data/vendor/radio/logs/always-on/
Each directory is about 2.5GB of data. It's circular logging, and at the current rate it's writing 30GB per day. That's nuts.
It looks like this gets started from this config file
/vendor/etc/modem/logging.conf
which contains
modem_logging_control START -o /data/vendor/radio/logs/always-on -n 50 -s 50 -m /vendor/etc/modem/default.cfg --enable_exmetric --enable_exmetric_internal
The following props are set.
-->getprop | egrep 'vendor.sys.modem'
[persist.vendor.sys.modem.logging.br_num]: [5]
[persist.vendor.sys.modem.logging.enable]: [true]
[ro.vendor.sys.modem.logging.loc]: [/data/vendor/slog]
[vendor.sys.modem.logging.enable]: [true]
[vendor.sys.modem.logging.log_count]: [50]
[vendor.sys.modem.logging.log_path]: [/data/vendor/radio/logs/always-on]
[vendor.sys.modem.logging.mask]: [/vendor/etc/modem/default.nprf]
[vendor.sys.modem.logging.param]: [/vendor/etc/modem/logging.conf]
[vendor.sys.modem.logging.skip]: [false]
[vendor.sys.modem.logging.status]: [true]
This is all default configuration as far as I know.
Does this need to be on? This seems like an obvious waste of CPU, battery, 5GB of storage, and 30GB of daily NAND wear.
This is my first Pixel/exnyos device and modem so I am not familiar with it's internals.
It looks like you can disable it permanently with "setprop persist.vendor.sys.modem.logging.enable false", or stop it immediately with "modem_logging_control STOP". Hopefully that data feed wasn't being used for anything anywhere.
Since getting this device and switching to Lineage, I've noticed it's idle battery life is not great. No doubt this dumb shit was a significant contribution.
Sony Xperia Xa2 Ultra, thank for supporting this 5year old device its my favorite due to lineage os 👏👏
I tried signing in countless times still couldn't sign in, it says something went wrong there after filling code and clicking agree
Then I tried to create new account again it says couldn't add your account Is it because of custom ROM? I don't know I recently tried to change the password twice, can it be the cause? The account is important to me please give me a solution
Update: Clean flashed the rom and gapps now it's working

Hello,
Last time I updated my Mi Mix 2 was on march, 19th. Now this device is not listed anymore. I'd like to know if it was deprecated. Just to know.
Thank you,
Greetings. I have recently installed lineage os 20 on my Samsung Galaxy S9. However, after i installed it, the mobile data stopped working. Any help?
Edit: Video showing the issue i am occuring can be found here: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/1209958287500378122/1232430544521003008/screen-20240423-233605.mp4?ex=66296de3&is=66281c63&hm=2c4c91f23e2d152dab825cd09dfdd0d6ab0476982ed82308c550cafc0e074c7c&
I have tried installing LineageOS 21 on my OnePlus 7 Pro. When I reach https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/guacamole/install/#unlocking-the-bootloader, and run the command ..
fastboot oem unlock
.. I get this result:
FAILED (remote: 'Device cannot be unlocked for technical reason.')
fastboot: error: Command failed
I can see on https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/15pupx9/oneplus\_7\_failed\_remote\_device\_cannot\_be\_unlocked/ that others have also had this problem. I suppose this means there is missing information in the installation manual.
I am no phone expert, so I would appreciate it if the manual covered this challenge with some exact steps to take.
How should I report this, so there can come detailed installation steps in the LineageOS 21 installation manual for OnePlus 7 Pro, please?
Hi there, first of all a very big thanks to the team that is maintaining the 5T version. Incredible that I can still use my OnePlus and receive security updates.
A few months ago I did the update to 21 and I know that the weekly updates are on hold until further notice. But I do experience some trouble now and I was wondering what would be smart to do. The problems mostly evolve around battery life, and in rare cases it crashes.
Do others with the same phone experience the same? Maybe it is just my poor 5T taking it's last breaths :) Should I file bug reports or maybe it gathers info automatically? I am happy to help, but I am not an experienced phone developer, I am a webdeveloper though. And finally, is it a smart move to downgrade to 20 since it felt better performance wise. Is there a guide for it (you guys spoiled us with the quality guides you are offering).
Thanks in advance for your time!
Can someone confirm that LineageOS 21 also works for Moto G73 via G7?
Hi all. I'm trying to get started with self-compilation and update of LineageOS for my device.
I have self-built LineageOS-21 for my phone and have made it through that process, but when I upload that to my phone with the "push-updates.sh" script, the installation process stops immediately with "Install error."
Is an installation logfile generated somewhere, where I can discover why the phone refused to accept the update zipfile?
Thanks all.
Is it possible to install Lineage OS on my Samsung Galaxy A52S 5G by using Linux Mint?
Is it intended not to be able to set lock screen and home screen colour scheme independantly?
I have Pixel 7 running LOS 21 and I've been unsuccessfully digging into these settings for the past 30 mins and I'm wondering whether I'm missing something.
Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to get Wifi Calling working with AT&T on a Pixel 7a. According to AT&T whitelist at https://www.att.com/scmsassets/support/wireless/devices-working-on-att-network.pdf, AT&T supports model "Pixel 7a (GWKK3)".
When I go to Settings → About Phone → Model, the page only shows the model name "Pixel 7a" (and serial number and hardware version). It does not show the model number.
Additionally, it does not look like I can pop the back cover on this phone. So I can't look at the information or data plate under the battery.
I'm running LineageOS 21-20240419-NIGHTLY-lynx. Android version 14.
How do I get LineageOS to show the model number?
Thanks in advance.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to the LineageOS devs and maintainers for their continued support and work on the Pixel 3 (P3). It means a great deal to be able to continue to use a device which still runs great and which still takes excellent photos. Also, it is a huge plus to be able to sidestep programmed obsolescence with each new LineageOS P3 update.
As an international student also, I own two second-hand P3, each with a SIM from a different country, and it would have been unnessarily expensive for me to have swapped each of these devices for a newer supported Pixel device, had LineageOS decided to drop P3 support.
Sure, the P3 runs an older and now unsupported kernel, and may not offer all the bells and whistles as the latest Pixels, but for my use case, the P3 continues to offer a compelling cost-benefit trade-off.
So thank you once again, LineageOS devs and maintainers, for all your great work !
Hello, how are you, it's a great pleasure to be here, I would like to know if there will still be updates for the Motorola one vision (Kane)
Hi,
Do you know any solid alternative to Google's Digital Wellbeing, which also offers mulitiple schedules?
I'd like to have a group of apps, which would be blocked few times a day for some time.
I like Action Dash much, but it drains a lot of battery.
Thanks for any ideas.
