I hate Jungle Boy. I hate him for the same reason I hate Scrappy Doo (Who I see to Johnny exactly the same way I see Scrappy to Scooby). He reminds me too much of Scrappy because I consider both to be annoying characters that bore me to tears that just happen to be young. Cute they both are, just because something is cute doesn’t mean I have to like it.
To put it another way, I see Jungle Boy as Johnny Bravo’s Scrappy Doo. That being said, he automatically gets my hatred. I like his antagonist, King Raymond. I like him far better and see him as an example of when I like the villain better than I like the hero. Truly Jungle Boy is my least favorite character in the show.
It has Johnny dating online thinking it’s a human woman, but instead it’s a female antelope. Not only that, but after a pity date, it turns out that the antelope was just using Johnny to spite her boyfriend, which happened to be the very crab that Johnny was about to eat, lost a fight to and got arrested along with the crab because of the fight.
That’s an extremely crazy scenario, LOL, one that can be seen as satire on how crazy real internet dating can be.
I suppose his stupidly + immortality is funny for a child I guess
I love that episode, but that doesn’t mean I have to lie and I won’t. It’s ridiculous, even for a children’s cartoon, but it’s the exact brand of ridiculousness I love and it’s one of the many reasons why I love to watch cartoons in the first place: Because it’s memorable and fun to discuss.
Some examples of why Jumbo Johnny is so crazy include:
That Uber Mass drink. If it’s dangerous enough to turn someone that big, why did the salesman sell it to begin with (Unless he knew he was breaking the law, but didn’t care. It was outlawed by the FDA, after all.
Johnny not willing to at least follow the recommended dosage and instead drinking the drinks all at the same time. What made him so impatient that he had to get buff THAT soon. The obvious moral here is that good things come to those who wait.
Johnny believing that that Uber dreck made him buff and not fat like he actually was. He couldn’t even lift the washing machine until his last Uber drink and he only managed afterwards because he was that fat. Fat=\muscles.
Bunny’s line of “You’ve gotten house all over the floor.”. Her own son grew to a Godzilla rivaled size and destroyed their house and that understatement was what she could think to say? Plus, she went to get a mere squeegee in order to fix the house instead of far more tools.
The salesman states that he sold an entire case of Mass to an idiot. That could imply that it never makes anyone buff no matter how frequently they drink it, anyway. That’s false advertising, not that I would expect him to care.
Johnny stomps around big and fatter than all get out, then finally threatens the salesman in order to gain an antidote, entitled Inter Mass. Just like Uber, it requires a 6 week and one can a day wait in order to work perfectly, but Johnny, being the hard headed man he is, didn’t learn a thing (Which is also EXACTLY why he can’t get any) and just like with the last drink, he drinks Inter Mass all at once instead of waiting it out and, as a result, gets a tiny body with a head too big to be supported by it. Johnny is his own enemy at this point, due to his combination of stubbornness and stupidity.
So, in closing, I love Jumbo Johnny. It’s crazy in all of the exactly right ways, it’s interesting and it has a useful moral about patience and the consequences of being reckless.
For me it's the fly episode
Carl (after realizing his device works and oblivious to Johnny being in danger): It works?! Oh boy I'm gonna make a fortune. Johnny( as spider creeps next to him) Uh Carl? Carl: Now all I got to do is register with the patent office.... Johnny (shouting) CARL! Carl (realizing) Oh right, save your life (pulls Johnny free)
Hi,
can someone tell me, where I can find all seasons of JB? It seems impossible to find it online, DVD or something.
I’ve watched season one by buying on YouTube but idk where else to watch it cause I don’t see other seasons available anywhere Where do yall recommend ?
I want to rewatch
Her design is completely different. What's up with that?
I remember a scene where Johnny tells a woman, that she "stinks pretty", and I want that audio for a dumb meme. However I can't seem to quite remember the episode.
For additional context: I think he was following her, in that cartoonish way where he's just impossibly next to her or wherever he's going. They may have been in a cave maybe, I don't know. I love this show but I think we can agree that it's kind of blend together over time lol. If you know the episode or remember more about the scene, let me know. Thanks in advance.
All the little jokes and nuances, this show was great at hiding them while still providing a lot of comedy. Watching them as an adult is like watching a different show, I get to laugh at the jokes I never got as a kid
I see it on TikTok all the time and, most recently, Facebook. People saying Johnny is only 17…what? He’s VERY clearly a grown man, and it’s stated numerous times throughout the series. I mean hell, part of the character’s comical existence is that he’s an unemployed adult who still lives with his mother. lol I can’t help but get a little annoyed every time I see someone say Johnny Bravo is a kid because…it just feels like such a blatant insult to common sense, and I wonder how it even originated. Anyone else been running into this weird rumor?
