Hi everyone!
I’m based in the Boston/Brookline area and planning a trip to Killington Resort for skiing. I’m looking to head up there either the last week of February or the first week of March (dates flexible).
If anyone is driving up around that time and has space, I’d love to join and split gas/toll costs.
Let me know if you’re interested, and we can coordinate the details.
Thanks!
We're flying in from out of town tomorrow and getting a rental for the week. We booked an AWD car, but with not much snow in the forecast, was wondering if a standard FWD car would work? It's a $250 difference, so any local knowledge would be much appreciated!!
Are there ubers around here on a friday saturday?
Going with a small group for a quick ski trip. What places have the most fun apres and which days are best at which places?
This might be a dumb question and meant to be confirmatory, but does the Rutland<>Killington The Bus pick you up from the K1 Base Lodge? I see on the schedule that it'll drop people off there, but nothing about picking up?

Going up to killington presidents weekend. A few years ago we went to foundry and I remember liking it but people here seem to be bashing it. Where else do you recommend to eat a nice dinner?
Fast pass or no for winterfest? My buddies and I are coming up for the weekend. One suggested it. I’d rather same the money if possible. Thoughts? Last time I was at killington I don’t remember a fast pass option. Lines were pretty much non existent. But that was pre Covid so help please!
I am going to Killington tomorrow for the first time even though I live an hour away. I have a two questions before I go.
I want to get as many runs done as possible. How should I go about lifts/runs to maximize how much I can get done? I looked at the map, but it felt a bit overwhelming. I typically head east to ski Sunapee or Gunstock.
It looks like there are multiple parking lots on different parts of the mountain. Does it matter which one I park in?
Thank you.
Did the customary one gondola ride to hit Catwalk around noon ish then went over to Bear and on the way back around 2:30 ish it was closed. A couple guys we rode up with on the Snowdon 6 said they were sitting still for like 20 minutes then slowly made it to the top. Anyone know what happened?
Hello everyone,
Taking a trip up to killington this weekend and I'm looking for the best place to rent skis in the area. Cheap is preferred. Would greatly appreciate any recs.
Thanks!
Got some buddies going to hit Killington beginning of February. How are conditions/how should conditions be then?
Any fun events going on?
Heading up to Killington next week with a big group (12) staying at an Airbnb in Pittsfield. We’d like to check out the nightlife and ideally avoid having to have 3 designated drivers in our group. Unfortunately looks like our Airbnb is outside the shuttle radius for Pickle Barrel.
Are there any transport companies you would recommend that we could arrange drop-off/pick-up on a Saturday night for a large group?
Hey all, just trying to get some information on the learn to ski or ride package. I have a friend who’s never skied before and wants to learn whereas I have been going since I was two. The learn to ski or ride package seems like a good deal, but I noticed on the website it doesn’t say whether the free ticket is also a limited lift ticket to only snowshed or ramshead, or if the free ticket is full mountain. Obviously, I’ll be with my friend a bit more after the lesson is over, but while they’re in the lesson it would be nice to hit some of the harder trails on my own if possible. Does anyone have the details on this or should I just call customer service and confirm?
We’re rolling in next weekend. Are there any businesses that have Canadian at par or any incentives like that? We’ve seen it at Jay, so I thought I’d ask about the beast. Looking forward to it either way. Thanks!
Does anyone on this forum own a condo that they rent / airbnb out when they aren't using it? My family is looking to invest in a property and we recently stayed at the sunrise condos and loved it so much. Just looking for first hand experience here- how is your rental going? Do you find you make enough to cover the mortgage? Etc. There would be four of us financing it.
Has anyone taken an advanced snowboarding lesson at killington? Or at any mountain for that matter. Hoping to hear your experience and if it was helpful.
SOLD
Similar to the other guy who posted last week, this is a cancellation voucher/credit from last year. My knee is injured this year so I can't go.
Expires 3/5/25, selling for $275$250
Getting dropped off around 730 on a weekday as I took the day off and my wife needs the car. But where can I kill an hour and half until the lifts open at 9am? Are the lodges open, do any of them serve breakfast? I'm going to have all my gear with me so looking for a place a can drop off my skis (in a relatively) safe spot and relax for an hour.
Simple question. I am having my bachelor trip there for the weekend. Weather and trail reports look great, but can someone who has been there tell me how the snow is?
Hey guys, planning a trip with ~12 or so people for this weekend. A few years ago, we went to Pickle Barrel on a Friday night and had the best time. Wondering if Friday or Saturday nights are typically more fun? FWIW, the same band seems to be playing both nights.
Alternatively, anyone recommend Wobbly Barn over PB?
Is there a better week out of the 2? I've read something about avoiding school breaks but I can't find details.
How are the roads by killington area? My beater car is in the shop is it worth it to get a rental or is it safe to send it up there?
Hey everyone, I’m bringing a group of 10 people to Killington for the first time Jan 24-27, and we’re flying into BOS and got a private car to take us to our cabins (roundtrip airport transportation). We planned to use the free shuttle service provided by the popular restaurants to get to and from dinners at night (our Airbnb is within the 5 mile pickup radius). On Saturday and Sunday we hired drivers to take us to and from Pico to go skiing.
Now, here’s the issue, about 3 people of the group aren’t skiing and I’m curious to know if we should get a rental car for them to explore, as it seems Ubers/lyfts aren’t available. I don’t want to hire another driver for the 3 who aren’t skiing because they have no clue how they’ll want to spend the day.
If anyone in here is a driver, and is open to being hired, please let me know lol!
Thanks ahead of time!
Whenever I go into the K1 lodge after 2pm there is always some untalented country musician playing and singing, and I genuinely would prefer no music or a random playlist through the speakers. Maybe they could use the money they would save from not hiring crappy musicians to fix the escalator down to the bus stop.
Does the base area/parking lot shuttle at Killington also go to Pico? Or do you need to take The Bus?

Hi,
I had to cancel my trip last year and got a credit refund thinking that i'll go this year but I can't due to my school schedule. This credit can be used for anything since it's a cancellation credit. I'm selling it for $168 and it's valid till 02/28/25. Let me know if you are interested!
