I'm making this post to express one of my concerns regarding the masterstrike system of KCD 2.
This is a little thing that I've noticed that I haven't really seen anyone talk about. As we all know, one of the MAJOR issues with the first game's masterstriking system was that every single enemy was able to masterstrike you, didn't matter if it was a peasant or a knight.
Now, with the new game it was stated multiple times by Warhorse that the master strike frequency has been toned down and made harder to execute, also now not every single enemy will be able to master strike, BUT I'm a little concerned about the "not every single enemy will be able to" part, because after re-watching the gameplay showcase released in August, there is a little detail that makes me worried.
After our good lad Henry is done messing around in Kuttenberg, we can see him finding an old ruin that is occupied by bandits. He then takes out 2 bandits stealthily and then finds the "alchemist" inside the ruin. After missing the crossbow shot, he fights him, and we can see from that fight that the alchemist was actually able to master strike Henry.
Maybe I don't have enough knowledge about medieval history, and if that's the case I apologize, but should a random alchemist with a sword be able to master strike? Like, this is not a knight in plate armor, it's a random bandit alchemist with a sword.
This makes me worried about the amount of enemies that WILL actually be capable of master striking us, simply because that was one of the major issues with KCD 1's combat.
Let me know what you guys think about this :)
I went into a drunken oblivion and woke up in the attic of the bakery in Rattay. Where are some of the weirdest places y'all have woken up? Sorry the picture is horrible, but wanted to share.
Is this a bug? Never had this happen before.
My conspic. stat has a red +54 on it but I can't find anywhere what is increasing it. I wish there was a way to see how the stat is composed. I'm dirty and drunk, so possibly that? I'm dressed in all black.
So, i have a playthrough which its last save is broken. When i tried to load the broken save while i was playing a non-broken save it showed me that "Game load failed" screen which is pretty ok. However, I was kind of able to play it. It let me to walk around and punch stuff. I could open inventory, map atc. But I wasn't able to press "e" because it would take me to main menu. Later on, as you see in the video I loaded the non-broken save and suddenly the lights went out :D And it's stuck now all my other saves are really dark.
I'm currently playing through the game for the first time on a hardcore save and am trying to keep the pacing of the story and sidequests relatively in line with the overall plot. I don't wanna ignore a super urgent seeming quest to go and do random videogame stuff that wouldn't make sense to do at that time, I've been trying to fit them into times at which it seems Henry has more time to go and do side quests. At what point do you guys think would be the best to do the DLC from a storywise point of view? More specifically I'm not sure if it makes more sense for Henry to complete the From the Ashes DLC during the endgame or during the main story. Thanks for the help!
I am about to write three exams tommorow (which I dont have idea of what these are about) but still I feel relaxed and happy playing Kingdom Come, I just focus on the music and voices of the woods while riding a horse and feel relaxed :)
I played the game on release and really enjoyed the first 15 hours of it. But then the game became too easy as I leveled up, so I got bored and dropped the game. I watched some reviews from 6 years ago and they all agree that KCD has some balancing issues. Have those issues been fixed yet? I really want to get back into this game.
Kcd 1 is a dream and the best game I ever played (or lets add "in the last 6 years" - Kotor still has a place in my heart)
My humble suggestions for Kcd 2:
Musicians:
The music in Kcd is great. However in one of my nights in the pub playing dice it struck me - there is all this great music but it is playing just for me - what about the NPCs craving for entertainment? There could be musicians at the pubs - being locals or travelling musicians. Maybe there would also be bigger celebrations at the pubs or cities which are announced some days ahead in the pubs or at the city halls.
Crafting Items:
Especially in Kcd 1 I would have thought that as a son of a blacksmith you could actually use the forge to create items - with an own minigame and an own related skill. At the forges around the map you could then ask the blacksmiths to use their forge and learn recipes from them. Maybe through a side quest line one blacksmith wants to travel away or go to pension and then sells their forge to you.
Owning property:
Likewise with the forge there would also be ways to acquire a pub and a bathing house (Who would not love to own those) For which you would need to find employees and then these assets would generate a bit of passive income.
Standard Dialogue Options:
With all NPCs you could have some standard dialogue options - e.g. How are you? What bothers you?
Skill related options: Talk about Repair with a blacksmith, Fighting with a warrior, Speech with a merchant.
Topic related options: Politics War Women Alcohol (These are status related- so a noble would be more likely to talk about politics and war - except you are at pub and he gets drunk, while a simple peasant would reply better to talking about Women and Alcohol)
The skill and topic related options would'nt necessarily need some actual dialogue just the opening Henry: "Lets talk about politics" Positive status check NPC: "I would love to share my opinion..." Screen blacks out shortly Reputation improved
For these times you end up in a pub with random strangers or meet old friends somewhere and you just want to talk a bit with them - also when there is no quest available. This would grant a bit of reputation with the NPC and be entered through a standard dialogue option "Talk..." A guard or worker at daytime would then mostly reply with "I don't have time right now" or with "I have to much to do now but you can find me at the pub in the evening" Maybe you would also have sometimes the option to reply to a negative answer "How about meeting at the pub in the evening - I will buy you a drink" - if the NPC agrees, he will show up in the pub in the evening and be able to talk to- if you don't show up, you will loose some reputation with this NPC.
At a pub you could also have the option "Lets have a drink" Which costs like 5 Groschen and the NPC will get a bit more drunk- if he agrees. Like this you could make a noble talk about women to improve the reputation with him or even get someone to pass out Henry: "Lets have a drink" NPC: "I have had enough, I will go home" Henry: "Come on, just one more" Positive speech check NPC passes out or starts a fight and ends up arrested by guards.

