Someone told me that, after the French Mandate, Lebanon was intended to be a Christian/Druz country, while Syria was for the Arabs. Like a 2 State Solution.

I saw an old post in this subreddit where this Lebanese Christian guy (who lives in the U.S.) was saying that his parents oppose him being married to a Palestinian Christian woman because of what the PLO did in the civil war.

This surprised me, I thought Lebanese Christians would have a more positive view of other Arab Christians since they are both minorities. Or that they'd be more accepting of them at least compared to Palestinian Muslims. I know the PLO had Christian members too but wouldn't a Palestinian Christian have more in common with a Lebanese Christian?

Hello, Im living in Europe but have many friends and colleagues from Lebanon. Theyre all Muslims and quite passionate about it. I therefore thought my whole life Lebanon was a Muslim place.

Last year I joined several social media platforms(Instagram and Twitter) and to my surprise almost every week I see people calling Lebanon "historically Christian" and that it would be wrong to portray Lebanon as part of the Islamic world. Its mostly the same type of people making these statements and therefore I doubt their assessment. I asked some of colleagues on work about this issue and they gave me an alternative explanation. Something about outdated censuses by the French in 20th Century and civil war here and sectarian conflict there blah blah blah

My question, is Lebanon actually a Christian place and the Muslims are a minority or are the censuses really that outdated?

My cousin got a scholarship to finish his studies in Germany. He got all his docs together and even had his “final” interview before submitting his papers.

Out of experience this might take 1-6months before they give a green light. Hence, I wanted to check if anyone knows anyone that can have a look at his case.
