This is so cool ! :)
I know it's a bad picture, but I couldn't hold my excitement so had pic is what you're gonna get. :D
Saw this at my local game store and immediately thought of LGR and the fellow viewers!
Back in the old days I remember having a cool 'gaming' motherboard that had a special device that would plug in the back (not usb) and had a small lcd screen showing fan, cpu and temp details and you could press a button to overclock the cpu on the fly.
It had, i think, 4 buttons on it and could turn the pc on too.
I vaguely remember it could have been OC-Guru branded?
I would love to know what model it was and some specs, I havent been able to find any info about it and no-one i know remembers anything like it.
anyone know what I may be looking for?
UPDATE: on another redit someone sugested it may have been this one, https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/accessories/oc_panel/
But the one that I owned was a smallish silver device with a vaguely semicircular shape.
Having a hell of a time finding anything like it on google.
I should also state it was probably in the early 2000's
It was so chaotic and showcased LGR’s humor perfectly. I rewatch them every once in a while and still crack up.
Are there any LGR videos that you guys think about on a regular basis?
My hubby just about shat himself when we found this.
Some other nice news:
While it’s still early on with going through items affected by the storm, it appears the LGR big box PC game collection is fully intact! That was on the opposite side of the house to where the trees fell in.
And thankfully the main collection room did NOT FULLY cave in from above, which was quite a concern. It got rather rain-soaked through the ceiling and mold is rapidly taking over, but steps will be taken to remedy soon as I can. Working with insurance and restoration companies.
This unfortunately means a big chunk of vintage hardware is compromised, plus the structure itself is iffy. Waiting on professionals to come through and inspect.
Still just super thankful to be safe, staying with family for the time being, & in communication with helpful folks.
Found in a case, unopened, $6 heck yeah!
