The Official Subreddit for the Libertarian Party of Ohio
The Libertarian Party of Ohio (LPO) is the only political party in Ohio dedicated to the principles of smaller, limited government, lower taxes and more personal liberty for the residents of the State of Ohio.
~
Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans can make this claim. The Libertarian Party of Ohio (LPO) is the third largest political party in the state.
~
Whether the issue is school choice, economic stimulus, gun rights, or property rights, the LPO will always favor the principles of limited government and maximum personal liberty.
~
The Libertarian Party of Ohio has the same vision as the Libertarian Party, which is "for a world in which all individuals can freely exercise the natural right of sole dominion over their own lives, liberty and property by building a political party that elects Libertarians to public office, and moving public policy in a libertarian direction."

Are you tired of being shut out by the Ohio General Assembly? Are you fed up with being told that you're a "spoiler?" Don't you think it's time that third parties got a chance?
We're Rank The Vote Ohio (r/RankTheVoteOhio), the state's official nonpartisan registered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to implementing ranked-choice voting in Ohio! We're in the process of initiating a ballot measure (breakdown of process on OH SOS website), with our goal to have it on the ballot by the 2024 general election. You can sign the pre-petition here.
As a former card-carrying Libertarian myself (I'm independent these days), I've been a fan of RCV since 2012, although I thought it was a pipe dream. Fast forward to 2023, and both Maine and Alaska as well as over a dozen cities in the U.S. have adopted it. Nevada is on its way, and Ohio could be next after that!

zero libertarians on my local ballot, yay, I won't win, but I participated.
My county chair has been working his butt off writing a series of three blog articles explaining what gun rights are, where they come from (hint: not the Constitution) and how we can work to restore Liberty in this context.

What are you guys doing in your local areas? Has anyone had any luck with gun laws? If you like the article, please share it around.
I quite frankly forgot the election was coming up, I'm still sorting through the people and stuff on the ballot, anyone have any solid thoughts on what's going on?
I requested my partisan ballot back in May 2020, but it still says Green Party as my political affiliation.
I tried to vote today but was only offered a democrat or republican ballot. So I walked out.
Do you guys caucus or something??
Our county chair just wrote a great summary of what's going on with the Constitutional Carry bill that just passed the Ohio Senate this month. Hope you fine folks enjoy!
Life long Ohioan, Libertarian voter since 2004. Sometimes I feel like... Ohio is really strange! How screwed are we? We have crazy fake-woke leftist communist BS in the Columbus area and in some of the other cities, we have republicans who believe more in controlling people instead of letting people be free, its like we have the worst of both major parties.
Maybe I'm just biased because I live near Cbus, and I have friends and family members who are hard-core kool-aid drinkers of the democrat persuasion. But I dunno, I often feel like trying to change things here is pointless. I only gain hope sometimes about national trends.
Someone give me some hope here.
In compliance with Article V, Β§4, of the Constitution of the Libertarian Party of Montgomery County:
A Special Convention will be held before the October business meeting to consider a motion that will allow two At-Large seats to be added to the Executive Committee. The motion will require a 60% supermajority to pass.
If it passes, a special election will be held to fill the new seats.
