Looking for venues or shows in and around Leesburg. I know Tally Ho is probably the big one, but hoping to find something like a comedy night at a bar or brewery. Searching individual pages is hit or miss, and Google mostly brings up DC. Does anyone know somewhere nearby that has regular events?
Are there any Christian private schools in Loudoun that don’t indoctrinate kids into MAGA? I want my child to be taught actual Christian values and worries that may be all she would get.
Thanks in advance
Where do people live who work in Leesburg but have to commute because the rent is too damn high? Seems like a cute town but a cursory search seems to indicate renting an apartment is much like the rest of the housing market right now : very high.
If any one has any suggestions we are looking for a preschool in the area that can hopefully have the following:
M-F
Starts before 9 AM
Prefer full-day but can make half day work (just need 4+ hours PLEASE)
Located in Leesburg or even western Ashburn
Most importantly isn't >$1600/month if full time (I know this one might be tough but its TOUGH out here)
I’m newer to this area. I keep getting solicited by Washington Gas to purchase gas line insurance. Do people actually purchase this insurance? Is it a common thing most Va residents do? Thanks.
I'm going to be walking around on a trail (harry potter walk) Saturday evening. Do you guys have snow on the ground? Mud? I'm trying to figure out appropriate footwear. I'm from New England, it's just a matter of what to put in my bag. Thanks for the input.
Hi - My husband, three year old daughter and I are planning a long weekend in Leesburg in February. Are there any good spots for an early Friday or Saturday evening out with kids? We'd love to find a local brewery, beer hall, or other spot where families gather for a drink and unwinding.
There's a million recommendations on google. We'll be staying up near Hillsboro for vineyards but we'll be in Leesburg for two days before heading up to Harper's Ferry. Any locals recommendations on what to check out/eat in the spring?
Edit: thank you to everyone who posted so far! We're stoked to plan out stay!
Hello. We just recently bought a house in the area and when we went to move in we discovered that the propane tank was empty. Our house is heated by propane, so with the weather it’s an issue. We haven’t set up an account with anyone yet because we were told we would have around 40% of the tank remaining. Does anyone know of anyone who will fill the in ground propane tank without an account? Thanks.
1/19 UPDATE: looking for team mates for Thursday, 1/23! 7pm. Let me know if you'd like to join!
Hey yall, new to the area and while I don't live right in Leesburg (out in an isolated area), I am looking to make some new friends and come in to town for some trivia nights. Is anyone interested in meeting up this Thursday, 1/16, for trivia night at the Loudon Kitchen and Bar? Feel free to DM or comment if so. If you have a favorite trivia night, I'm open to other places.
Hi! I’m visiting Leesburg this weekend. Staying with a family member for a baby shower, but I’d like to sneak away by myself for a few hours on Saturday. Any recommendations? Coffee shops to read in, local shops or must-visit bakery? Literally anything that would be relaxing—doesn’t need to be fancy!
I’m a stay at home mom of two littles, so I want to just relax and enjoy my own company for a bit! Thanks for the help.
Anything going on in Leesburg or surrounding areas on New Year’s Eve? Looking to do something fun! Open to all ideas.
Do anyone know any legitimate dating sights
I wanted to take a moment to share something deeply personal and meaningful to me. At 23, I faced an unimaginable loss when I lost my mother to alcohol addiction. It was a painful journey that led me to struggle with my own mental health for nearly a decade. During that time, I often searched for a purpose and a way to turn my pain into something positive.
Today, I’m proud to announce that I’ve opened a mental health counseling practice, The Counseling Corner. We are building a team of incredible clinicians, each of whom shares a commitment to help others navigate difficult times and find hope and healing. Our goal is to create a safe space where people can feel understood, supported, and empowered on their journey to wellness. We’re here to save lives and help individuals reclaim their strength. If you or someone you know is looking for support, please reach out. Together, we can make a difference and continue the fight to destigmatize mental health while helping others to take that step if they are dealing with a challenge. Thank you for allowing me to share this journey with you.
We operate via telehealth to expand coverage throughout the entire state.
My parents recently moved to a retirement community in Ashburn to be closer to my sister in Leesburg, and they need hobbies. They basically do everything together so do you know where they could take a class or do something fun together? Maybe an art class? Book club? Any ideas you have are greatly appreciated. TIA!
Hi, I am thinking about moving to Leesburg. Previously lived in Chicago but have to move closer to DC. I am searching for pros and cons of living in Leesburg 😊.
For now huge pros for me are 1) the proximity to forests and 2) catholic schools.
Hi all, we're starting a Local Conversation for a r/StrongTowns group here in Leesburg. Our next meeting is in January and if you fill out this brief contact form, I will send out an invitation to the monthly meeting using google calendar.
Any problems, please let me know.
My fiancé and I enjoy driving around neighborhoods with impressive Christmas lights and gawking while blasting Christmas music. Does anyone have any recommendations of neighborhoods that usually have lights worth seeing in the area?
Hi! I’m posting for a relative of mine! She is sometimes low on funds to get dog food for her 2 dogs. Are there any shelters or organizations that help with food here and there? Please point me in the right direction if possible!
I’m trying to remember the name of an art gallery that was located downtown in the early 2000. It was a family owned gallery I believe I just cannot remember the family’s name or the name of the gallery.
Does anyone have experience with Starlink in Leesburg? I’m looking at a farm house out here that isn’t connected to the usual internet providers.
