Talk to your doctor before making any major changes to your diet, and don't just take advice from some random on Reddit.

Get juiced! Drink your fresh veggies! Trade recipes, tell stories, inspire others to get jacked up on good juice. Juice for health!

Juicing means using fresh, homemade vegetable and fruit juices to supplement your diet or as a temporary meal replacement for the purpose of improved health and/or weight loss.

Blending, where you blend whole raw or cooked veggies or fruits, is very similar to juicing and may be more suitable for some.

Juicing and joint pain

I have been juicing every morning for a few months but my joints start hurting. Any idea what is causing it? Ingredients: celery, lemon, ginger, red cabbage, beetroot, carrots, kale and apple.

What is the typical or most common ounces per day to reap the benefits of different types of juiced fruits and vegetables.

Hi guys new to juicing. Trying to every Suday juice it for the week ahead. The plan is to drink every day either morning or night a certain amount of fruits and veggies combination for us to feel the benefits from it. For clarity I am not fasting or doing a juice cleanse . Just trying to drink daily.

The combinations below are the juices we made in mason jars for the week and plan to do some each week moving forward. Ideally looking for skin and internal benefits.

Kale cucumber celery stalk Golden Delicious Apples 1/2 lemon and ginger and carrots

kale, strawberries, apples, cucumber, celery

Pineapple, Apple, spinach and lemon, beet root and carrots.

Tribest Greenstar Elite vs Pro?

What's the difference between them? On the website I'm looking at the pro model is almost £300 more than the elite and they look basically the same.

Don't mind paying extra if it means it lasts longer or it's stronger but can't tell what the difference is.

Also I heard the pro isn't as good for juicing fruits, is that true?

Fridja juicer stopped working after 2 weeks

Well, I'm returning my new Fridja juicer to Amazon after 2 weeks of use. I simply turned the dial to 'reverse' when I was last juicing, and it went pop, and doesn't work. I did notice that when I went to clean up the last 2 times, there was a little juice that had come out inside the machine where the seal is. I don't get how this would have happened, as the seals are very firm and tight. I would only remove the seal of the actual juicer for cleanup, as per instructions, and then reposition correctly (flat side inside)

Amazon are pretty good with returns though, and I want a refund. Considering purchasing the Nama J2... I am in the UK. If anyone knows anything about a good website to purchase, or discount codes, I would be very grateful :) I'm on the NamaWell website at the moment, but will browse other avenues.

Juicing Preference for 5 day cleanse?

hi! i'd like to embark on a 5 day juice cleanse... but a lot of the plans i found are a bit overwhelming with all the ingredients they list. I'd like something somewhat easy to ensure I follow through, maybe just 1 or 2 recipes.

I was thinking of doing Celery, lemon, ginger, and apple.

Is there another variant I should add in in addition to this one? Would love to hear opinions! :)

Pomegranate Juice

I’ve heard a few horror stories about putting a pomegranate in the juicer. I have the kuvings auto10. I heard it stains and it is terribly hard to clean the juicer afterwards. Can anyone confirm or debunk this for me please & thank you.

30+ day challenges?

Hello there I’m new to juicing but I’m looking to do a proper 30 day challenge. I can’t seem to find anything though! I found a couple three day challenges on Pinterest, I found a challenge by someone on TikTok and the more I read on this sub I’m seeing people mentioned different methods and different challenges for these cleanses. Does anybody have a very well sought after recommendation? Is there any challenge that the majority agree is a great way to get started??

Large post juicing strainer/collector

A few weeks back I saw a video in this group of a lady using a really large post-strainer/collector. I'm using a sieve at the moment, but I have to empty it often. Does anyone recall this video and recall what she was using? Alternatively, if you have other recommendations I'm all ears!

Can you freeze your juicer parts, instead of cleaning it?

I'm thinking of ways to save time and I wonder if you can just throw your juicer right in the freezer instead of cleaning it every time (not the motor). I have the Nama.

Juicer vs blender for nut milks

Curious whether anyone has a strong opinion on making nut milks with a juicer vs a blender.

I have a kuvings cs700 slow juicer, so it seems like it could handle making large batches more efficiently, but the outcome is definitely more watery.

If anyone has played with both, what’s your preference?

