New to Lewisville area and first time really being able to Trick or Treat with the kids. Any tips on where to trick or treat? We’ve been doing trunk or treats and different fall bashes this month but want to actually do some trick or treating today in a neighborhood, we just don’t know which one. If it helps we are in south Lewisville close to Flower Mound and Coppell.
I'm just trying to find somewhere affordable but still fun to live. I have no idea what I'm doing... I was thinking either near the colony/castle hills area, or near downtown fort worth/alliance town center.. in my mid twenties..

We are planning to open a pizza place that offers outdoor seating and a unique twist on traditional pizza. Would you be interested in trying a pizza place like this?
Let me know your thoughts! Thanks,
I’m a musician living in Lewisville since 2017. I have some professional PA equipment that isn’t being used and I am keen to see if any local businesses would be interested in partnering to do an open mic night or similar. Thanks in advance!
Does anyone have a hard copy of Beauvoir's All Men Are Mortal that I could buy? I'm reading a PDF of it right now, but I'm not too big of a fan of large-scale annotating a PDF, especially for a term paper where it's one of my main sources. I did look online, but all options will take at least a week to ship (there are no local options available), and if I can avoid it, I'd rather not reread the entire book (we read the material pretty quickly) just so I can add in my annotations. Last resort, I'll order it online, but I thought I'd ask here first.
What’s yalls go to burger join in or near Lewisville? I feel like there isn’t a great selection of burgers in Lewisville, but maybe I’m not looking in the right places.
Any Halloween parties going on? My wife and I love Halloween and decided to do a 1920s theme this year, but don’t have a lot of people around us to throw a party. Anything going on (bars, etc.)?
Please let me know who you use and if you like their service. TY!
i should have mentioned before that it was a motorcycle, it has been returned to me safely. but the thieves have been arrested. i believe there were 7 in total. turns out the grey kia soul and black kia sorento were both stolen from lewisville as well.they are at peak towing service in dallas at 11211 goodnight ln. i hope the cars are returned to the rightful owners. i pressed charges for my motorcycle, and i hope the other owners do as well. someone needs to teach these kids and their parents a expensive yet valuable lesson
the bike has been recovered. i will figure out picking it up after school. it is currently in dallas. i dont have a lot of money, but does anyone local to lewisville have a truck and ratchet straps? i can give some money for gas to go pick it up
There was a lockdown for lhs main today. Scariest moment of my life. Does anybody know what happened? I was in theatre when it happened...
Hi!! I am looking for a teenage patient 13-17 to complete my requirements for dental hygiene school. There are appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:15-11:30 or 1:00-4:30. We do cleanings, exams, x-rays, and sealants. It is located at the TCC clinic at Tarrant County College in Hurst. If anyone's interested, please reach out! I am having a hard time finding a teenager to come. Thanks!!
Just a reminder that it’s basic human decency to turn down music/bass when sitting in or driving through residential areas! Respect your neighbors, be kind to your community, avoid being a public nuisance. Thanks ❤️
I've seen some nice apartments around here, but was reading another thread saying 121 business and Hebron were bad areas.. what's it really like over there? Driving by it seemed decent to me
I’ve lived in an apartment complex near highway 121 (tollway) and i35 for 5 months now. I’ve been feeling some shaking and tremors at random times through the day. They only last for 5 second or so, and are about a minute apart. Sometimes we only feel 2 or 3 different shakes, and other times they continue on and off for about 10 minutes. They’re not daily, but I do notice it maybe 2 or 3 times a week. Does anyone know what’s going on? I’ve checked for earthquakes happening at the exact time in nearby areas but they do not match. We live near the waste management center, so my theory is that maybe they’re moving some big piles of earth around, but I don’t know if that’s even a thing.
i am an 18 year old college student who is struggling to make ends meet. im trying to find jobs within walking distance of the avery apartments. but after 2.5 months ive had no luck finding a job. but i am very handy and if you have any odd jobs that need to be done i can do that. im great with fixing cars too so if someone needs some maintenance done i can do that
They charge $20 a month just because, that’s crazy.
Pvt. Ryan Michael McCauley died on Sunday, September 5, 2004 just 17 days after leaving family, friends in Lewisville. Before shipping out, he confided in his friends he was concerned about going back to Iraq.
"He wasn't, like, not wanting to go _ he was just scared," Donald Templeton, 20, of Lewisville told The Dallas Morning News in Wednesday editions. "He had a feeling deep down that something bad was going to happen. We both kind of did."
McCauley was on foot patrol Sunday when he was ambushed in the Sadr City area of Baghdad, Army officials told his family Monday.
“He was a big teddy bear. He had a lot of friends who really cared about him,” his sister, Tiffany McCauley, 23, said. “He didn’t want us to worry about him. He wanted to go to Iraq — he really did — he wanted to fight and fight for his country.”
After graduating from Lewisville High School in 2002, Ryan made a decision to join the U.S. Army. He served for one year in South Korea. He then returned home for a month before being deployed to Iraq.
He was adamant about going into the Army, said his friend Austin Cude, 20, of Denton.
“He told us that he knew what he was doing and liked what he was doing. He wasn’t doing anything he didn’t want to do,” Cude said.
He was also survived by his parents, Mark and Shelli McCauley of Lewisville. He was 20.
