Let's all renew our vows... I'm going to come here every 5th of the month to remind everyone that Shelley Chalker is alive. ππππ₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³ Shelly Miscavige not so much ... πͺπͺππ keep laughing y'all.. Gretchen is watching.
Everytime someone cry-laughed in the show, which is basically just Mimi and Deidre one time. It was a shame we didn't see much of Deidre...

I DONT HAVE ANY PIZZA! Thatβs it thatβs the whole post I just love this line and Titus attempt to cover up the pizza when kimmy walks in
I love that they got Matt Lauer to say "It always amazes me what women will do to avoid seeming rude."
There's no way this was done unknowingly.
There was an episode where Kimmy (or someone) referred to a play, and Titus commented under his breath, "When it has songs, we call it a musical." Can anyone remember this? I have a bet with my wife about what he actually said.
I'm curious if anyone else enjoys this little detail as much as I do. In the show Friends, Phoebe gets the honor of naming one of the triplets she carries, and her first choice is Cougar. Lisa Kudrow plays her, and Kimmy's mom in UKS, and Kimmy's middle name is Cougar. If this was an accident its a great one, and if not I love it even more, and wanna know whose idea it was. I just love it!
Some people know that this episode is a spoof on Scientology. When I first watched it I was a Scientologist and was creeped out/offended by the similarities. A few months later, I left the cult.
Here is what itβs a play on: Cruise ship (Freewinds is a ship owned and operated by Scientology where they deliver seminars, courses, and counseling)
Belief in mind powers (postulates)
Lizard people or lotion peopleβ¦the napkin got wet (books have been updated and revised because the original was supposedly altered in some way and they have now been βcorrectedβ)
Galvanic machine with a dial (e-meter)
The book displayed βFoundations, Unlock Your Hidden Potentialβ looks just like the Scientology βBasic Books,β the artwork is so similar.
The picture on the deck of the cruise ship looks exactly the same a promotional pics of Scientologyβs Freewinds
βLawless safety of international watersβ LRH notoriously took to the ocean to run his organization while he was running away from legal issues.
It shows a beautiful cabin and then a disgusting one that looks like a jail cell. That represents the living conditions of the paying public versus the staff who work there.
The testimonial against the green screen with the poppy music is so much like Scientologyβs promo videos.
The cruise leaves in β24 hours, right on time for the Founderβs 800 birthday.β (Everything is buy-now in Scientology, so it makes sense theyβd expect you to get on a ship with such short notice. Also, LRHs birthday is one of the biggest events/celebrations of the year.)
If youβve read this far, thanks for reading my dissection! I also strangely relate to Kimmyβs character. I think sheβs awesome and quirky and optimistic and persistent.
I like how she doesnβt know things that most people know, because sometimes I feel like that. But sheβs also a happy person who means well, and I think Iβm like that too.
If Kimmy is your doppelgΓ€nger, hollaaaa!!!
Woowoo!!
