If the Lebanese people had a referendum to vote for or against the presence of Hezbollah as a military group (not as a political party), would the results be for or against Hezbollah?
From what I’ve been seeing on social media, they still seem to have a lot of support. While I know that the Shia in Lebanon (even if all of them support Hezbollah) wouldn’t make up the majority for the vote, they’re also receiving support from some christians, or druze... so i’m wondering if all their supporters combined would outnumber those against.
History books taught us that the world suffered so much from WWs so they made UN to prevent wars from breaking again and keeping the world peaceful.
On paper it's good but why the hell did they include the veto system? Like it basically made the UN worthless. Ukraine and Russia in war? Russia vetoes everything. Israel in war and committing genocide? USA vetoes everything despite the entire world being against it.
Even if we disregard that, what did the UN ever accomplish? They couldn't even ensure that 1701 happens, they had one job in this tiny piece of land and they failed !!!
UN is a joke/ rant over
I want to visit Lebanon, but flights are three times the price, hard to book, and the situation there is still risky—should I go or not? Is anyone visiting this Christmas?

I don't think naming it "2024 Hezbollah - Israel war" is fair cause a lot of civilians are paying the price." Lebanon Israel war" is not fair too cause a lot of Lebanese (if not all) don't want anything that deals with this war. I don't wanna hope naming it " the end of Hezbollah's" war cause that means total destruction of lebanon. Maybe "the Lebanese's not war ??" IDEAS??
Before berri and hochstein's meeting, naeem qassem said he was going to give a speech.
But after the meeting, he posponed it... does that mean anything?
Hello,
Anyone here can technically (I don't mind techy details, links, articles) explain how the GPS spoofing is happening in Lebanon, and why there's nothing we can do about it? (As end-users using our phones for example).
Thank you! I'm prepping for a presentation.

Sitting here, can't focus on anything else. Mega stressed. Deep down, I know Israel has no incentive to end the war now, aside from getting its citizens back in the North. On our side in Lebanon, we have everything to lose if the war drags on, the country is already ruined.
Hi all! I’m temporarily staying in Beirut and craving tabikh so badly - things like moghrabieh and mloukhiye. Any stew with Lebanese rice. Where can I find a clean, decent restaurant (not fine dining pricing) in Beirut where I can eat my heart out?
I tried Le Chef the other day and it was good but they only had appetizer style foods.

Just a week after winning several of the nation’s largest Arab-majority cities, President-elect Donald Trump has filled top administration posts with staunch Israel supporters, including an ambassador to Israel who has claimed “there is no such thing as Palestinians.”
