Killjoys follows a trio of hard-living bounty hunters - Dutch, John, and D'avin - who work for the Reclamation Apprehension Coalition (RAC) in a four planet star-system known as "The Quad."
With their pasts coming back to haunt them, the trio will have to work hard to keep themselves, and their friends, alive.
Wiki:
Black Warrant - A type of warrant issued by the RAC in which the subject will be terminated during the warrant's execution. Also known as a kill warrant or Level 5 warrant.
Hullen - A species of plasma-based parasitic aliens bent on infesting humans and conquering The J.
Joy - Slang for money.
Killjoy - Slang for a bounty hunter or RAC agent.
RAC - The Reclamation Apprehension Coalition is an organization of bounty hunters ("killjoys") that work together in a system of governance to execute warrants in return for payment. There are at least five levels of killjoys; only Level 5 may serve Black Warrants.
The J - The J Star Cluster, which contains a large number of colonized star systems, including The Quad.
The Quad - A four-planetoid colonized star system consisting of the planet Qresh and its three moons Arkyn, Leith, and Westerly. The Quad is the initial setting of Killjoys.
Warrant - Killjoys are contracted by the RAC to execute warrants, which are designated from level 1 to 5. Only a killjoy with a matching or higher level may take on the corresponding warrant. The warrant levels are as follows: 1. reclamation warrants, 2. transfer warrants, 3. apprehension (live) warrants; 4. apprehension (dead or alive) warrants, and 5. apprehension (dead) warrants.

hi this is a simple question but how do you identify the episode?
it never shows the episode name... like for instance, season 1 episode 7 "kiss kiss, bye bye" - that title i don't think is ever shown anywhere. not during the opening or closing credits.
is there any way to see the name of the episode without going to google or imdb?
Been trying to go back and watch this show But cant find it ro stream any suggestions where i could find it ?
Anything interesting or cool I should pay attention to?
Watching the 1st season in the context of only that season there is are definitive changes that were made to what they had set up for. For example- every time klein was injured he bled red blood- also true for the one other revealed level six when he literally bled all over dutch. the entire plot behind the green liquid computer and what did become a living organism is shown to be a technology based system. There is a depiction from the decoded files showing what exists as a level six being a multi spiral DNA strand composed of bio tech- and not some green goop monster. The change in the intro from the first season and the other four is the most obvious shift in perspective but truly I believe something happened between season 1 and two wherein the writers original plans were altered. for what purpose would a unmarked military ship have a nanobot torture device that rebuilds as it destroys - while searching for red 17 if the point is to find subjects of red 17 ie level 6'rs wherin they themselves can regenerate? - why would a similar military faction be developing brain augmentation devices (davin) if they considered their threat to be magic goop monsters. If anything being outfitted with brain augmentation and the nanobots in a connected procedure would have aligned towards fighting the green on equal terms, but it lacking this- shows a potential different direction that the show was going into. If the point was to take over a level 6 with brain device then the problem becomes having a level 6 be unconscious and be operable alluding to the problem of operation on an organism that can regenerate. The show ended up using the brain device as a means of combating the green but if this were the case then it wouldve effected klein when davin was fighting him in season 1- the season where everyone bled red and not green. Final argument- why would klein use a cerebral spinal fluid based device to connect his perception with dutch if the green is already connected to his conscious thereby connecting dutch to the green by translation, which was something he tried very hard to avoid in later seasons. And lets not forget the bomb- the genetic bomb that literally would kill every green level six in the universe if the company had developed the weapon to be a relative halo ring, yet klein seemed relatively annoyed at the devices existence rather than (a) acknowledge its potential to take down opposing green faction or (b) acknowledge its potential as a threat to himself.
This has been my rant- anyone who has made it this far, you are fantastic.
I am fine with buying them individually but I wanted your guy's experience with buying them. this one I found on Amazon seems to be a little fishy but if it works it works. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082LCMXKC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

never get tired of the show, Well written and directed. lost count how many times Ive watched it.
Days are gone for good shows it seams (well rare).
In episode 2x06 I think. Where she tried to kill that dude with poison.
It's been a long time since I watched but wondering if anyone knows.
(Right off the back I’d like to apologize if I misspelled any of the in universe names)
Ok so I’ve been catching up on Killjoys, I’m rewatching it all and I noticed that in season two: the wall identifies Pree as a “Warlord” which we find out about it later. While watching I had a thought, why did Jelco let a freaking “Warlord” into Old town? Like sure he’s newly promoted and formerly in-charge of interrogations/torture but he doesn’t even hesitate for a second letting him in after Dutch escapes from her restraints. Like the only three reasons i could think would be: A. He’s there to break Old Town’s spirit, make an example of them and make them beg for the Companies favor again. So I guess he wagers letting a warlord in could hasten the process and make things worse as he builds a criminal underworld. B. He/the Company doesn’t care about this former warlord turned bartender and he hasn’t committed any crimes recently and he’s like eh he’s good. C. He just doesn’t care and is just enjoying the perks of the job. After all half the shit he does is shady as f*#k, like there’s no way he got permission to strap a bomb to a Saya (Potter) like that. Cause last I checked the 9 would be killing everyone possible who was remotely or loosely connected with that, just to make the point of “don’t go thinking you’re free to disrespect us like that.”
