Besides the less than stellar on pitch performance, another issue that’s been brought up a lot is attendance. How is the club going to get people to fill LSC stadium, especially when clubs like Louisville and Detroit come to town with well established away supporters? Our supporters group are very passionate, but objectively smaller than a lot of other championship clubs. Are they going to grow in numbers? Love this club over all others, but a lot has to change before spring 2025. (also get rid of the in match music and sound effects, this is soccer not basketball)
Is there an official/unofficial “supporters section” to get tickets for?
Vote for the Lexington SC Supporters Player of the Year!
The Railbirds launched the Golden Horseshoe last year during the USL1 inaugural season to recognize the player whom the fans feel is the season's player, and have since expanded the award to USLW and USL-SL teams as well. The reasoning for selection could be their incredible performances, leadership on and off the field, passion for the club, or dedication to the club and fans. This is not intended to be an MVP award but rather a recognition of who the fans feel honors the badge day in and day out.
Previous winners:
2023 USL1 - Charlie Machell
2024 USLW - Makayla Woods
How to vote:
Select who you feel embodies the above criteria from the list below. (Any player to appear in a match in 2024 is eligible)
Submit your vote and be part of this season’s most significant decision!
Voting is open until 11:59 pm on October 18. The winner will be announced at the final USL1 home match on October 19. Every vote counts, so make sure your favorite player comes out on top!
With a disgusting season (performance wise) wrapping up, what needs to change as the club looks forward to a full season in a brand new stadium and in a much higher division of play?
Do you think we see a complete roster rebuild? Coaching changes? What needs to be done to have more support at home games?
The club has a lot of potential and has invested a ton of money into the new stadium. Lexington desperately needs another successful sports franchise but can it be successful where so many others have failed (hockey, baseball, etc)?
Anyone know the attendance for the first men’s home match? Didn’t look great in the pictures. Wish I could have been there.
Another embarrassing performance being up a man and losing. Haven’t beat Knox in 7 tries. Does the roster, coaching, or both need to be overhauled going into much higher competition next year?
Join the Railbirds at 3:30 at the Youth Complex Pavilion tomorrow for the inaugural Super League march to the match
I'm interested in tailgating at the home opener and wondering if theyre allowing it at all, and if so if there's a specific area or rules like there was at Toyota stadium
