Dedicated to those of us living in the big Lake O, hopefully a place we can vent about our first-world problems here in this suburbia and organize meet-ups.

Where to get good raw oysters in Lake O?
Alright guys, not sure I can do this - this is my first ever Reddit post so idk the rules 😂 there’s this Trimet bus driver who drives bus #35 down MacAdam around 12:00/1:00. He’s bald and muscular/tattooed with a great big smile and twice in the last month or so we have driven by each other and had these cute flirty moments! It happened today and we clearly remembered each other from the first time. So I’m just wondering… do any of you know this guy?! 😂 there’s got to be someone on here that rides his bus. If you know him, let me know and I’ll give you more info about my car/appearance/where we drove by each other so he knows who you’re talking about, if he wants to connect lol. God, this is ridiculous and I’ll probably delete later. Help a hopeless romantic out 🤦🏼♀️
Let’s put Lake O on the map
Hi, this is a weird request but my friend is looking for Lake Oswego stickers. Does anyone know where I could find some for him?
We’re looking at moving to LO but am concerned of the city’s stigma. Are there neighborhoods that have a lot of down to earth young families or is everyone filthy rich & full of botox? Simply put, we’re fortunate to have good jobs & can afford to move to a better school system. Would love to hear people’s experiences!
hi! i’m a (24)F …love video games, making art, and fashion.
i’m moving to lake oswego in a couple months. I visited there last month and loved it, but i’m wondering what the people are like there, and if there are people around my age. I’d like to make friends eventually but not sure if making friends is as easy in Lake Oswego compared to Portland.
I attended Uplands Elementary from around 2000-2004, before moving back home to Scotland and losing contact with everyone I knew in LO. I've found a couple of people on social media over the years, but figured I'd try this subreddit to see if anyone else attended Uplands around that time that I might have known!
Aware it's a bit of a long shot, but I have loads of great memories from living in LO from that time and think about it often, as well as the friends I made that I wish I kept in contact with.

I don’t understand how people live here. The train woke me up thrice last night!! It is so so loud!! I hate it!!

Hey all. I’m just getting back into tennis, currently taking clinics at Mountain Park racquet club. I’d love to find meetups/opportunities/people to play more tennis.
I heard there was a dispute about who owned the bar and that’s why it’s closed…..Has anyone on here heard anything about this?

Hi all. I'm relatively new to the state and area. I am looking for things to do and people to meet. I mainly enjoy taking lessons (language, dance, self defense), the gym, events, and movies. If you have any suggestions for meeting people in the area please do share.
Hi everyone.
I'm staying with my partner here in LO for part of the summer and I'm interested in doing some petsitting on the side to earn a bit of pocket money that I'd be able to spend on my stepkids. Where would I go to advertise/put myself out there? Any platforms or groups besides the local Facebook groups?
Thanks in advance for the help!
We currently live in Bethany and are trying to decide between Camas WA and LO for better schools. Bethany schools seem to be really bad in the last few years and getting crowded. We live a townhome so looking to buy a house with a decent yard. LO seems to be more inviting but not sure of the diversity. We are of Indian ethnicity and don’t want our kids to feel left out when they start public school. LO residents please pour in your suggestions. Thanks!
Hello Oswegian folks. I'm looking for a share ride from lake oswego to Salem for a couple of months only. I would pay for Gas and split other expenses like parking, etc. If you interested DM me!!
Taking the family to the Festival of Arts tomorrow but I don't want to miss the game. Anyone know of places showing the match?
Hey folks, moving to LO and the house we’re purchasing has a water softener already. Is this really needed? What’re people’s thoughts on the water?
This store needs to improve their service, organization and attitude. I am disappointed.
Hello!
I am new-ish to the area and looking to meet some like-minded people around my age (I am 33). I intentionally do not own a car and I live in Lake Oswego, so looking to meet people in my area within 7mi or so. Wondering if anybody is into outdoor volleyball, flag football, kayaking/paddleboarding, running, biking. Open to tennis, hiking, soccer, lacrosse, plant-loving (gardening/identifying) and volunteering at parks as well. I am social dude, just having trouble meeting like-minded, same-aged people in this area. Hope to hear from some people!
Hi Oswegians!
On behalf of me, my partner and my two wonderful bonus kids, I’d like to know how school enrollment works. My partner has recently moved from Hillsboro to Lake Oswego and she has a dream of enrolling her oldest kid to Oak Creek after this summer break. How does it work, exactly? Is she already too late with the application? None of us is from here. I’m visiting for the time being but have to finish my MA degree in my native Denmark before I can make the move. All, any and every kind of tip/help is welcome!
Thanks in advance c”,)
Hi Oswegians!
My partner is on her way to move to an apartment in Lake Oswego and she has 2 wonderful kids. She is looking to enroll the oldest kid in a elementary school and has been looking at Oak Creek and Lake Grove, since they’re the two closest to her. Is there anyone here who can share a few anecdotes or experiences with these 2 elementary schools? If one of them is far superior to the other for some given reason I guess there’s only one choice for her - which would make it easier!
Thank you in advance :-)
