My lax family, I haven’t strung a head since the 90s but really enjoyed and had some success back then.
Now my son is 10 and loving lax, playing on a store bought string king legend. I am looking to buy and string a backup stick, looking for suggestions on heads, string kits, guides to get back into it.
He plays club, middie and attack, handles a good number of the teams faceoffs.
Suggestions?
So its came to my attention that although I have been practicing shooting passing catching I have not been in a scrimiage or any such game. There is open feilds in december but I still feel like I'd need to know a little. I watch as many videos as I can but they only do so much. I only have one friend that plays lacrosse so I dont really know like how to learn the game I guess. Im only stressing because tryouts are in 3 months and this year it will be cuts
On every post and comment that mentions wall ball with a tennis ball I see argument in people saying it is great for creating soft hands while others say it’s useless since it doesn’t replicate a game ball, what do you think?
How do I eat it?
From what I've looked up online, Pier 40 at Hudson Yards has fields that can be used for lacrosse. Is it like Randall's Island where there are fields with lacrosse nets and soccer nets, or is it some other system? Also, can I just walk in and go onto a field, or is there some registration I have to do beforehand?
Im in grade 11 and my second year of field (I’ve played box my whole life), this year I started playing on a travel team and I’m playing on a team with mostly grade 10s and all the guys who I played box with and tried out are on the mainly grade 11 team. So next year is my last year and I want to make the grade 12 team. Im a middie and strengths are speed, agility, running the ball up and on ball defense. My weaknesses are probably stick skills with both hands and probably game iq including defensive slides, positioning and offense in general. I have a box net in my driveway, stucko wall which I play wallball with a tennis ball, a trampoline style rebounder. With this setup does anyone have a routine for practicing everyday. I have 1 game and 2 practices every week if anyone wants to know. Thanks.
Looking for the best snacks to sustain/boost performance for 1 day tournaments
Two-way offensive middie
Love fruit, hate PBJ
Yooooo guys once again I come back to this subreddit for your opinions
At the moment I do not have a stick of my own (I am renting one from my club) and am planning on buying one, but dont know what to get. I play middie and am pretty active on both offense and defense. If you could give me any good options as far as shafts, heads and stores go that would be much appreciated. (I live in switzerland so if you guys know any good european stores or stores with low shipping costs that would be amazing. Looking forward to hearing from you guys!!!
Whats the hardest part about being a lacrosse player?
My son received a new lacrosse stick head last night as a team gift and I tried my hand at stringing it for the first time. I still need to do the bottom string.
I was a competitive downhill skier in college so I was used to tuning my own skis. My son is only 10 but I thought it would be cool to learn the skill and then teach him.
How'd I do? I need some more strong for the bottom so I will have the shop look at it too. It was a labor of love so I hope that I get kind reviews, haha.
This docu-series has been the hardest I’ve ever worked on anything in my life. Any view, share, like or interaction in general is massively appreciated in so many ways.
To have been able to play a part in telling the story of this team will forever been an unforgettable experience for me.
Thank you
My son recently switched lax teams. They have the same color helmets, but the facemask is a different color.
I cannot find anywhere that sells facemasks separately. Does anyone know where to look or if Cascade will change the facemask if I send it to them?
What is the best clear for D/LSM? I don’t like the super high cleats personally

Washed up field player here… just dabbling in a men’s league for fun now a days and noticed some of the old heads are rocking box helmets and I’m tired of my old rusty cascade R helmet I want to switch it up… I’ve talked to some of the guys but they said their helmet is so old they can’t remember what model and whatnot so I’m turning to Reddit with a simple request… Can someone help me out building a solid box helmet? I don’t want to buy a warrior fatboy helmet because I don’t like how the shin strap is connected to the cage itself… does anyone have any set ups the really like? Specific cages? I want to use a Bauer or CCM helmet but idk if certain cages fit on them so if you have any recommendations or helmets for sale lmk! Any suggestions is helpful!!

Knowing that he's an NBA player he must have been really good at lacrosse to and probably could've had a solid career there. He barely plays and probably won't contribute a lot which makes me wonder if he could return to lacrosse.
I play d3 lacrosse and wanted to string my own traditional stick for my last year, just wondering if anybody has any tips or tricks or anything else that could help. I grew up watching John sexton so I wanted to emulate one of my favorite players a little bit
I played lacrosse for 15 years as a kid and moved on after college. I left all my old stuff from high school at my parents and they apparently tossed everything out. Don’t really care about most of it other than my stick. I can’t find it anywhere on the internet. It was a gold color titanium shaft that I believe was made by debeer, and I’m almost certain it was called the gorilla. Would love to buy one on eBay or wherever and whenever to so I could play with my son.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
