'Cause I'm not feeling all that good about our current state of readiness following what we've seen happen this past month in Los Angeles. 🫤

How the heck do u make friends in this city?

Just moved here and looking to meet new people or just get some ideas for things to do around here

I love it here. i came from vancouver and had lived there all my life, but visited here often for family. it’s been a year and a half and i have no regrets. i’m a big outdoors person so the scene is spectacular year round.

The job opportunities are also pretty strong, there are quite a few businesses always hiring, and the growth of this city is pretty cool

My biggest issue is the opioid epidemic (more of a provincial thing). crime is rising fast and seeing the druggies is never a nice sight, especially when they bring their garbage to the nice areas of the city. the province needs to start institutionalizing these people and bring them back to life imo.

lmk what you think of kamloops and which neighborhoods are best, and worst.

Not having luck with companies calling back or Google so thought I’d try here. Time sensitive as we leave town in a few days. Basement has some leaks along an outside wall to the bottom concrete bricks and seams. Need someone to assess for dry proofing ASAP. Any recommendations or companies to avoid would be great. I would like to go ice fishing this weekends and I heard red lake is a good spot for it. Just wanted to ask Kamloops locals if that is a good place to ice fishing and how's the ice condition over there. Is the ice more than 10inches thick?

Looking for any tips or guidance for doing some snowshoeing in the Kamloops area, but more specifically what's available and accessible in the immediate vicinity of Sun Peaks. We'll be in Kamloops for two days and then Revelstoke for an additional two. Barring a lack of snow, I'd like to make some snow shoeing happen in both places, but preferably Sun Peaks. Can one park in the Sun Peak resort village area without issue? Are there snow shoeing trails at Sun Peaks that require passes be purchased or will it be possible to access terrain free of charge? Fwiw, I do plan on a day of skiing at Sun Peaks as well.

I need to get a surgery done to remove the side of one of my nail on my big toe, and it has been an absolute pain to find a place to get that done. They are all super happy to ask me to pay 100$ first visit fee so they can tell me IF they do the surgery, so they can hopefully tell me I need to pay an other 100$ plus the surgery on a second appointment.

So here is what I want to know. Do you guys know any place that actually does the surgery and don't need to gouge me out of my money just to make appointment to tell me what I already know and tell me they need to rebook again?
