Give me random key ideas I have one idea with a key that’s capable of like going into a book / a story so how it works is you take a book ( a fairy tail for example ) and instead of needing a door a key hole appears in the book and it’ll transport you into the story not sure what the limits etc. but give me your key ideas :) ( also pretty sure the image is a key from the book I just found it on Pinterest lol )
When the birds attacked Gideon and he dropped ALL THE KEYS, Tyler and Kinsey only grabbed 1…. The 1 key they needed instead kf grabbing as many as they could? Dude these characters are the stupid as fuck and The only reason I keep watching is because the key shit is cool. I can’t count how many times I’ve had to pause and walk away cause I get so mad
I like to have a nice balance of vibes in my show rotation. This show is amping up on scary vibes (I’m in season 1 episode 10). It’s been scratching the mystery vibes itch, but I’ve got some Halloween movie parties coming up and it’s feeling like a lot. Will there be some relief or is this a good representation of what the show will be like here on out?
I'm rewatching Locke and Key rn and I'm currently about to finish S2. Okay so Echo Key brings back people but the bad version and when Tyler used the Alpha Key on Dodge/Lucas, the echo died and Lucas stayed so technically if they use the Echo Key to bring back Rendell and Jackie(and whoever else) then use the Alpha Key, they'll just be their oldself. How come they didn't use it/try to do it?
Does the show ever tell you why the demons want the keys? Or if anyone knows can they spoil that for me?
Spoilers of season 1
I just finished episode 9 of season 1… why did Ellie keep the keys on her when going back to her house?!?!?!?!? If they knew dodge can’t take the keys from them why didn’t they just keep the keys on them while Ellie went to get the crown?!?!?
I just finished season 1 episode 7 and so far every episode Nina Locke has only been a nuisance and an hindrance. She has done nothing but been unhelpful! She distracts Tyler when Sam is in the room with the head key, then she has the gun but tried to charge at dodge when she appeared
Does Nina Locke actually do anything to help? Or does anyone even like her as a character?
Ok so I love Locke and key and I hate that it has some bad elements but sometimes the characters make the dumbest decisions. Ok so I’m on s3 ep7 curtain and they could have killed (or trapped at least) Gideon all they had to do was run out of gordies mind and take the key out and Gideon would have been trapped as long as the key never entered Gordie head tho I don’t know what would have happened once he died (if he dies haven’t made it that far) but the guy should have stayed in his mind it’s just kinda dumb
Is it just me? Or it seems that vol. 4 keys to the kingdom might missing some explanations? Like the clown key or the strength necklace missing explanation?
For the first time ever, I think I've found a show with absolutely no likeable characters!! It's just a series of dumbness!!! The number of times I've struck my forehead in disappointment is unreal!!
Kinsey has become so uptight and senseless, Tyler has so much potential, but idk why writers have written him in such a shitty way! This is show is just a huge disappointment
The only enjoyable character is Dodge(Fullstop)
Edit:: This statement remains true. Just watched the episode where Ellie tells the Locke kids the story about Lucas. Later on she goes back to her place to get the crown, nd no shit....Lucas is there. What pisses me the most is, Ellie took the Crown Key with her nd Dodge found it!!! Like wtf!!! Weren't u expecting this to happen? Why would u take the key with u????? OMFG!!! This show is a series of dumb decisions nothing else! Edit: same episode! Kinsey just barricaded the door to prevent shadows from entering! WOW! Why m I even watching this shit?😭🤦♀️
Her being possessed and turning evil is the best thing to happen to her, she is so hot now. I can’t believe they killed her off in season 3.
The sad thing is i actually like the whole key thing they got goin on, but the writing is the worst I've ever seen. At every junction the characters make the worst fucking decisions possible, like for example not giving the keys to the only ppl they can't be taken from and then also bringing the crown key to the villain????? I'm just done with season 1 and I can't stop cause i like the lore but nobody better be surprised if i kill myself after finishing it
About two weeks ago I finished my second watch, a consecutive binge of the three seasons, and it was SO much better than my first watch.
