League of Ireland and domestic Irish football chat

Sporting Fingal popped into my head the other day. Remember being brought to a few of their matches when I was younger. Just wondering if anyone here supported a team that no longer exists (god knows there's been a few to choose in the LOI).
Also curious, if the team you did support disbanded did you pick a new one or just decide to be a neutral?
cheers
First go at an LOI animation, hope you all enjoy it ππ
Surely the new proposed stadium is very close to category 4 (8,000 seats etc). To build a span new stadium and still not be able play uefa conference league football in it is a massive opportunity missed.
Teams based on population zones, geographical area and to some extend team quality and existing infrastructure. No expert and open to interpretation. It is more about the concept. FAI need to show leadership on this and show some proper ideas and proposals for clubs to row in behind.
Out for a morning walk and saw this, brought a smile and a much needed one with FFG getting back in
Hi lads,
Thought I would leave this here. We are a sports show just after getting started on Dublin City FM and aim to provide some exclusive coverage on LOI. We just did an interview with Dundalk Centre Back Mayowa Animasahun. Mayowa chats openly about the mad season had by Dundalk and gives an interesting view into the campaign. Hope you all enjoy.
Basically we all have chants or songs we sing on match day. Listening to ours in Vienna got me thinking of the original songs they are based on. Be interested to see what other clubs have and the Rovers ones I miss:
Shamrock Rovers: Chants: βEverybody hates Shamrock Roversβ - I think weβre alone now (Tiffney/tommy James) βTa La La Tallaght La Laβ - Hey Jude (The Beatles) βTallaght housing schemeβ - Yellow Submarine (The Beatles) βShe wore a green ribbonβ - she wore a yellow ribbon (George Norton) βMilltown Roadβ - take me home, country roads (John Denver) βGreen Flagβ - O Tannenbaum/Oh Christmas Tree (traditional) βRovers fans a risingβ - Bad moon rising (CCR) βTwigg of Scotlandβ - Flower of Scotland (Trad)
Songs: Build me up buttercup- The foundations A little respect - Erasure Love is in the air - John Paul young Hold me close - David Essex.
There are lots that Iβm not sure if they are based on a song or not like mclaughlins aces, 4 in a row, Louis on his back etc.
How much have they made so far and what could they make depending on how they do going forward?
Dundalk FC also lost in the region of β¬2.4 million between November 2021 and December 2023.
Donβt see a match thread so just thought to make one
Following Mondays debate on sports broadcasted on premier sports, could anyone drop the manifestos each party has with regard to improving sports, in particular football?
Could be a good place to share info and get a discussion going ahead of tomorrow

The Bohs v Rovers game being played in the Aviva is the sort of pub talk idea many of us would have floated to mates in the past before a more reasonable person in the room would bring up obvious blockers like cost or home advantage, etc.
If we, as a sub, could just ignore any red tape involved, what would be your idea big or small that could have a positive impact or the league?
Forget what I said about positive times for the club
Are we still playing at dalymount this season or what?
