For the politically homeless and/or hopeless. This community is focused on critique of mainstream liberalism, from the lens of left of center people.

Adolph Reed on Class Reductionism
For the politically homeless and almost certainly hopeless. We are left wing dissenters, Durkheim's profane. We believe class transcends partisanship.
This community is focused on honest discourse and critique of traditional "sacred cows" of liberalism, from the lens of liberals themselves. Climate Change, Gun Control, Abortion, LGBTQ issues are all appropriate topics of discussion.
While this is intended to be a critique from a liberal lens, all those who want to participate in good faith are welcome.
Rules:
1) Any eloquent critique of mainstream liberalism is welcome; including (but not limited to) climate change, gun control, and identity politics. Do you have a stance that makes you feel like a persona non-grata among people with whom you mostly agree? Discuss.
That said, low effort memeing is likely to be mocked in turn. So will citing Ben Shapiro.
2) Electoral Nonsense Post Trump
People who unironically believe in Russiagate in spite of it being debunked McCarthyite bullshit must flair themselves as "Putinwatch." This is especially true if you call January 6th an armed insurrection and you talk about the Big Lie™ even more than Trump does. You do not get to accept one baseless conspiracy and put down another.
Refusal to flair yourself as Putinwatch may result in a ban.
3) Institutional Norms
Trump is not the President anymore. Hating him is not a personality trait. Our institutional norms™ are the reason you got him in the first place.
Whining about Trump and/or institutional norms coupled with a refusal to flair may result in a ban.
4) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We stand for diversity of thought, equity of speech, and inclusion of dissenting and controversial opinions. We'd be poor Heretics without it.
That said, blatant racism, misogyny, or homophobia are not welcome. Nor is doxxing or deliberate harassment of any individual*.
*: Mockery based on good faith disagreement is not harassment.
5) Tankies and Shitlibs
Feel free to come in. But expect serious mockery, as per rule four.
6) Class over Partisanship
The Oligarchs and their political puppets that dominate the West know that we all have a lot more in common with each other than with them. Do you?

Now that Trump won the popular vote as well, will people continue to bitch about the electoral college, or will they shut up about it?
I voted a pretty straight Libertarian ticket. Honestly I won't be boogyman'ed into picking between the lesser of two evils. I'll vote for whom I want, not the perceived enemy of who I don't want.
Someone is a state sub (that I am not a part of, but Reddit decided to stick in my feed) asked the question what high horse those of us who voted for someone with no chance were on. The thread was locked by the time I got there (begging the question why Reddit's shit algorithm is showing me locked threads) so I PM'd the sore loser to explain what my high horse looked like.
They responded calling me an entitled pos. I can't imagine the unaware idiocy of calling someone else entitled because they didn't vote the way you expected/wanted them to.
I suppose I am smug about the fact that every person I voted for lost, and I don't feel any kind of way about that, because I knew that was going to happen. There is something freeing about being happy with who you voted for and having no cares about the actual outcome. Hell, maybe I am entitled.
