I randomly stopped by a vape shop and seen they had little packs of it. I got the red vein. Two different types: maeng da and Bali.
I have chronic pain due to a bone disease that affects my joints and has to replace both hips and repair a trimolear fracture and dislocation of my right foot and ankle.
A few years before I suffered from sciatica. It still kicks up sometimes.
Sadly... My daughter inherited my issues and has sciatic issues.
We made tea with the maeng da powder last night and I noticed it majorly improved both of our moods. I'm not sure about the pain to be honest... At least with myself because I'm on pain medication and I had taken some well before and my daughter wanted to try it lastnight instead of today.
What are some other ways to take it?
I'm thinking about ordering capsules to make it easier... But I'm open to ideas.
At least I've solved it for myself. Prunes did absolutely nothing for me, but now I've begun eating figs, and it works like a dream. I eat about five a day, and my system has never been happier. I really recommend it. It's very good for the body in general as well.
I’ve noticed on occasion that I’ll drink more alcohol after I’ve taken Kratom than I would have otherwise. Maybe because it lessens the effects so I’m chasing the feeling of being sociable and outgoing?
Anyone else have this happen?
I think we should advocate for passing legislation that says you can only label something as "kratom" if it's actually kratom.
These tablets are not fucking kratom. They are a novelty psychoactive drug and they are associating it with kratom to piggy back on kratoms safety record.
Kratom needs to distance itself from this bullshit.
There have been a few discussions about the use of kratom for adhd and I have to say that for ne, it can be counterproductive so I am looking at titrating to an effective dose.
To do that I would love to know if you have been diagnosed, do you have regular adhd meds (type and dosage) and have you used kratom in conjunction or instead and what was the effective dose you use? If it doesn't help or makes it worse please share that as well.
I will go first: 5 years use of kratom. Have Vyvanse 15mg and buboprion 300XR. 10g with morning coffee, 10g with lunch coffee, usually another 10 around 5-6 pm.
Generally seems to add to my adhd if the Vyvanse is in my system. Thinking of having the dosages to see what happens and will report back but am genuinely interested in your experiences. Yes, I know, anecdotes are not data...
Yes, I’m aware this post has been made 1000 times. I just wanted to come and give my experience (and a pat on the back).
I was taking 24 GPD (4g x 6x per day) for a year-ish. When that stopped working and I was growing more irritable in between doses, I forced myself to cut down to 4g 5x per day. Recently that stopped working blah blah blah, so again, I lowered to 4g 4x per day.
The first few days adjusting dosages is always kind of meh. Mostly boredom and fighting off the craving.
However, once you become a bit more accustomed to the lower dosage, your body feels better, your doses feel better, and all around you just feel good. My goal is to get to one morning dose and one evening. I feel that is the sweet spot for me to keep this plants magic well, magicing.

Hey guys, I’ve done all the general research on this topic, but I want to know if anyone has any advice specific to my situation. I live in TN and get adhd medication through a primary care. In TN, the primary care is required by law to drug test me every 3 months to continue prescribing me my meds. I use kratom daily and I’ve read online that kratom can’t flag on 5 panel drug tests, but I’ve also read that it can create false positives on 10 panel test, finally I read that they can only see it on a test specific to kratom. I don’t really know which to believe? I don’t even know what test my doctor will use? Does anyone have any information in this field? Perhaps anyone that is also prescribed ADHD meds and takes kratom? Idk. Any and all help/advice is greatly appreciated
I recently saw a post on here about Kratom and alcohol, in which I found all the responses and other people’s experiences really interesting. I am new to this community and have used kratom a few times in the past, but am new to taking it daily, which I have been doing for about a week and a half. I started using kratom to lessen the effects of anxiety from alcohol withdrawal syndrome and to get off of benzodiazepines(Xanax) which I initially used for the physical withdrawal of alcohol (delirium tremens). The problem is that, I have noticed that if I take more than a couple capsules, or even take a shot of kratom extract, it makes me look like crap. My face becomes puffy and swollen. I do get a bit sick and nauseous as well and makes me a bit numb which I don’t love, but it’s the swelling that gets me. I am now thinking about going back to alcohol and slowly taper down instead of choosing kratom, because of these effects. Has anyone else had this experience? By the way I have been almost 4 weeks alcohol free, but the anxiety is debilitating and I don’t want to take Xanax all the time. I just don’t want to look like crap from taking what seems to be a normal amount of kratom. Anything I can do to combat the swelling? I drink green tea everyday, drink plenty of water, I used a diuretic yesterday which did seem to help, I also take anti inflammatory supplements such as boswelia root extract and am very healthy otherwise as far as diet and exercise.
Was wondering if anyone has ever gained weight with daily kratom use. I was using split doses up to 8 to 12 g per day total. For context i soak the powder in grape fruit juice and drink it bc i can't figure out how to drink it as a tea.
Anyway after a 2 week clean break due to covid o lost like 6 lbs, don't know from the break from kratom or the covid or who knows. Obviously did not exercise. Otherwise even if i do exercise i can't lose weight. Might actually ingesting the powder itself maybe lead to weight gain and i should try "brewing" it? Can also confirm clothes fit well again so smaller body size.
Bonus q does anyone know of kratom can raise seratonin levels? For me this side bars.

