Hot take here: Tokyo Central is worse than 7-11 for getting everyday groceries. It's just as expensive and there's no variety. I wanted to give this place a try. I even got their bentos. But after unsuccessfully trying to find beef broth and realizing they have instead two shelves dedicated to chicken broth and 700 sq. feet of retail space for Anime Mecha bullshit, I called it quits and went to Safeway. I miss the old times at the old Times.
We just lost power on Iliana St. anyone else?
Felt like it lasted about 10 seconds long.
The UH Cancer Center’s Healthy Diet & Lifestyle Study 2 needs more adults (age 35-69) on Oahu, especially men, to explore how diet & exercise can reduce cancer risks. To check if you're eligible and learn more, follow the link
Aloha Kakou,
I am in need of renting a trailer over 6 feet. Does anyone know of a place that is open tomorrow 11/30? Or by chance, I can rent from you?
Mahalo nui, Karissa
Why is someone setting off a single firework every hour or so over the past month? Worst damn neighbors.
Aloha! My family vacations to the area two weeks every year and we are finally moving there. I got a job on MCBH. We want to live in Kailua. Could you guys give me some pointers about the elementary and middle schools, which schools you like and which schools you don’t and reasons. Are there any areas that wouldn’t be good to live with small children? Thanks for any help you can give us!
Is there anywhere in Kailua to make reservations for a nice dinner on thanking?
They claim they don't want to post political things but continue to post political things to spread their right wing propaganda
Just a reminder that everyone's favorite "find my lost dog" page also promotes right wing talking points about immigrants voting and snippets of the weekend's Kool Kristian Kollaberation with some millionaire preacher. I'm not saying to unfollow because you might need help to find your dog, but nobody should take Daniel Cassler's clown page as an actual news source. It's the local version of Project 2025.
Stay vigilant my fellow Kailua residents.
Nice looking old bike on the corner of Keolu and Kamahele for the last few days. License number is 44023.
I haven’t looked in some time, but when I checked recently, it seems like there are very few AB&Bs available in Kailua anymore. Were new regulations put in place (or previous refs more stringently enforced) so that fewer units are now available? I’d love to stay in Kailua on my next visit, but mostly what is offered on AB&B are hotel rooms in Waikiki. What is the story?