Like besides Dutch’s half-ass we’re here on a warrant and we’re gonna give our friend a ride home, she doesn’t really make a good argument for letting Pree in. In addition according to the dialogue for when the Fairen are introduced (when Pree was a Warlord) he left, then got some papers/new name, hopped on a freighter ship to Westerly and ended up in Old Town. This means at no time did he ever serve time for his crimes, so like with most criminals he should have a RAC warrant, they even say it in the criminal casino the episode before “searching for warrants in active criminal databases” and he got a hit. So there’s no way they just kinda ignored an actual Warlord and let him go on his way right? The only way is at some point in time he gave up info for his freedom but then why did the wall flag him under his warlord identity? Like I know creatively this was just a way to introduce Jelco and he needed a reason to talk to the trio but it’s just interesting to think about.
Sorry for the rambling, what do you think?
Looking for songs or playlists that gives Killjoys vibes
I know this subreddit is kinda dead so idk if anyone will see this but…
I’m nearing the end of season 3 but we’ve already seen that the genetic bombs (the bomb that kills anyone within the same family but nothing else) work against the hullen and since they are made by the company, can’t they just produce a bunch and use it to wipe out all the hullen?
Like it’s the easiest way to wipe them out, just stick a bit of green goo on it and then activate the bomb
So I've just reached S4E4, and Johnny is infected with the plasma.
He is obviously a danger to himself and others, but all they have done to him is handcuffed and put a dog leash around his neck.
I'm at the scene where he has just broken his neck.
Anybody with an ounce of intelligence, would have had him sedated, so he doesn't bang his head, break his neck, etc.
To think there are supposedly so many intelligent people on the ship including the AI, Lucy (the ship itself), no one can think of this simple solution to have him sedated so no harm comes to himself or others.
Sometimes I wonder what writers think when they come up with such dumb plot lines? 🧐
After watching complete series there still one question about D'avin i have. When we were first shown the hidden ships of sixes, something was controlling D'avin to go to the blind cultists. What was it?
Seen the series many times, just finished it again and love that theirs still stuff I missed.
Saw this for the first time, thought it was the Cast Poster, then thought maybe Guardians of the Galaxy, but still does not fit.
Update.
Great Thanks for the Info. Was driving me crazy lol.
I'm hoping some of you might like to help out a fellow Killjoys fan. My research project is looking at fan engagement around women-centered sci-fi TV. I'd love to interview any women fans here about why you love the show and your involvement as a fan. I've also got a survey you can take. Let me know if anyone is willing!
Halfway through season 2 and can I just say...of all the shows on my watch later list, I am so thrilled I chose this one. And that I have 3.5 seasons left! We truly live in the golden age of television. Everything is just SO GOOD. The story, the script, the characters...sitting here alone in my office laughing my ass off and just had to share. So excited for all the goodness I know is coming.
Thanks for reading my happy vent!
Also anybody have more from the religion/ old word? Or can tell me what about based the religion/ old word ?
I’ve never finished the series, but I’ve watched 1-4 a while ago. Found the show on VRV again and decided to just jump into season five.
All the stuff with the green and the lady are pretty distant memories, but who cares this show is perfect.
Just perfect. There should be more sci-fi with this tone.
(very slight spoilers)
Btw I thought of this question partly because of the post before this one about a new Killjoys series (by ExcaliburZSH)
I love a lot of the music in Killjoys and if they made a new series I'd want more great music like the original.
I found a song just a couple days ago that's amazing and I think it could really work in Killjoys. It's part of what led me to this question. It's Atlantic by Kelsey Lu. I'm not quite sure what scene it would be in but when I listen to it and think about Killjoys at the same time, I kind of picture huge versions of the plasma rivers on Arkyn instead of the Atlantic.
I also think Stronger by Raveena Aurora could be a great song for Dutch about the abusive relationship with Khlyen. I'm not sure if the song fits the kind of music in Killjoys but I love the song and maybe it could work.
What do you think ??
Killjoys ended at a good point, the story could be done or a new story could happen. Would you want to see more Killjoys, a continuation with Team Awesome Force or a new group. The show mentioned RAC Intergalactic but was always light on details. Do you want to see more of the J, or the rest of the alphabet?
Anyone you would cast? Want writing?
