A subreddit to discuss the upcoming television show 'Krypton' airing on SyFy.
Years before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel's home planet, Superman's grandfather, Seg-El, fights to redeem his family's honor after the House of El is ostracized and shamed over Seg's grandfather's false claims of a world-killer coming to Krypton.
When an attack on the government is attempted, Seg seizes an opportunity to advance himself and his family by allying with those who sentenced his grandfather to execution and destroyed his family's name but when evidence that his grandfather's claims were true is discovered, Seg must work within the system that discarded the House of El in order to protect their future legacy.

Help me James Gunn, you’re my only hope
Considering DC shows have been cancelled and revived later on, how likely do you think it is for us to get a revival of the series?
Young Justice was cancelled 3 times and still came back every time and managed to end on its own terms. So I have hope of a revival. Maybe on Max?
I recently rewatched Krypton and was wondering what the original timeline would've looked like. I know Brainiac succeeds in capturing Kandor with Seg being trapped there but do his parents survive? How are General Zod and Zor-El born? Would Brainiac still turn Ona into a bomb and succeed in killing Kem? How do you guys think the original timeline played out?
A scene written as a love letter for all the Nyssa x Seg-El fans. We fans all miss Krypton, and this one is for you guys! May not be good but I loved writing it. Hopefully it came out good too! Do review!! <3

S2E2. When he gets possessed by Brainiac. Adam notes how "[his] eyes are getting blacker by the second." I have not forgotten this. I forget if his eyes really are black during that scene, but DAYUMN...
I wish Seg didn't resist Vril's possession so he could be a sexy evil betrayer with black eyes and the Kryptonian version of Parallax!Hal or evil TOM 2.
I click the hollow pad the shuttle is ready then I set the timer I run upstairs to the living area a normal modern kryptonian look the hollow screen is on playing the news zod has seized the capital and is about to exacted the elders he places a gun to there head then I turn off the screen and look outside the police will be here any minute I look at the yard a nice nature filled area the grass is cut the purple trees trimmed the drive way cleaned it’s pretty long the property of are residents is very large the hover craft is still parked out front it needs changed I just drove it the garage gates are wide open and the lights are on showing my private skimmer then an empty spot we’re my father in laws hover craft would be but he’s in kandor watching the exaction the police will be here any minute so I hastily make my way upstairs and into Cal’s room Lara is holding him looking out the window far off in the distance are the lights of kandor I tell her it’s time and we move downstairs to the lab I place cal in the pod and me and Lara say are goodbyes and I hit the button sending him away Lara brakes down in tears and then through the windows of my lab I see them police ships looking through the windows I kiss Lara and run upstairs the officers bust through the door blasters in hand but before a word is said the house shakes the alarm goes off 20 seconds then outside lights start going out and lava and molten core blast from the ground Lara runs up we hug and then booooooom krypton is destroyed

I mean seriously. Everyone on the planet knew Braniac existed (or at least in the final episodes). They saw his face, saw his ship, and knew he was going to destroy the planet. Why wouldn't people just take a ship and leave Krypton? Or at the very least, leave Kandor City, regroup, and then leave Krypton later.
They only started leaving when Seg and the others pushed them to the exit, like there was a fire or something. If I were them, I would've left asap.
It might not be the show. But it would offer some kind of closure.
Supergirl has a father too. Zor-El. He and Jor-El are brothers. Which makes Superman and Supergirl cousins.
I wonder who his mother would have been?
I know I'm very much late to the party but like I have said in the title, I have just watched it and I loved it very much. I do have some bones to pick but nonetheless, I am very sad to see such a great show get killed off like that. Season 2 ended with so much cliffhangers and so much potential!
Brainiac still has Jor-El, Nyssa is in Rann, Seg-EL and Lobo teamed up, Dru-Zod still alive. The timeline now is very much messed up and that love triangle between Seg-El, Lyta-Zod, and Nyssa-Vex is equally so but I would have loved to see how all of it play out. There was so much potential. So much in store for it. I'm gosh darn late but I am very much sad and disappointed.
I know it has been months since its cancellation but is there still a way that this show gets picked up? man, this is such a good show. It such a waste that it got cancelled.
Hey Folks,
Last year I wrote a spec script for Krypton that never got used.
It's past its expiatory date now for me as a writing sample, but I figure you might get a kick out of reading it.
Hope you like it!
Why is the planet Krypton so inhospitable? It can't have always be this way. I think they mentioned some kind of cataclysm in the series, but what exactly happened? Why are there only a few cities left under domes? Why doesn't the planet look more like Earth with tons of plants and animals like it likely once had?
I'm sorry if I'm a bit behind most of you guys but this show has literally just finished where I live.
I was sad and surprised they axed it after only 2 series. I'm not asking why it was axed; I know it was due to disappointing viewing figures so my question is why do you guys think it wasn't more popular? To me it's got huge hit written all over it - it's based on the lore of the most iconic superhero (and as we know anything based on comics is in vogue right now) but it's different enough to the usual superhero fare that it can be enjoyed by someone who's not a big comic/Superman fan, most importantly the writing and acting is very good and it's just a quality show.
The worst thing for me was that it was cut off in it's absolute prime. The last couple of episodes were truly epic TV and at the end there were so many lose ends and potential for future storylines that I couldn't wait to see where it could go next. The least the show deserved was a proper ending.
What if the cancellation of Krypton is the first "casuality" of Crisis on Infinite Earths? The crossover between studios could then potentially bridge the gap for Krypton to be picked up by another DC studio, with the crossover remaining as a self-contained story (in which the planet is somehow saved) so Krypton could continue its current story arcs.
I have no proof or arguments as to why that would be the case. I doubt it will come to fruition, but I will keep my hope alive. After all, that's what the House of El stands for!
a tweet storm, sending sunstones to execs or flying a plane banner over a streaming HQ? is there a target platform? DCU, netflix, amazon, HBOMax?
anything planned at this point or has the wind gone out of folks sails and the cancellation is final and fixed as Krypton's imminent destruction?