I've been taking ~4g of kratom recreationally once or twice a week for a few years. About a month ago I took my usual 4g dose and went about my day.
Later that night around 3 am I started to have a reaction on my back. It ended up being pretty severe hives that I attributed to poison ivy. That same day I was working in my back yard and left my hoodie on a wooden post in the woods, which I later put back on after taking a shower (I forgot it was outside all day).
The hives spread around my back and even a week later new spots were appearing on my stomach. It's now been ~3 weeks and they are pretty much all gone. The fact that they were still appearing a week after makes me think it was definitely poison ivy and not related to the kratom. I had no other symptoms (swelling, etc) besides the hives.
I'm 90% sure the reaction was from the poison ivy (my girlfriend got a few scattered bumps too) but I can't be 100%.
Is there any way to test if it was the kratom? Either my pricking my skin or taking a very low dose? I know allergies can pop up any time but it seems very bizzare to me as it's never happened before.
Question is in title. When I wake up, I always take a huge dump. Turd is always solid and long. About an hour later, I have to poop again and it’s mushy. Then later in the day it goes back to normal.
Anyone have experience with kratom tea? The ordinary sort, sifted and all that. Is the onset longer or shorter than for powder? Or about the same?

Its extremely consistent. Almost every single morning for the first 6 hours or so kratom makes me either immediately pass out, or extremely nauseous with no euphoria. After those hours late at night kratom feels great.
Does anyone experience the same and know why? Thanks
Does it make sense to take agmatine sulfate on off days (4 days per week) if I only take kratom 3 days a week to keep tolerance as low as possible?
I've noticed a strange effect with kratom and alcohol.
When actively using kratom and drinking at the same time I notice that the alcohol immediately makes me feel hungover and awful with no positive effects whatsoever, almost as though I'm taking disulfiram. When I'm in kratom withdrawal the complete opposite happens and the alcohol feels extra good compared to what it does when I'm not using or actively using kratom.
Have any of you experienced this? I did some searching and couldn't find anyone else who wrote about this effect and it could possibly only be something that happens to me.
Hi all,
I am experimenting with different types and blends of kratom and have had very different experiences depending on the type. I am hoping I can describe what i liked and didnt like about different varieties and yall more experienced connoisseurs can help me connect the dots and come up with some details about why i liked certain varieties so I can know what to try next and what to avoid. So far, I have tried red hulu, green hulu, and a blend of green / white that doesn't have an informative description about the blended varieties. I have been taking doses of 3-5g once in a day.
With both the red and green hulu, i found that I can only take those for 2 days in a row before this unpleasant anxiety, irritability, and lack of energy/motivation starts to impede my ability to function professionally and socially. In the evenings after a morning dose, my mind is cloudy and i have no motivation to do anything active. Even on that 3rd day early on in the day, and especially later in the day as the dose wears off, the anxiety and irritability is very unpleasant. After taking these for 2 days in a row, i can pretty much count on the next 1-2 days without it being depressed / recovering and not wanting to leave the house. My personal opinion from the way they effect me is that the positives do not outweigh the negatives for these varieties.
Now the white / green blend on the other hand was a different story. Mild anxiety/irritability comes in short waves early in the day, is not present towards the end of the day, but instead there is a nice sort of afterglow. In the evenings after taking a morning dose, my mind is still clear and I still have energy to be active. I can also take this blend several days in a row without the negative effects described with the red / green hulus. I can take this for about a week in a row with very little negative feeling in the following days after i stop taking it. As I am typing this, i am on the 2nd day without taking it following 2 weeks of daily use. These two days have been rough, but i can tell tomorrow I will be nearly back to baseline. I will put a 1 week cap on consecutive days going foward with 2-3 days in between and see how that goes. With those guidelines, I think the positives outweigh the negatives for this blend.
