An examination of historical events from an Austro-libertarian perspective with special focus on government intervention.

Non-current events from an Austro-Libertarian perspective.

"The economist who knows no history understands far less than his opposite number in the historical profession; but his claims are far greater. Therefore, he is much wider off the mark." —Murray Rothbard

We welcome people from all political and economic persuasions to post here and in fact encourage it. People will not be flamed or prevented from posting differing opinions, again this is encouraged.

Don't be afraid to ask the community's help in searching for historical resources! For example:

Title: LH Request: Statistics on hyperinflationary Weimar.
Text: Looking for statistics on German monetary supply from 1917-30

Title Acronyms:
LH - Libertarian History
EotW - Entrepreneur of the week (really when I remember to post one)

Two interviews on Ludwig von Mises and Murray Rothbard's economic thought

Hopefully, this will be of interest to libertarians and those interested in the Austrian school of economics. They are interviews with authors of articles in JHI, who've investigated the origins and ideas of the Austrian school.

What recourse did the states have if no Bill of Rights was passed?

Some of the states ratified the Constitution 2.0 on the condition that a bill of rights would be passed. What could they do if it didn't pass? Whatever that is, under what conditions can they do that?
