Hello Everyone- a group of about 15 of us are headed to killington for a Bach party from Massachusetts. It’s mostly all college friends and we’re looking to party it up.
Are there any Apres Ski type of places that have a party, dj, or band at the base of the mountain? More than half the group doesn’t ski or snow board, but will definitely drink and party and wait for the rest of the group.
Any recs for both day time and night time would be appreciated.
Hello! I saw on Instagram that the Beast is open top to bottom. Does that mean all of the trails are open? I wasn’t sure since the website says only 13 trails are open and that beginner terrain will open in December
I regrettably bought lift tickets/convinced friends killington would be the move for this weekend due to snow/trails open etc. Completely forgot about the world cup...
Do they close Superstar the whole day? That means what 1 lift available for the masses that are coming to see this?
They don't do refunds on lift tickets do they?
Concerned that we'll get maybe 2 or 3 runs in... wish i was paying attention.
I’m heading up to killington tomorrow night 11/28 to board for a day 11/29. Just wondering if anyone here has a set up for one night. Probably just crash in my car if I can’t find anything so send good parking spots for that too. 😂
I am heading to Killington and plan to snowboard for tomorrow and the day after. I just saw that the lifts are closed for today… Just wondering if they are going to be opened tomorrow? Or they are actually opened today as well?
A group of my friends (about 16 of us) are heading up to the mountain on 12/12-12/15 for my boyfriend's 25th birthday. Half of us are skiing, however there are about 7 who cannot/will not be skiing. Are there any activities in or around Killington that aren't snow sports? I saw suggestions like "go to the covered bridge" in Woodstock or the Ben & Jerry's museum, but is that really all to do if you aren't skiing or snowboarding?
I’m coming from outside the US to ski for a couple of weekdays Feb 18-20. I’ve never been to Killington but I’d love to bring my young adult kids there. We’ve been to other Vermont mountains in the past (Jay, Stowe) I believe Monday Feb 17 is a holiday, to folks who know this mountain, would you expect crowds to be bad during that week? Appreciate your input. Thanks!
Right now there seems to be a status saying that the lifts are closed for de-icing so I assumed the mountain is closed for skiing.
Is there a chance skiing is not open for tomorrow and if so do we get ticket refunds?
Want to go for a weekend this season. Can I car camp? Which parking lot is best for that? Are there places to take shower?
Hi everyone,
I wanted to take my girlfriend (who loves skiing) to Killington for Thanksgiving. We booked the Airbnb and the car (coming from NYC) but the trails are still barely open. The weather forecast looks like it's getting colder and snowier (see below). My theory is that this forecast is at the base but that higher in the mountain it will be colder and therefore they should have more snow and be able to make snow.
But I could be completely wrong! Maybe that's not enough and we don't wanna go all the way there if less than half the trails are open. For those who are used to going there, what do you think? Any chance most of the trails will be open by Thanksgiving?
Thanks!
I was curious whether it is worth it or not to drive all the way up to vermont on friday so I can get some good early snowboarding in. I understand there’s supposed to be some rain on thursday and friday with a little snowfall on saturday, so I don’t even know if it’s worth going. it’s a 10 hours drive both ways
Hi! We’re looking to board 2-3 days during the week in January. Would love any advice on where to stay/ deals for lift tickets.
Thanks so much in advance
Hi folks booked a week at Klington this spring. Will be the first time on skis for my son so I want him to have several days of private lessons but they are quite pricey. Would love to come across folks in a similar situation that would be interested in our kids learning together and splitting the cost.
Please DM me if interested or have some suggestions. Cheers.
Hey guys, I'm bringing a group to killington at the end of January, we're all mainly beginners so i was thinking of taking a group lesson at pico for the first day, get a feel for everything and then going to killington for the second day to experience the bigger mountain and different trails, and go tubing, would you recommend this or just staying at pico? We're all 21-28 and would like to experience apres as well.
I'm a bit confused on how I should buy tickets, here are the options i'm thinking, please correct me if im wrong. Also are the lift tickets interchangeable for both resorts? Can I go to both with one ticket?
Option 1
Day 1- Pico, Get rentals, take a lesson, and buy a $94 p-voucher
Day 2- Killington, Get rentals, and buy a $139 k voucher
Option 2
Spend both days at Pico
Option 3
Spend both days at Killington, I didnt really want to spend both days here because its way more expensive.
Thank you in advance!
I’ll be coming to Killington in December for only the second time. I just learned about the voucher program.
The days I’ll will be there a lift ticket is $187/day but I can buy a voucher for $139/day instead and still get full privileges?
Seems to good to be true. What’s the catch?
Saw the website showing tickets are available for purchase beginning this Saturday, 11/9 but curious what people think the realistic chances of it are?
looking for condo or house for 4 kids, 3 bedroom, world cup weekend. Any tips on best places for ease of getting around quick and to/from parking etc. We are not familiar with Killington or surrounding...
I'm in NYC and its 70 degrees the day before Halloween. No idea what the weather is like up in Killington right now. I do know that the FIS race at Killington is just about 1 month away. What do the locals say about chances of this thing getting scrubbed for lack of snow on Superstar?
So I have a disabled son in a wheelchair. He and my wife usually stay in the house or move around town if possible while myself and other son ski. Anyone have good recommendations for a place to stay?
Hi,
Bought 1 k-ticket but have since gotten injured. Hoping to sell at-cost, dm if interested! Thanks, all!
First 'new' trail route in 7 years! I absolutely love this change!
My family and I want to come up mid November for two weeks for a ski trip. Is this a good time to go if we actually want to ski? Before Thanksgiving? If not when is the best time ?
Hi Folks,
Does anyone know the deal with lower sunrise, and the legality of skiing/uphilling on it? Does Killington or the state own the land (still)? Does it hold snow mid-season? Are you allowed to leave the ski area at the base of the triple?
I have fond childhood memories of skiing it, and would love to "earn some turns" there one day.
Some context here: I’m a pretty big park rat and just moved to Killington for the winter season. It was just announced that local pass-holders bought Killington and thus Woodward will not exist anymore. NGL I’m a little bummed as I’ve ridden Woodward Copper and loved it, so I was looking forward to a similar style park here in VT. However, I’ve never actually been to Killington before and have never experienced Kparks which is again taking over. How are locals feeling about the park system switching? Any benefits to it that I may not know about? Just feeling out the vibes, thanks!
I'm excited, but a little worried about what it might mean for Spring '25.
In Pittsfield on a solo trip and want to check out some of the nice houses and roads/views in Pittsfield & Killington (mostly to daydream). Any recommendations?
Saw some lovely homes by Trailview Dr. today. So many cool 70’s homes!
Hello fellow new Englanders! Im from maine but my best friends family dog got out yesterday. Please please keep your eyes out for sweet laila.
Yeah I know, you don't know. But I'm just wondering if it's possible for them to be open in October?
Coming up to killington 20-23 to hike, mountain bike and relax. Anyone going to brewfest?
