katamari family fell to earth…

I love the idea of this game. Ive been wanting to play it for years and was stoked when i finally got a switch so i could play we love katamari, but i suck at it. All i do is disappoint the king and he insults me. Ita fun to roll things up, but i always run out of time just as im getting big. When i do manage to not anger my king/ father, nothing changes on the level select screen.

Then i looked up some tips on YouTube, suggesting i do dashes. But when i attempt to do them more than half the time, my character does a sharp 180 and heads in the opposite direction of wherw i was trying to go. The dashes are damn hard to pull off with the individual right left controllers but i can aim and turn better with them. But when i use the connecting controller piece ao its like a traditonal controller, i can do the dashes, but then its like pulling teeth to steer.

Wtf? What is my problem?

I’m probably going to glaze this with my other Katamari themed clay pieces after I finish painting them. I’ll make a post with all of the finished pieces when they are done! I love everything about this game, it’s so colorful and silly. Another day to be rolling stars!

Does anyone remember what website this was on? It was the same year as YouTube, so I think the trailer came in late 2004 or early 2005 on GameTrailers or maybe ScrewAttack. It featured some basic gameplay and a rare version of Everlasting Love that has Ba-Ba-Ba instead of lyrics

I have been trying to get the present on the ship in the race satiate but can never pick it up. Does anyone know what size you have to be in order to pick it up? TIA

For the pastt few weeks i've been looking for a Keita Takahashi Games Retrospective video that seems to be wiped off of youtube. I just happened to randomly remembered a segment from the video and wanted to watch it again, but I could never find it. Iirc, the video was about 1 hour long, and it went through all of the games that keita takahashi has worked on up until the playdate console. The video went through the games in this order if im not mistaken:

• Katamari Damacy
• We Love Katamari
• Noby-Noby Boy
• ALPHABET
• Wattam
• Time Travel Adventure

The only notable thing about the video that I remember clearly was when the video narrator read the letter at the end of Noby-Noby Boy, and its stuck with my ever since. Besides that though, I dont remember anything else. If anyone knows of this video or has it saved somewhere, please share it

I have played katamari in the Xbox cloud gaming a few times without any issues or glitches at all, but last time it was unplayable.

I recently got We Love Katamari via Xbox gamepass and I've been really enjoying it! However, I've been really struggling with one part. In the fire level I was able to light the fire just fine the first time, not sure how I did it honestly. And now I've been getting back trying to get Kinoko and I've been trying all week to get them. I've taken time just to keep playing the level trying to get them and I haven't had any success.
I'm able to roll them up just fine but it's lighting the fire that I can't seem to do and I'm not sure what I've been doing wrong. Does anyone have any strategies for getting them?? I might be overthinking it but I've been trying so hard to get them it's been all I've been able to think about all week. When I'm at work all I can think about is what I could possibly be doing different to get this dang mushroom. I don't know why I can't do it. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated :)

Tomorrow is the 20th anniversary of the NA release of Katamari Damacy so I wanted to celebrate by streaming a bunch of the games, including Beautiful Katamari. Specifically it's online multiplayer mode since that is unique specifically to that game. I tried it earlier today and it's community is dead.

So I was hoping some of you might be willing to hop on tomorrow around 2 PM eastern time. Probably a bit of a long shot.

I was playing co-op multiplayer and I noticed it was showing my right stick (bound to I,J,K,L on PC) was recieving the J input to go left. It seems to still drift a little to the left on single player mode. Is this something I can fix? Doesn't seem to be a keyboard issue as I tested it and there was no input on the J key. Any advice would be great.

I'm having trouble getting the fireball large enough within six minutes. I'm only getting up to 2-3 meters. The level is almost impossible.
