Hey there, have a problem with my heating. Any company you do recommend? My usual one doesn’t pick up today. Any reviews about SOS24/7?
Hello all!
I am an avid reader and I would like to know if there's any bookclubs in Leuven that I can join.
Also, are there any cafés with board games available or clubs related to board games and such?
Hi, is there in Leuven a place where I can come with friends and book a table to play poker? No money involved. Some cafe to order beers and snacks that allows to it will be nice to know. Thanks.
Hi! Do you know if all coffeeshops are closed today for All Saints’ Day or are there some open? Dankjulliewel!
Is er iemand die me aan een scoby kan helpen in de buurt van Leuven/Lubbeek?
Hello everyone. I am a bookworm and overall very calm person.
I would like to find a place in Leuven that serves coffee and cakes after 18:00 and where I can come to stay in a chill, quiet atmosphere. So, not a bar with loud music and drunk people. I know it’s not in Belgian tradition to leave these kind of places open after 18:00, so you can forget about Madmum and similar in the evening.
Hello!
I'm looking for a restaurant in Leuven (central or around the station) that is wheelchair friendly - step free and accessible toilets.
I already have cafe sport booked for one evening.
I've tried Hal5 who are closed for renovations and De Hoorn which doesn't have availability while I'm there.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Hey,
I want to fix my watch.
Probably changing the battery and change the band. Do you know any places where I can fix these?
Hi, I'm a visiting scholar and recently arrived in Leuven. Are there any Diwali celebrations happening here? Would love to spend it with someone as I'm far from family and friends. Happy Diwali. Btw, this is my first ever reddit post:D
I parked my bike in the main station parking lot but now i cant find it. I locked it with chain lock and it was e-bike from the KUL.
Mistakenly i parked it on the opposite side of parking stand but still it was properly parked and was not blocking the way and there were bunch of other bikes parked there as well.
Apparently It was not allowed to park there because there was paper on the stand and warning was written in dutch without any sign.. as i dont understand dutch and never saw that paper before that’s why i parked it there but now my bike has been confiscated.
Can someone guide me what should i do and where to find my bike???
Not that im 30 already, easier for the question, but seems like most going out places In Leuven are filled with 18-21 year olds which feels a bit silly at some point. Is there any places there's a more mixed ages/bit older? Sometimes I went to STUK events which was nice, but any other ideas?
Hello,
I've heard from some that the Bodart parking lot is no longer accessible by car, but I can't find anything about it being the case online.
Can I use the parking lot or should I look for another one?
Thanks in advance
Hi, I will be traveling to Leuven in two weeks and will need to take the bus for about 4 days. It seems to be easy to buy bus tickets in the app, but how to actually use them ? Is the ticket a QR code that is scanned in the bus or something like that ? Thanks in advance.

Hi Leuvenaars, I'm looking for a short-term job in a restaurant (preferably kitchen since I like cooking, and have always wondered whether working in a restaurant kitchen would be something for me). No problem to start at the bottom of the totem pole washing dishes and the like (not to throw shade on dishwashers), I'm just looking to stay afloat financially while I look for a next job more in my field. I'm wondering if restaurants commonly hire only students or flexijobbers, or if they would consider another formula. I'm currently still a zelfstandige (a holdover from my previous job) so figured they could either pay me as a zelfstandige, or as a regular employee (in which case I'd happily become a part-time zelfstandige and pay less quarterly taxes). Any help much appreciated; I'm happy to grind and would love to learn new skills if the opportunity is there.
Ik fietste daarnet rond 22:10 aan Bruulpark (Villa de Frit) en er weerklonk plots een zot luide knal. Ik zag mensen uit hun voordeur komen, even verward als ikzelf.
Iemand die meer weet?
Hi! New arrival to Leuven. I live near Campus Arenberg and am making plans to go swimming regularly.
I hear that the closest swimming pool to my area is the Sportoase, but that pool is full most of the time. Does anyone know what time the pool becomes less busy?
I'm also planning to shop for some swimming trunks, and am wondering what are the best deals. Does Kringwinkel sell swimwear?
Looking for a recommendation for a shop to buy costumes in the centre of Leuven

Hey y'all, does anyone know of any streets in town that are participating in Halloween, particularly trick or treating? I know that there was an even yesterday on the Bruugstraat in Kessel-lo, but I have yet to find others.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi, I am moving to leuven in January. Any recommendations for reasonably priced beauty services- facials, manicure and eyebrow threading? Thanks in advance.
Hi there, I am an international student from the UK and I’m applying for residency in Leuven/Belgium. I have my annex 15 and I would like to know what the police check consists of? I was told to try and have my name on the doorbell or mailbox. Do I have to be in? Will they want to speak to me? Or do the police officers just swing by, see your name on the doorbell or whatever and that’s it? I want to know as I live in a shared house with only one doorbell and post/mailbox, so I don’t want them ringing the doorbell and one of my roommates having to answer, as I work on weekdays.
Hopefully this makes sense.
Thanks in advance.
Does anyone know what happened to D'entreprise? My friends and I loved to go there, but it seemed like one day it was open and the next it was closed for seemingly no reason.
This has kept me up at night, so drop any info you know 🙏
Also would love some recommendations for cocktail bars/restaurants with a similar vibe :)
Has anyone found a green rucksack containing clothes?
There used to be the ‘meating room’ but has been closed for some time now. Any recommendations?
Hi everyone,
I had a few queries, if people here have any input on this would be highly appreciated.
I am a final year PhD student graduating around May 2025. My residence permit expires in March 2025. To legally stay here I need a residence permit. Hence I am creating a block account for that. I would like to know how much it counts for 1-year blocked account in order to get the permanent residence permit. Currently, I don't have a contract yet for a job. Is it counted as 1 complete year or as 0.5 or as nothing?
Does anybody know a place to buy good and affordable vanilla and pumpkin spice syrup for coffee?