I was so invested in everything and everyone, I love Kinsey, I love Tyler, omg Nina's actress is doing an amazing job, I was very surprised to find out she doesn't have a lot of major acting jobs and that's too bad.
In my first watch I really didn't like the ending, probably because, just like Bode, I didn't want the magic to go away (+ I wanted to see more of the new keys). But the second time around, it felt like it ended really well, very closed and very emotional.
I still wish we could have seen more of the new keys, the >!Snow globe!< key was so cool but underutilized, I like that the >!Timeshift!< key got a bit of a spotlight (>!and the entire wedding episode was just great!<), I loved the >!Creation!< key and that it practically got all the spotlight in the last episode. (Also the >!Animal!< key didn't get much place in the show, but it was a cool KEY device in Bode's case)
Overall, I loved this show, it's one of my favorites of all time, and I really need to read the comics
I loved season 1 and i'm on Season 2 episode 5 and this season is already bugging me
The writing this season so far has made the Lockes look like a bunch of chumps to the villan like they're missing obvious things letting the villan win easily idk maybe it's just me. Oh and why the hell wouldn't they check "Dodges" body for all the keys before throwing her through the demon door and being like, We lost them to Dodge" and then it be like How did it mysteriously reappear? Like cmon!
I've been looking back on the episodes that followed his introduction, and I still don't get what the hell was the point of having Gideon replace Dodge as the show's Big Bad.
The modern Lockes have no personal connection to him whatsoever, no grudges, no sense of betrayed friendship, no connection to Rendel. Even Sam teaming up with the Lockes to stop him lacks emotional depth because Gideon wasn't the one who was manipulating Sam all along. The only connection Gideon has is to a man who died roughly two hundred years prior to the events of the series - so why the hell do we give a damn about Old Elon Musket anyway?
Even his role in opening the rift that would become the Black Door lacks any real satisfaction, because there's no explanation for why it happened. All it does is bring his ancestor Josh into the story - who does so little of any import that he might as well not exist.
So, why kill off Dodge when a) Dodge was the villain all the way through in the comics and b) Dodge was the villain that everyone gave a damn about?
I mean, they went so far as to bring up the "Dodge possesses Bode" plot almost as an afterthought, so why was parading Elon Musket around like a roll of used toilet paper so important to the showrunners?
Is it just me or does kinsey "fighting sounds" annoy anyone else?
Dunno if anyone has drawn anything like this or if it exists in the comics. Just thought it would be a really fun idea, comments welcome 🙏
Even his own Variant looks confused...
I thought his disability was CGI until i Googled it. 👍 Hope he has an amazing career in the future.
Also may I note that the majority of the images on this list aren’t what they’re representing. You can see the image for memory is mending in the screenshot, but there are a bunch of others higher up the list
Mine are
Head Key- come on, literally anything is possible there, the world is yours to make your own rules and do whatever you want, you could know or not know anything, you could learn anything, the possibilities are literally endless
Angel Key- I love flying, going up high then just falling down, I love that feeling in your stomach plus having wings sounds cool asf
Matchstick Key or Anywhere Key- idk I like fire and being able to go through any door seems really cool, I’d be the hide and seek GOD
What are yours?
Perhaps I'm a slow learner, so anyone who have read or watched and understood, could you enlighten me of this question: We understand that the keys are magical, but also very dangerous. What's the logic behind : let the kids find the keys, but not the adults, they should forget it. Did they think the kids can handle things better? I know someone will say, it's a fiction. Fiction is fiction but it also has logic. The rule is anybody who got passed 18th birthday would forget the keys. But consider the keys are very dangerous, i doubt any Locke kids can survive that. Basically their ancestors wanted to kill them. 🤣
Whoever wrote this series needs to be punted out of the industry permanently.
Seriously, how many times can you use a convenient accident and naivety as a plot device? Oh we have this plan, we'll use this key. loses key immediately. Whoops, we had no other plans. Go to school. lose another key Go home...
Every. Single. Episode.
It's okay to make the viewer frustrated at the characters and want to punch them. It is not okay to rip the viewer out of the show and make them want to punch you.
