I personally enjoyed the show. Yeah, I didn't laugh at all the jokes, but with every show, you won't laugh at everything. I got bored sometimes with some of the episodes, but I wouldn't call it bad. I thought the animation was good and I liked the premise of the show. I wouldn't call it a great show, but I wouldn't call it bad. Others say people are too harsh on new content, and that's fine. Everybody has their own opinions. Personally, I would like to see more of the show and see where it could go. Please share what you liked and didn't like with me I am curious as to why so many people didn't enjoy the show.
(This is my first post please don't be cruel)
While I haven’t thought of the entire main episode plot. Nor the side plot. I figured that they could have an episode where through boredom or something stupid, Hermaphroditus, the God of androgeny, cast a “spell” (or something like that) on Krapopolis and basically anywhere under Olympus because they were not in Olympus. And have everyone, including the main family, especially Deliria, wake up with their genders swapped but aside from that their personalities haven’t changed. Tyrannis isn't exactly comfortable in this body and Deliria couldn't change her new masculine appearance (nor anyone else’s for that matter, because Herma (I think they’ll be named if they were in the show but idk) would be given that power and is the only one who could change them back). So she and Ty go find Herma which wasn't that hard to do because they were nearby for some reason. They tell them that they ‘accidentally’ turned them and everyone else in Krapopolis a gender opposite to them. And, because they were in a good mood, Herma agreed to change them back. But because of Tyrannis being Tyrannis—Even in the body of a woman—He offended Herma, and that made them not want to change them back and say along the lines of “tough titties.” And the episode goes on with everyone dealing with the change, with most being flexible and not caring (especially Stupendous), because “on-the-nose commentary.” And have it end with Tyrannis finally except his fate as a woman, then the next day he wakes up to find that he and everyone else is back to their original genders. Because Herma wanted to prove that no matter what gender you are, you’ll still be you. Even the whiniest. Like I said, I haven’t thought this in its entirety. And mostly on their genderswapped voice headcanons. My best being Ayo Edebri taking place for female Tyrannis and then ending with Richard Ayoade when he’s back to a man. I'm open to constructive criticism. So feel free to add in ideas, to flesh this episode out (or something like that). Like I said, just an idea. That might suck.
For me, being a myth nerd and nut, I was drawn instantly to the lore, the fact it takes place in my second favorite country and that it really reminds me quite a bit of ‘History of the World’.
Is it because he is trying to force conceits they are unfamiliar with (like democracy) on them? Or something else?
Do you think the city would have worked with 2 inventors? I was pretty mad when they didn't take the little goat dude with them lol
I just started watching this yesterday, no issues. I went to continue watching it last night and it wasn’t there. I went on my phone and it wasn’t there either. I’m in America, but had to connect to a separate United States VPN on my phone in order for it to show up. If I disconnect the vpn, it disappears from Netflix. wtf (TV can’t connect to vpn and I want to watch it there)
Rewatching first season on Netflix and noticed it’s missing a bunch of punchy dog jokes without the subtitles in episode two. Am I Mandela Effected or were there dog speak closed captions before?
Krapopolis season 1 is now available on Netflix US. Back to rewatching my comfort show!!
I'm german, and i see some youtube clips of this show appear for roughly a year now. But there is no way of streaming this show in germany at all? Normally a show gets translated either immediately after the show airs or at some point before season 2. but not with this show?
Krapopolis broadcast season 1 episodes release tomorrow, January 15. Grimsburg season 1 episodes release Wednesday, February 5.
I have a crush on him . genuinely I love his character and I don't get how they made it so no female likes him💔 I'd go crazy on him
Where is the offical release schedual? I thought an episode was supposed to air today.
Can you tell Im neurodivergent and am stuck in the 2010s yet?
I don’t get why it’s not more popular… it seems like it won’t get another season
I admit it: I'm a bit of a cartography nerd and a Krapopolis fan. I was thrilled to see an episode with mapmakers. I liked the episode, but I thought there could have been more jokes about frustrations with maps. We could have seen more jokes comparing the frustrations with maps then to our frustrations with apps like Apple Maps and Waze today. I think we should have more mapmaking episodes. What do you guys think?
My family is frightened that we will see the end of the world if we don’t buy Prophecy Duck merch NOW! Yet there appears to be no Prophecy Duck Merch!!! Tell me fellow Krapopolites where might we find that sweet PD merch?!
Some more Krapopolis fanart. Deliria is my ultimate fave, but I love him, Hippo, Schlub and Stupendous.
Starting mid-February, Family Guy will air at 8, Grimsburg at 8:30, Great North at 9, and Krapopolis will stay at 9:30.
My wife and I are catching up on the season. We went back and reread all the song titles after watching the episode tonight. (Happy New Year!) Anyone have them in list or meme form?
So I don’t know why but I would love a Knife Hawk t-shirt. Reminds me of growing up with the logo shirts.
The time loop scenario was very satisfying to watch and I kept wanting to see a solution to how it would be solved. Yet, Ultimately we were left with an unanswered story.... It's odd how I both loved and hated this episode for how it ended. I guess what I'm saying is.... Ummmm? 🧐🤔🤔 Merp.
Definitely one of my favorite ways they infuse humor into the show. That is all.
I don't know how this happened but I was watching Dungeon & Dragons: Honor among thieves on Netflix and suprsingly I hear voices that sounded like they were from Krapopolis
For Example: Pam Murphy who voices Stupendous sounded like Michelle Rodriguez who acts as Holga.
Or Matt Berry who voices Shlub sounds like Regé-Jean Page who acts as Xenk.
I could be wrong here but I need ya'lls opinion about this.
Season 2, Episode 9: Enter Prophecy Duck
Airdate: Dec 15, 2024; 9:30pm ET/PT
Synopsis: There's a new king in town - the Rug King. Horrible timing for a prophecy foretelling of Tyrannis' downfall. Stupendous tries to get deep with Deliria.