Hey,
my girlfriend homemade this KCD themed advent calendar for me (it's not for sale, she likes to hand make presents with a theme).
If you like it I will be sharing the gifts I get once per day.
Let's start with a Farkle leather cup and dices.
Found the Horse of my Liegelord in a place it shouldn't be....
I think i am in a lot of trouble....
I had waited to purchase the pc version of the collectors edition and now they are all sold out, is there anyone who would be willing to buy a console collectors edition and sell me the parts that are separate from the game itself? Or perhaps I can buy a console collectors edition and sell the game later? Any suggestions on where I can find a pc version would be greatly appreciated!
Currently in the middle of my seventh playthrough and just wanted to share some stuff I found out in the game and also some wishes for the next one. Hope this is helpful to someone.
All the best to Warhorse for the upcoming game and to all the Henrys waiting for it.
I think this game actually hates me.
Let me elaborate.
I can't get into a fight without being gangbanged, I can't leave anywhere because I get jumped, I can't put on good armor without dropping my bones because I need the weight, I can't get into a good fight and heal immediately afterwards because of the sleep cap. But I love this game so much, it's the exact thing I've been asking for. Lovely game, very realistic and immersive
So I bought the game recently because it was on discount on steam. I wasn’t expecting it to run smoothly or anything but it has gone to the point where it is completely unplayable. Through all the graphics settings I have noticed that it always has stutters and that the fps is not stable. However, this does not bother me, the problem is that every 5-10 minutes I always have crashes, either the game crashes or my graphics card drivers crashes. Only twice I have had the dxgi_error_device_hung error show up.
I have never had this problem with any games before and I have no idea what else to do to fix it. I disabled any overclocks and also followed a couple of posts online that suggested on running the .exe in compatibility mode for windows 7 and as administrator. My drivers are up to date. The crashes keep happening randomly and I am not sure what else to do, is this a common problem with a solution or am I just fucked? I would appreciate any input.
My specs: Ryzen 5600x Amd 7800xt 16gb ram Everything runs on SSDs Windows 11 And game runs in 1440p on a 165hz display
Who else looked up if its possible to play a flute without a tongue after the cutscene in Band of Bastards where Stone is playing the flute? LOL
Waited in the pantry for like 15 min like all the posts suggest but I still get caught by the western shaft. Any ideas?
I just collected everything your dad needs to make the sword.
I got 10 goal Sword cross guard Ale I took the tools back and gave them back to the dad
But now when I approach him, all I can say "I don't have everything yet"
Do I need to sword train first for some reason?
If it makes any difference, I also throw shit at that guy's house. And I also have the quest option to meet that dudes after we ran away
Thanks in advance for the help!

I've made it 4 hours into this game, finally found my first real bout of combat only to die and lose 30 minutes of progress because my mouse cursor wanders to my second monitor every time I look right and tabs me out when I click to attack. Please tell me there's a fix for his horrendous problem because the game is literally unplayable with this issue,

The attack where I scouted it and were going in with all the men. I don't have any good armor, weapon or skills. I began to doubt if I was doing it right and watched a video of the attack on the camp and the guy doing it had sweet armor and high archery. Took out tons of enemy and all the archers. Then beat the monster from the beginning.
I can barely beat anybody in a fight so far. Should I have been higher level/skill to do this?
