I have an image of multple colors and shades in the form of stain glass. I'd like to just keep the black leading and remove all other colors. What's the most efficient way to do this AND to then keep the colors without the black leading and no empty space so I can create a pattern/tile of the various colors and shades? I'm currently using the eraser tool and the generative expand but it's painfully slow.

I'm trying to add a colored highlight to a person's face as if a pink neon light was casting a light on them at a concert. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for this? So far I've tried making a shape with the pen tool to fit the plane of the face where I want it to be, solid color filled the shape, did screen blend mode, then add Gaussian blur and played with the opacity. It looks okay-ish, but washes out the color.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :)
