I'm heading out of town for Thanksgiving and wanted to bring local beer that my brother-in-law doesn't get in Chicago. I'm trying to avoid the "big" local breweries like Boulevard and KC Bier that he's had 1000 times before. Is there anywhere locally that I can buy cans from multiple breweries (Alma Mader, Torn Label, BKS, etc) without driving to each tap room?
Anyone know of local breweries offering wet hopped beers on tap?
Looking to pick up some beers this weekend, need inspiration. I’m a bit IPA’d out at the moment.
Is it legal to make alcohol from rice in Kansas for personal consumption?
I'm interested in making makgeolli, a traditional Korean alcoholic beverage, at home. Do you have any advice on whether this is legal in Kansas?
Hey everyone!
I’m gearing up to launch a new beer company and have been toying with the name “Triple 2.” I’m curious to know what you all think about it!
Does it strike you as a catchy name for a beer brand? Would you be tempted to try a beer just based on the name alone?
I really want to create something fun and memorable, and your thoughts would mean a lot to me. Thanks in advance for your input!
Cheers! 🍺
Title. I'm interested but also hesitant to commit to a six pack
Nice little small business, but only the Porter and Pale ale were decent beers.
Just discovered smoothie beers from 450 north and am trying to source some in town.
Anyone know of a brewery that does thick fruited slushy beers? They were so good
Im getting married in October and im putting together some groomsman gifts. Most are from out of state and im trying to give them a variety of small things that are KC business specific (fry spice from Joes, whiskey from Rieger, etc). I’d like to get them a YETI style tumber from a KC brewery but am having trouble finding anything (I don’t really want a glass because a lot of them are flying in and I don’t want them to mess with it maybe getting broken in their luggage)
Any breweries sell any merch like that?
Im curious with a few questions about what craft beer drinkers in KC are wanting or getting tired of seeing/never ordering. I brew some small test batch beers in the city and am always looking for new ideas and styles to try to target. I'd love to get opinions if people are willing to share.
What beer styles do you think Kansas City breweries are lacking and could benefit from producing said styles? What's missing? What's over-produced/saturated?
Does anyone know if they still sell Odell Drumroll in 12 packs and if they exist in kc?
39th Street Brewery right at 39th and Terrace opened today. Can’t say anything for the quality- they were pretty busy and “small pours” were 10oz, so I opted to come back some other time. Just a heads up for anyone interested
Visiting KC in a few weeks. Gonna catch a couple soccer games and a royals game. I’m familiar with Boulevard (I’ll be visiting) and some of their selection, big fan. Other Brewery recommendations would be appreciated. Also, any recommendations at Kauffman Stadium, 100 section?
I’m looking for suggestions on craft pilsners or light lagers.
I don’t know if I’m using the right beer terminology but im looking for that crisp, refreshing, good acidity taste.
I saw an announcement for a new brewery opening on West 39th. The grand opening is coming up in June 8th.
A great addition to one of my favorite neighborhoods.
Hey everyone, I apologize if this has been asked a thousand times. I'm heading to Kansas City next weekend for a Royals game and wanted to get some recommendations...best breweries to check out and if there are any craft beer bottle shops in the area...any help is appreciated!!
I was at the bock fest near at kc bier co last weekend and I found out that because they can’t sell it, they meet somewhere And give it away. I think Vf in Lenexa or something is what I heard on the third Thursday of the month I can’t remember and I don’t know where that is
edit: THEIR******
Anyone going to Arrowhead for the 2024 KC Summer Brew Fest today?
Looking forward for to it. Have a pretzel necklace ready.
Haven’t had the occasion to stop by Transport even though I live in Merriam. Decided to roll through Shawnee on my way to run some errands and stopped in for the cask Irish stout and it’s really good. If you’re not familiar with cask beers they have low carbonation and are served at room temp. Yum
Boulevard stopped making this beer early last year or the year before. Can’t remember exactly but it was my favourite beer. Has anyone else found something comparable to this beer?

Former brewer and general manager of Sandhills Brewing, Robb Mann, opened Boho Brewing just over a year ago in the new development area in Parkville, Missouri.
The beers are good, but if you're looking for a Boho vibe, this isn't the place. I'm sure there's some meaning behind the name but Boho Brewing is a typical new build brewery. It's nice especially the outside with Creekside's developments including plenty of food options, outdoor games in the courtyard (right outside Boho), and live events.
I like it enough, but with so many other breweries, it's not somewhere I visit frequently. I visit more so if I'm going out with friends, but if you're close enough and/or like the vibe/beers, it's fine to go to alone. Bartenders have been nice and the beers are good.
Looking forward to hearing your opinions and/or questions! Cheers!

I have not been here but I'd make a stop if I was in Topeka. They have a 14 bbl brewhouse with 9 fermenters. Blind Tiger is named for the Prohibition era custom of illegal drinking establishments displaying stuffed tigers to alert patrons of the availability of illicit alcohol after hours.
Looking forward to hearing your opinions and/or questions! Cheers!
