Hi there,
My partner and I are on our around the world sabbatical. We will be in Bali in Jan/Feb and just saw the schedule for World Pride in Sydney and Kylie's concert. We absolutely love her and want to try and weave in Sydney into our itinerary during these dates. However, we saw the concert is sold out for her concert on opening night. Can anyone advise whether more tickets will be sold at a later date or if it is easy to find 2? Please advise!!
Thanks!
Hi :) am looking for good lgbtqia+/queer nightlife located in Brisbane or Gold Coast any advice is greatly appreciated thanks heaps
Hi guys, I'm an aspiring screenwriter and I'm trying to write about life for members of the LGBT community in 1960s-70s, and I'm wondering if there's anyone on this page who lived through that time or knows someone else (part of the LGBT community) who would be willing to share their story? DM me if you're interested :)
have my blood works for starting testosterone tomorrow but I forgot and smoked weed last night, will this effect my results and therefore dosage?? will it show on the tests, and can I get in trouble for that? (I'm south Australian under 18)
Meanwhile, they don't seem to have any problem cooperating with Nine Entertainment/Fairfax on "exclusive" investigative reporting. And wing-nuts from the Institute for Public Affairs never seem to have any trouble getting a spot on any ABC panel discussion.

I’m (48F) coming to Sydney from WA for World Pride and I’m looking for some idea of places to go and things to do while I’m there. I have tickets for the opening concert and grandstand seats for the parade and would like to do some other things while I’m there. Travelling solo.
Good places to eat? I’ve a hotel booking in the city centre. I don’t have a huge budget.
Hi all,
Are there going to be more tickets to Sydney World Pride events?
I miss the allocation of tickets first time round.
On another note, I just came out, phew; what a relief.
Thanks heaps.
Hey y’all, I’m wondering if anyone knows where I can get a pride lanyard for work that isn’t made by big companies for profit (maybe a charity or something)?
Looking for general pride but will also take lesbian flag as well 🤗🏳️🌈
Hi everyone. I am a non-binary/queer from China, I’m currently in Sydney. My pronouns are they/she.
Tonight my 2 lesbian frds and I were talking about an LGBT event we went together few weeks ago. I mentioned a girl from that event and one of my friend corrected me “the man dress like woman”. Actually that girl is a trans woman and I feel very uncomfortable when my friend said that. I said everything I can say to her: you can’t say it you can’t define others’ gender that’s discrimination you have privilege because you are cis you don’t need to experience it………..and they just say “oh that’s my freedom of speech “ is it counted as hate speech under Australia law? Can they really say that without any price? I’m feeling tired and helpless. my mother cut off the relationship with me because I’m not straight. I cut off contact with my cousin coz she told me she doesn’t agree with same-sex marriage(when I identified myself as a lesbian and she knew that). Also I stop talking to friends those who support Chinese government to start a war on Taiwan and deny Uyghurs camp’s existence.
I don’t want to do cut-off thing anymore but I realised that they are everywhere and I just want to make some new friends,it’s hard to avoid homo/transphobias. My compromise is to learn to get along with them with a peaceful mind. Sounds stupid but what else can I do now?
How do you do it? Or have you ever tried to get along with them?(I hope I express it correctly as English is not my first language)
A great opportunity to watch her beautiful films on the big screen

Hey y'all! So I'm transfemme nonbinary, US expat, and a public sector worker in VIC. Nothing fancy, just a low grade administrative clerk. On weekends, I do a bit of songwriting, extras work, poetry jams, breakdancing, the very rare musical theatre gig - just being a typical artsy Melbournite.
Recently I presented a speech at our office's LGBT pride panel at the end of June, and another department's HR exec thought I was sourced externally based on my public speaking skills. Now, they want me to meet with some high ups in the VPS Commission to discuss trans and gender diverse persons' experiences in the Public Sector.
My experiences were from growing up in the USA, so I know they're going to be vastly different from people here and wanted to hear from other trans and gender diverse peeps in VIC who work or have worked in the public sector what it's been like for you. My experience has been so much better here than what I enured in the USA, so it's often easy for me to overlook issues experienced here.
I'd love to hear from folks in the LGBT Australia reddit what sorts of experiences any public sector workers here have experienced, so that I can be more informed and share your stories when I meet with these government big wigs next week. So how about it?
tl;dr: if you're trans or gender diverse queer in the VIC Public Sector I'd be keen to know your stories and experiences. :)
I’m looking for a barber that’s ftm trans friendly. I’m looking to get something like a Korean mullet which will be a bit softer of the sides and closer to neutral. Anyone have any recommendations on the more southern side of the city? Edit: I totally forgot to say I mean Melbourne! So sorry everyone!!