Kuvings Auto10

I’ve seen quite a few videos online of people juicing entire fruits. Citrus fruits including the peels. Watermelon including the rind and even pineapple with the peel. But the instructions that came with it specifically state to not include these peels/skins/rinds. Can anyone confirm they include the skins etc with no issue?

Starting 100 day juice fast tomorrow - need some advice

Alright, I’m using a Breville juice fountain plus. It’s already not my favorite, but I don’t have the money to switch to a Nama atm.

I’ve just finished juicing for two days. I have some questions -spinach produces very little juice. Is it worth it to add spinach? It’s one of the pricier items on my list and is adding little to no value to amount of juice

What bases are you commonly using for the highest juice yield?

I saw people say they are spending $50-$70/week on produce but I spent $90 and I went through over half for just two days of juice.

Please give some tips and tricks on increasing juice yield.

Nama j2 overkill for watermelon?

I really like making watermelon juice. I’ve always used a blender and then repeatedly strained it. I was thinking of getting a juicer to streamline the process. Is this overkill to get a Nama j2 for just watermelon and occasionally oranges or is it a good tool for the job?

New to Juicing

So I just bought the J2 Nama and it’s great! I’ve made a few recipes that came with the juicer, but was looking for some other sources. Are they any good Apps, websites, maybe some social media that provide a good resource for recipes? Thank you advanced!

Is there a trick to juicing blueberries?

Good morning/afternoon all!

So I recently got back into juicing (made a previous post about it.) Well I was making a juice last night (also trying to clean out the fridge a little bit) and I noticed that when I added blueberries to the juicer, well not a lot came out (I’m using a Ninja Cold Press Juicer). Luckily I added more to the chute and it started to drip out juice but I’m just wondering is there a trick to juicing berries like blueberries?

Thanks!

Juicing with a balanced diet

Hello all, I’ve been reading posts all day and had a few questions.

I love drinking fresher juiced veggies and fruits. When I get a kick to drink some, I go to robeks and get their “root to stem” fresh juice. I want to get a juicer, but I’m confused about the whole, cold pressed vs centrifugal vs masticating. Also, I’m trying to lose belly fat and eat my fiber. What would a good diet look like with juicing? Thanks all in advance cnce!!!

Can turmeric shots leave teeth stains?

Hi! Earlier, I made a small batch of lemon turmeric shots (no ginger, I wasnt able to buy). Seeing the turmeric stain my hands and practically everything it touches in my kitchen, I'm getting worried on whether this will stain my teeth as well.

I myself already am a heavy coffee drinker, so I don't think I would want to consume any more teeth staining food. Pls lmk ur experience, ty!

Nama J2 "Less cleaning" hack

So if you're like me you juice multiple times a day and hate cleaning after each session. After a I finish making a juice, I pour water to fill up the entire hopper to the top. Let it sit until youre ready to juice again. This allows the pulp inside to not get dry and hard to clean later. When I'm ready to juice again I just let the water out. At the end of the day I do a full clean. Bam! Juice multiple times a day and only clean once! Give it a try!

Nama J2 juicer ISSU

Hi I purchased a Nama back in December and all of a sudden the Auger won’t fit in the strainer. Has anyone had this issue ? I’ve reached out to Nama but no word back yet. I’ve tried the other attachments but it just won’t fit and it’s driving me crazy

My partner smells different when I’m juicing. What gives?

Okay I know this might sound crazy, and we thought it was just a fluke during the first juice fast (10 days), but I’m on a second juice fast months later and once I hit day 4-5, there it is. It’s very difficult to describe, but the best I’m able to get to is that it smells ‘moist’ and ‘earthy’. It’s not an unpleasant smell necessarily, but I wouldn’t want it all the time as it’s very strong. It’s strongest in his breath but I also smell it just coming out of his pores. The only chronic condition he has, that we know of, is a skin condition called tinea versicolor. It doesn’t smell any stronger around his flare ups though. Whatever it is, why do I only smell it when there is no food in my system? Has anyone else had an experience like this?

Celery

So I’ve been juicing celery for a few months now. I don’t really dislike the taste. I usually throw strawberries cherries and or blueberries in there also for the anti inflammatory benefits. Anyway, I usually use the fresh stalk of celery within a few days of purchase. Today I juiced a stalk that is probably about two weeks sitting in my fridge. Looks fine. But holy cow it tastes horrendous compared to the fresh stuff. lol idk just thought it was funny how much of a difference it makes.
