Hi! I'm a senior looking forward to applying to Lafayette as an electrical engineering major. I was wondering what the faculty, resources, professors, and job placement are like. Additionally, how is the social life for people who don't want to participate in Greek life? I was unable to find much information about the school. Any insights would be appreciated!
I am an international student and I have applied ED 1 at lafayette. My SAT Is 1410 and GPA is 3.91/4. In my css profile my EFC is around 4000. I am worried that seeing this low EFC will make me reject it directly. I have some very good ECS and LORs but My Financial condition may make it hard. I am so worried rn.
Just to finish some things abt my suppls, someone plsðŸ˜
I know I'm late but what's the GPA and ACT requirements to get into ULL
are lafayette basketball games very attended and fun? I applied ED1 and would like to visit again and go to a game or another event. i assume the lehigh basketball game would be a big thing but thinking of going to a november or december game not the end of january. Are there any other events you recommend coming for?
So currently, i submitted css and common app profiles, however since i send css only yesterday and still don't have access to idoc. I had read that invitation letter may come within 1-3 days. Therefore, i have a question, is it okay if i submit idoc later than 15 November? I had emailed their financial office, however on site, they wrote that applicats are not supposed to send any identification information, thus just emailed with a question. How strongly it will affect my chances of getting financial aid? I am sure that my family wouldn't be able to afford their full tuition fee
Hi! As a prospective student, I'd love to know what are the course syllabuses at Lafayette for Computer Science major. I also wanted to know, how good this college for ML and Data Science?
Hey, I'm applying ED 1 and I was wondering how is the computer science in lafayette.
Hi, i am an international student, who is planning to apply to ed1 and financial aid soon. My stats are ielts 7.5 (everything above 6.5) and sat superscore 1400 (610 w/r and 790 math), gpa 4.64 out of 5 (we have no ap classes available). I am going to apply for chemical engineering as first year student. I don't have a lot of extracurriculars, outstanding ones are silver medal on infomatrix-asia 2023 and chairperson at school mun; others like: volunteering on international chess tournament for more than 40 hours; and having two researchs paper which weren't publish anywhere. Plus, parents' total year income about 55000-60000 usd per year. Do i have chances of getting in? I'm scared that there will be too many competitive students 😞😞
Hi there, I am a prospective international student. I really like everything about the college till now and its my ED college. I would like to know what made currently enrolled students, aluminis, choose lafayette. Thank you!!
Hey all, so I'm planning to apply to Layfette Regular decision and I was wondering how the chem program is there. Honestly I have no clue anything and layfette other than its just 1 school I think.
How is the dorms, life, people, academics, teachers, etc? I'm not really sure if this is going to be high up on my list or not.
How is the campus? If you visited them, I like campuses like Pitt, Drexel, Georgetown, Villanova, so like campuses that are cities or near cities basically. Not really by themselves.
Tbh I only used this college as a 10th college just to have 10. Its probably at the bottom of my list but it might go up depending on what you guys say.
Applying and wanted to know.
hey, I’m currently a freshman at a nescac school (not saying which one) and I hate it. I’m looking to transferring to LC. I’m pretty sure I have around a 3.8 GPA considering I’m in 2 200 level classes as a freshman and I plan to take 5 classes next semester. I have one leadership role and I’m working on another. In highschool I had a 3.7, test optional, and I had various leadership roles in my community. Do you think I have a chance of getting in?
Hello! I’m planning to apply to Lafayette through Early Decision and, as an international student, I unfortunately can’t visit the campus in person. For those of you who are current students, I’d love to hear what made you choose Lafayette. What stood out to you, and how has your experience been so far? Thanks so much for any insights you can share!
I was hoping you guys could tell me if I have a chance of being accepted to Lafayette given my info. I am a junior who will likely end up with around a 3.63ish weighted academic gpa and am taking the SAT in June but have done well on the PSATs. My extra curricula’s are pretty good and include, President of a school club, employed at large jewelry store, founder of a company with significant revenue, various service projects, and various other less significant ecs. I am a white Jewish man from a private school In California with a high earning family.
hii I'm an international student interested in applying to Lafayette for engineering. How is the financial aid packages for internationals? Should I apply ED if I want significant aid?

Has anyone taken advantage of the  Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges (LVAIC), Lehigh University. Was Lafayette good about accepting the credits and how does it work with tuition?
I am a prospective Int applicant from South Asia! As Lafayette is a Need Aware college, How much of EFC do they expect or let's say they want students to have at least? I am planning with an EFC of 10-15k a year. What do you think?
Anyone selling a parking pass for today’s football game?
How is Kamine??
Is it all freshman?
Do freshman go to frats nearby?
What do I need to know about it if it is my freshman year dorm?
Ok so I really want to study abroad, but I have an expired passport. Ik it sounds stupid since I haven't even started classes yet. But I want to at least get my passport started because I'm sure many of you are familiar with how hard that process is. My genuine question is it worth it and is Switzerland a good place to study abroad?
I'm planning to ED Lafayette this fall as I really think the college is my fit. For the most part, I've only heard good things about Laf and most of the information I've found about it is positive.
However, I am aware that every college has it's downsides so I was hoping that any current students or alumni could share the worst parts about attending Lafayette so that I can have a more broad picture before committing to my application.
Anyone here have experience bringing their motorcycle to campus or know anyone that has? I’ve seen some motorcycles parked in various spots on campus, rarely taking up an actual parking spot. Can you get away with not registering for a parking pass? I can’t imagine they could reasonably require you to pay $500 to park somewhere that isn’t taking up a spot for a car.
