Issue is basically as the title says, whenever im at or near steering lock i get a bunch of error codes pop up such as ECU failure, Immobilizer Failure and MTC+ABS failure. Bike will start up and run fine afterwards aside from not having any abs or traction control. Vid included for reference. Wanted to know if anyone else has had anything similar happen and what seemed to be the issue!
Looking at used 1290r, 3rd gen, around the £10,000 mark. Seen a couple I’m interested in. Wondering whether it’s best to get one that’s only done 600 miles and had it’s initial service, or one that’s done about 3000 miles, therefore had a chance for any initial niggles to be ironed out.
About a £500 pre haggle price difference.
Appreciate any thoughts
Hey everyone, Recently met with an accident on my bike and fractured my collarbone. I'm good recovering and the bike is good, the crash guard took majority of the damage. I won't be able to ride for the next 3 months or so how do I store it (already disconnected the battery) what else can I do to keep it well.
Thanks in advance.
This morning when I was about to take my rc125 to work I noticed the check engine light was on, I tried to start it but it makes a little splutter then stops, the lights are working fine so I wouldn’t think it’s the battery but it is due for a service. Any help on how to fix it or what to do would be great.
DO it, f*** me up, hit me with all the negativity you got
Edit: thanks all for the reality check, I will not be getting a KTM 😄
I am currently trying to time my engine and it has two timing marks. Which one should I use for it to be correct?
Working on my bike, doing valve shims, suspension, and Carb work. I have no idea where these came from or what the fell out of, does anyone have any idea?
What’s everyone paying for a new 390 adv here in the states?
Has anyone upgraded their 890r shock? I’m having a lot of trouble dialing mine in at the track and starting to consider other options, but it’s hard to tell what might actually be an upgrade. I know there’s the WP 7746, and the super pricey K-Tech TRDS-R, but other more affordable options seem like they might only be upgrades for the base 890. Having trouble finding any comparisons/reviews for R upgrades.
I was doing a service on my 1290 sdr and noticed this. Both middle spark plugs from both cylinders. Never seen this before, let alone on both cylinders at the same time..
In my four months old KTM adventure 250, I'm facing the below issues:
I have informed these issues to service centre. They found handlebar bend, Disc plate bend and alloy wheel bend
So they have replaced the Handlebar, disc plate and alloy wheel under warranty. Now wobbling issue is reduced to 20% from 100%. But still when I apply the front brake whole front section twisting towards right side.
What might be the issue and how to solve this? Please comment your suggestions
Place: Tamilnadu, India.
Note: Vehicle never faller or met an accident. Not even harsh riding.
I just installed the CUO onto my 2023 KTM 250 SX-F. I heard that the ECU needs to be reflashed to be able to work with the CUO. I installed it anyway and everything paired perfectly. I’m able to create engine maps and upload them to the bike, along with doing the suspension setup recommendations; although I haven’t tested the gps or litpro yet. The only issues I’m seeing is that when I create a map, I don’t have the track condition and track type settings. Other than that everything is normal and working. Could this be because of the ECU or is it just an app update that changed it?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
I went for a ride yesterday & all was fine, I did notice a slight lag in power delivery though, but it was minimal. Today morning when I started it up, I was greeted with this sound, but it rode just fine. About half & hour ago the sound has become more pronounced & I'm getting like 20% throttle response. RPMs are rising but the bike is barely going above 50ish kmph even when more than half the throttle is applied. Any idea what might be causing this?

Hey guys, which handlebars are you guys using on your 690 enduros?
I’m looking for higher handlebars rather than bar risers. About 30mm would do it, can you recommend something?
Just bought a 2024 ec300 gas gas has 20 min run time trying to break it letting idle warm up and cruise at low throttle yesterday started it warmed up I was cruising in second gear and died like I hit the kill switch not stutter or anything and won’t start. Changed the spark plug and no change just cranks.
Hey guys I’ve had a 390 adv before but I ended up getting into an accident with the bike and have had 2 different bikes since that bike. I’m looking to get another 390 in February when the new models come to my local dealer. Depending on the deal I might just get a 24 leftover if nothing works out with the new 25 model. My question is it still feasible to get a new KTM with all the issues the brand is currently having financially? I just don’t want to invest money in a bike if the brand will no longer be around, for example parts, servicing, warranty, etc. I’ve had 8 bikes now from sport bikes to dual sports of all different displacements and the 390 adv has been the most fun I’ve ever had so I would love to get another one. thanks be safe riding out there 🤟
Looking for a mount for my iPhone 16 for my Duke 790. What are the recommendations.
It’s also my first bike. 2 hour ride home was fun. Got a bit hairy coming off the M18 onto the M62 and getting hit by a crosswind. Got to about a ton before the rev counter flashed angrily at me
So ive been working on my duke 390, was planning on opening the head since the bike has been using coolant. Suspecting the head gasket, this confirmed it... The oil seems fairly clean, so I was suprised to find all this in here. Could something else also be wrong or is this caused by the headgasket also? Do I need to clean the engine itself out or am I fine just replacing it etc, than flushing it with oil after a few hundred kms?
I own a 2023 KTM rc390. The problem is hard to describe, I was riding otw to work and as I exited the highway I hear a burbling sound. Almost like a flat tire so I pull over and check and it’s my exhaust burbling. So I turn the bike off and let it sit turn it back on and the RPMs at idle are jumping from 1k-4k by itself (it usually idles at a steady 2k) so I leave it while I’m at work and come back later that night to see if it’s working and I turn it on it’s still doing it and the engine dies randomly and while I’m riding the rpm’s are jumping making the bike pull and decel on its own. I’m not sure what it could be. me and my buddies researched it and it said most people have this issue around 7k miles it could possibly be fuel filter, spark plugs, or a backpressure issue. If anyone has any insight that could be helpful I would appreciate it🙏🏽