For you more experienced kratom users, how can i avoid the anxiety, irritability and loss of motivation? What is it about the green / white blend that does it for me? Is it a dosage thing, maybe 3-5g of all green hulu is too much, but blending with white knocks it down somehow? Is it certain alkaloid profiles that make for such a drastic difference in experience? Please let me know if yall have any information or advice I can use to choose varieties or blends that will give me a positive experience. Ultimately, i'd love to know what to look for as i find my preferred varieties/blends and what to avoid. Thank you.
If I use 4-6g of powder normally, if I make tea and strain it, should I use 8-12g to get the equivalent?
Has anyone’s Kratom tolerance changed overnight? For example one day I took my normal dose and literally nothing happened. This had never happened. It was on an empty stomach like usual. Then I ate about 2 hrs later and it hit me right after I ate. Since then sometimes it hits me like it normally does and other times it won’t hit me until I eat (sometimes 3-4 hours later). This has now been happening for about a year.
Now I have another strange thing happening. Some days I can take my morning dose and nothing happens then I take my afternoon dose and nothing happens then at dinner time It hits me all at once. (This happens 1-2 times a week) Is my body just metabolizing it differently?
Whenever I roam this sub, there are countless people always talking about how one day, kratom will be "inevitably banned", & most seem to have a pretty pessimistic view for the future of this plant. & don't get me wrong, I understand why people feel this way, considering all of the awful stuff we are always hearing in the media & whatnot. But I just wonder, does anyone here feel the opposite? That even though we may continue to see some local/county bans, that kratom will remain largely legal in most places (in the US)? Or is it pretty agreed upon that we are f**ked lol
Edit: You know it's funny, I asked if anybody felt differently from the majority of people who feel a ban is inevitable but got replies mostly from..People who feel a ban is inevitable haha (which is fine, the more the merrier). So I guess that answers my question. Damn I wish there wasn't so much pessimism but again, I get why there is.
Also, I know most of us don't foresee a federal ban. That's definitely unlikely. I was Moreso asking how people felt about the potential for more states to ban.
Last night I was lucky enough to get some custom local pickles and I had a few of them after my usual teaspoon + Kratom & it seemed to make it feel pretty intense. Much more than usual. Has anyone else tried this? I’m going to try it again with my evening dose. Happy little coincidence maybe!
I mainly take White Kratom for my ADHD. It works wonders but after two or three days feels like it does nothing to me. Maybe my brain is just wired differently.
Is red Bali the strongest red strain?
I am trying to taper slowly from a 6-7 month multiple times daily habit. I used to take 2 heaping teaspoons every 4-7 hours minus sleeping overnight. I measured with my heart and did a bigger dose before bed so some days I likely took more than others. I immediately cut that in half and I do a single teaspoon and I’m trying to stretch my doses until I feel like I’m gonna jump out of my skin. Last night I had to dose uncharacteristically in the middle of the night because I was so restless. My question: will this new dose start to have the same effect that 2 had once my body gets used to it? One teaspoon at best just gets rid of the withdrawal symptoms but sometimes I still feel halfway like I’m in withdrawal. But I’m fighting not to go back up. Will this dose ever feel “good”? I would like to be totally off of it in 3 weeks and take a T break. But cold turkey seems to be out of the question.

It’s one thing to intervene in the lives of those who are incapable of making reasoned choices or stand to be harmed by the actions of others BUT it is entirely different when someone assumes they know best for everyone and just makes dictates that affect others merely because someone made a large donation to their campaign.

FWIW: daily kratom user for 14+ years and this mornings kratom was just as “nice” as 14 years ago … matter of fact, nearly every dose is just as nice as my first.

Everything I’ve read indicates that Kratom is considered a cheap commodity in Thailand. What do Thai people think about Americans putting it in nice packaging and the whole “artisan Kratom” thing? I appreciate Kratom, but seeing it available as cheap as $25 a kilo wholesale (when in bulk obviously) makes me wonder is the $25 kilo and $120 kilo are the same product packaged differently.
First time user I just got a bottle of gold crayon from my local head shop and I just wanted to know how much I should take for a good dose for my first time. Also, what should I expect and or will there be any other side effects? I should just be weary about so I know.
