New car question!

I just bought a mp10 TKi2 roller and all the engines I want to get are out of stock and or out of my budget right now so I ordered a ke25sp2 will this be a good enough engine to race with until I can acquire the funds for a higher tier engine?

Mp10e part compatibility

Hello! I'm thinking of slowly getting into RC racing and plan to do so with the MP10e Readyset. My question is, what is the part compatibility for the Readyset version with the GP / Kit version of the MP10e buggy? Is it plausible to slowly build it into what the Kit version would be? Do upgrade parts work and fit across all MP10's?

I'm having trouble finding info on what is actually different between the Readyset and the GP, and what are the differences bet the TKI2 and TKI3

Thank you in advance!

Kyosho inferno Neo race spec

So after heavy thinking Ive decided I’m going to sell it if anyone is interested I have it listed on eBay and Facebook market place for $150 and if you want a transmitter and receiver I can throw in one of my spares for $50. It is a roller but all it needs is a motor and fuel lines.

Just got a Mad Van VE but it doesn't beep and throttle doesn't work

I connected a known good 2S Lipo battery from my Kyosho USA 1 VE and I can hear the fans go, but no beeping at all, and no throttle, but steering seems to work fine.

I guess I am going to send it back for a replacement, but is there anything worth trying first?

I've confirmed that ch1 and ch2 are firmly seated in the receiver and that all the wires look to be well seated and I see no damage to any of the wires. Nothing seems out of place from what I can see.

The battery is newly charged and known to work and the 4 AA batteries in the transmitter are good and were replaced with a second set just to be certain, it made no difference.

Any ideas?

Kyosho MP7.5 with LRP NITRO ENGINE ZR.28 SPEC.4 PULLSTART

Regards

I have a Kyosho Mp7.5 inferno with the ZR28 engine that I am currently building up.

I am having issues finding front and rear shocks for the buggy and I was wondering if MP9 shocks would fit if anyone has ever tried this before, I was also thinking a MP9 clear shell would fit aslong as I make some clean cuts. Any advice on this would be terrific.

Also what receivers and servo would be a good set up for around £100?

Thanks, Liam

Kyosho Double Dare 4WDS Car Crusher from 1989

This was my very first Kyosho RC car that I built in 1989. I could have bought the Clod Buster but wanted something a little bit different so chose this instead. Did it live up to expectations? Well, the twin motors meant it was very fast if you could keep it going in a straight line, but the suspension was terrible. I had to reinforce the plastic suspension mounting brackets with metal plates as they flexed so badly and the stock friction shocks were soon replaced with oil-filled dampers. Check out this vintage rarity in detail in the video below:

New to RC: huge question about differentials

Hello there! I'm getting my first Kyosho vintage buggy and i have some questions about differential stuff. I've seen that for outdoor and carpet two different diffs should be used: ball for outdoor and gear for carpet.

From what i've seen, to build a gear diff for Optima i need three different packages: OT224B, OT222 and OT256. When i build diff in this way do i need to fill it with any oil? Also, seems like this diff includes only 4 gears: 2 small one and 2 big one. This is because on and old variant? Does this diff enough to race on a carpet? Or it's worth that modern oil diffs? What's the difference? Maybe there is another way to build a gear diff for the Optima Mid?

And with outdoor racing. On which type of the surface i can run ball diff? Can in be used on concrete/grass/asphalt or it only can be used on sand/dirt? Can i, for instance, bring a car to a park with grass/sand surfaces and run it, or diff will be destroyed?

Broke my fazer mk2 driveshaft first day out

Got to use my new koyosho fazer mk2 wrc for about 5 minutes, until a pebble jammed under the driveshaft and snapped it in 2. I see alot of people say they've never broke a single thing on their fazer and treat em like bashers.. I must have terrible luck.
